The Ameren Thanks-For-Giving Parade in Downtown West St. Louis is one of the best in the nation. 46 deg. Fahrenheit. Comedian Nikki Glaser was the grand marshal. She went to Kirkwood High School and lives in St. Louis.
See Miss Missouri, Fredbird, Louie, Santa Claus, bands from high schools- Alton, Belleville East, Madison, IL, Mehlville, and Ritenour- as well as Jacksonville Drumline Institute, John Ford Highland Pipe Band, Lindenwood University, and so much more.
Starting at 9 a.m., they headed east on Market Street toward the Gateway Arch. I filmed with Union Station in the background- a National Historic Landmark that opened in 1894.

We have never made it to the Thanksgiving parade. I realized about noon this year that I wished we had taken advantage of the nice weather to go this year. Looks like it was really nice! You had a great seat, too. Thanks for taking us along!

Thanks for sharing! We're flying in on Thanksgiving morning and hoping to catch the tail end. Is the 37 minutes of your video pretty much the parade in its entirety, that year? Just so we know if we should really rush or not when we get off the plane. :))

Hi- thanks for watching and your comment. I think it actually took almost 2-3 hours, believe it or not. It is televised on a local channel, so there are breaks in between for the commercials. They stop them at the line, and start them in waves. The crowd was probably a little below average size last year because it was pretty cold and had some rain. I think that kept some people away.

If she did that, she must've been down there more by the soccer stadium and Maggie O'Brien's. That's where the very beginning was. I didn't see that. That's a good question- sorry I didn't get it. I did get her toward the beginning coming by in the car. Thanks for giving the video a try. 😃
