@@WhippoorwillHoller You and Mr.Brown are so sweet and I love watching your videos and watching the two of you I hope it does not matter to you two that I am Wiccan/Pagan I love you both the same. I do not judge anyone on their religion and that is the only thing that I fear at this moment. I have had them ask me why I chose that path many a time and theonly way I could explain it was because of my comfortzone and love of the gods and goddesses of the medieval era. But I will let it end there. I know that my grandma would prolly have a fit at first but in the end she would understand after all she is Celtic -- or rather was. I am half Scottish and half Irish.

Sheila, My heart goes out to you at this time. I've been a divorce, my loved ones, my extended family are all gone. I'm here to tell you, just like Miss Lori and Mr. Brown said, you've got to get into the scriptures to find the peace you need. I was married fo 54 years to the love of my life, and he is now gone. My heart was broken. But, the Lord told me he would bring peace and comfort to me and he has. You mentioned your shattered faith and strength. Sheila, Jesus Christ loves you beyond all comprehension. If something happened in your life or in your church, just remember, Jesus had nothing to do with any of that. He wants you to have joy in your life, not sorrow. He is always aware of you and your struggles. You and all of us has a guardian angel assigned to us. We also have family from beyond death that are aware of us and watch over us. So, you have family, an angel, Jesus and our Heavenly Father all that are aware you and want to help you. I've had to do this that I'm going to suggest, and this is what Jesus tells us to do. Come to him with a broken heart and contrite spirit (humility and sincereness) and take his yoke upon you, His atonement, and he will strengthen you, comfort you when it is needed, and the peace you need in your life. One thing I know, he has said "where there are 3 or more gathered in my name, there too will my spirit be. If you want to go to the church you'd been going to, go to another one. I pray I have struck a spiritual string in your heart. I've been thru some pretty bad things in my life and can attest to you, Christ has been the only one that has brought me thru them. Just as Lori and Danny said, the scriptures are what helped them to get thru their hard times. God bless you, Sheila, and take care of yourself. ❤

@@nancylee3575 Thank you for all your kindness and for sharing your heart. I am 52 years old and have been fighting cancer off and on since 2009. And it's CANCER so it is winning! I keep saying I am ready to "GO" But I can't stand the suffering anymore. The look in my kids and grand kids eyes when they look at me as though they are looking at a corps. All my friends and siblings have left me high and dry. Only there when I was able to do and give to them. Now when I need love and support there is no one to turn to. Momma died in 2000 {heart} Daddy died in 2017{Cancer} My son and my husband both have brain damage my daughter is married and gone with a family of her own. God is the only constant in my life! So I seek out youtube channels That seem to have the love. trust and values that I long for. I thank God for the Browns!

I treasure the old church cookbooks that my mom and mother in law collected!

I'm another cook book reader... most of mine came from garage and estate sales. I also have my mom's college cook books when she took a Home Economics course along side her drafting and pre-med classes.

@@rt3box6tx74 I have all of my mom's cookbooks and little notes and recipe cards as well and treasure all of them as she touched all of them. The ones that have her handwriting on them are the most precious to me. Many of her cookbooks and baking books and notes are in German, she was born and raised in Germany. I know German, but some are very hard to read due to their age and heavy use through the years. I will never get rid of them as long as I live, they are just too precious to me.

@@carolineloder2083 Oh yes! I treasure those recipe boxes. I was dumbfounded when I discovered my mother-in-law's recipe box was offered in the estate sale her 3 daughters organized. I grabbed that up the night before the sale. She had several of the community recipe books compiled as fund drives for local churches in surrounding little towns. Good memories because each recipe has the name of the woman who offered it. Almost everybody added their own little unique touch. I still use some of my mom's kitchen cooking cutlery. Stirring a pot of chili with the big spoons she used for 50 yrs inspires me to refine my God-given gift of food preparation.

You should write those stories down, they will be cherished for future generations of your family! ❤️

Charlotte Lineberry right! When I was girl 11-13yo something like that,my parents families mostly lived in NW Arkansas,and I loved it there! We lived in the Panhandle of Texas,but when we went to visit in summer,after the evening meal was finished (we called it supper!)my aunt's would clean up the kitchen and take their glass of iced tea to the front yard and sit. They had the smudge pot(to keep bugs away)& neighbors would come over,sit, and talk! The fireflies were flying around and glowing,the sounds of the night bugs and frogs and birds singing! So peaceful, pleasant, calming! My aunt's made the smudge pot,it was an empty coffee can,some used cooking grease, and an old piece of rag like a wick,to burn for smoke to keep mosquitoes away.
