Our thanksgiving surprise! First grandbaby on both sides. :) We told everyone Ryan was going to surprise me with a trip to Italy on Thanksgiving. We wrapped a present with Lasagna Noodles and Italian Seasoning to throw off those who thought we were going to Italy. Then I pulled out the real surprise. Skip ahead to 6:45 if you just want to see the reactions. :)

The turnaround surprise is a really good idea! Clever way to keep the family from being suspicious or guessing the "surprise" beforehand.

Looks like I should have moved to America many years ago. This is a room full of beautiful people. Lovely vid and even though I had read what it was about, I was so carried away with it that I thought it was only about a trip to Italy! That's how convincing the prank was!!.

Wow! Thank you so much! Our daughter is 9 1/2 and currently in 3rd grade. She’s intelligent and beautiful and is also a big sister to two younger brothers. Happy new year!

@@kaceyklemann I was so surprised when RU-vid randomly brought this video back on my recommendations, but also glad, because it sent me down a nostalgia spiral of watching old videos I enjoyed years ago which made me feel happy for my fellow humans. I was even more surprised that you even saw my comment, moreso that you responded, but very glad to hear that you and yours are doing well and that the first child has beloved siblings. Thank you for answering, it gave me great happiness to know of your family's happiness even tho we are and always will be strangers. Sorry for this long comment. God bless you and yours. P.S. I also watched your Cal's story video, and tho I have many siblings and nephews and nieces of my own, I have never had children of my own, nor will I ever; and that was the first time coming close to seeing a human being born. It brought tears to my eyes for some reason, and a feeling I had never known to my heart. I think it was in part the realization of what every woman has ever gone thru for the sake of having babies and continuing the human race; and the strength of all the billions of women like yourself, and like my mother, who will never be known except to their direct families. No way! That is so neat!! I love the name Reese. We almost went with that for the first name, but Reese Lila sounded odd. Lila is my husband's great grandmother and Reese is mine, so we really wanted to use both. :)
