About Married with Children:
The less-than-lovable Bundys are a radical departure from the saccharine-sweet TV families popular since the days of Father Knows Best. With offbeat humor and unflinching honesty, Married... paints a more realistic picture of middle-class existence, warts and all. Al Bundy (Ed O'Neill) is a shoe salesman who is fond of frequently reliving his doubtful 15 seconds of fame on the football field. Al is terrified of the all-too-frequent amorous advances of his ditsy wife Peggy (Katey Sagal), who spends most of Al's wages at the salon and the mall. The earlier years were the best. I still scream my head off during the episode when Santa Claus jumps out of a plane (or helicopter), his parachute won't open, and he lands in the Bundy's back yard. HYSTERICAL!!!!

Absolutely hilarious and that was without a single scene with Al in it who is usually the catalyst for the humor. This and the Cosby show although opposite ends of the spectrum are the best examples of American families I've ever seen on American television.

@@marissasue319 Yes, wild ones, at least. Farm turkeys, I'd guess not. Hank is a wild turkey. Growing up, we had woods where flocks of wild turkeys would hang out in trees, and harass people & pets. They are very aggressive and annoying, and I don't mind cooking & eating them ONE BIT!
