My only real fear about this show is the fact that Kurtwood Smith is 80 years old now. Say it ends up lasting a few years, he’ll hopefully be in his mid-late 80s. No one lives forever, sadly, but if something were to happen to him while this show is still going, like what happened with George Segal on ‘The Goldbergs’ it will not only devastate the legacy cast but also these young actors. Seriously, it gives me anxiety. He seems to be in excellent shape for his age right now, but you never know.
@@No-onesgayformoleman Technically 79. he was born in 1943 but will turn 80 this year. I’ve noticed that his delivery is slightly slower compared to the original show, and his body movement is a bit stiff. It’s most obvious in the opening scene when he dances with Kitty.
@@iamdonnietae As much as I'm thankful he's still with us and I know it's life, it still sucks seeing him and all the people I seen on TV over the years getting old or dead.
I honestly think if something happens like that, Topher Grace, Laura Preppon, Ashton Kutcher etc would work on the show to make up for his loss and continue the show until it concludes.
I'm okay with it being different with cast not in the car but the song is too fast..I'm hoping season 2 changes it similar how first season of that 70s show was different singer

I don't hear any grunge in this. This is pure punk to me. While punk was a sound in the '90s, it wasn't the primary sound, and punk is associated more with other decades.
Honestly just feels lazy... How hard would it have been to record some actual footage on an old tape recorder?? To give it a bit more authenticity, to use some actual fonts and colors used back in the 90s. And use a new theme with the spirit of the original? A great theme would have been the first verse of Need You Around by Smoking Popes redone to be a bit more upbeat and maybe even with female vocals and when the verse ends add a "yeah" another "I need you around" and top it off with "Hello Wisconsin!" Why, go the lazy route man...
Since they mention riot grrrl so much, in guessing this is supposed to sound like the donnas or bikini kill, anyone know who is actually singing this? All I could find is that the guitarist from the smashing pumpkins was responsible for directing all the music for this show.
I've given this alot of thought and I really think Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana or Alive by Pearl Jam should be the theme song being That 90's Show now. Or something more light hearted like Two Princes by the Spin Doctors.

I watched 9/10 episodes? And I already am hoping for more I know I’ll be waiting a while but still it’s probably gonna be a gem like it’s father show was. (Pun intended) and I still love that 70’s show I have all 8 seasons on dvd.
There would be nothing wrong with them using the 70s theme in the 90s show season 2. Hell cheap trick is still dope to me today haha I honestly expected them to keep the car intro and the song to sound more grungy like Kurt Cobain
The OG song from that 70's show is so much better. I still sing it at times even at this day. It's so catchy and a good reminder of my years in high school working on my homework and watching prison break simpsons, American Idol, King of the Hill, OC, House and that 70's show
This intro is awesome. Although I love the original intros more but hopefully in the intro in season 2, I like Leia with the video camera but hopefully the season 2 intro also has the OG cast in it as well. Like if the season 2 intro is Leia taping at a barbecue and the OG cast is at the party. Or something similar to that.
I think its going to grow on the haters. I watched the whole thing twice and it was even better the second time. There's room to build on the characters friendship too, for anyone saying it doesn't feel like they're friends. They could say the same about the first 10 70s show episodes if they watched with a cynical eye. Can’t wait for season 2!

They need to slow down the theme for next season, make it more grunge-y or something. It’s way too fast, the old theme really hyped me up to see the episode but this one just goes so fast
This song is sung by Brett Anderson of The Donnas, and it’s very much in the style of her old band. She was literally making music just like this at the time the show is set, it’s about as authentic as possible
Eric is a huge Star Wars fan. I think Red should come out of the closet as a huge Star Trek fan. Since he was in Star Trek multiple times. He even played the Federation president in Star Trek 6
Season 2 of That 90s Show? I say add Culver's to the mix, along with Copps Food Center aka Pick N Save, Wisconsin Dells, Menards and Johnsonville! I will love you even more for it.
I also like thats 70s show and thats 90s show and only one cast member that played Steven Hyde will not be in the thats 90s show because the actor that played him is in jail.
They should have gone with a song that was relevant to the 90’s not stealing a song from the 70’s. But that is the current era. Let’s not create what goes with the era we are working with, let’s steal from another era because we are to damn lazy.
I've seen a lot of people elsewhere on the internet losing their minds because this intro is "worse" than the original. But like, the point isn't to be better anyway, the point is that it sounds like a song from the 90s.
I love That 70s show and despite what people have said I'm excited to watch That 90's Show, I can admit That 70's show had many, many issues and I don't think this 'reboot' can really do that much worse compared to the bad episodes of That 70's Show (I love the show, but we can all admit every episode isn't a banger, and especially towards the last few seasons it goes downhill a lot), so I'm gonna go into That 90's Show with an open opinion, though either way this theme song is just terrible compared the original, the original show's opening was iconic and this just speeds right past it like some Nightcore anime op RU-vid video, however I'll keep an open mind and just hope they change this in season 2 and do a full car scene with the opening song getting the full glory it deserves, anyways just keep an open mind while still giving constructive criticism for season 2, because I think this new show could be great with some more effort given to it.
They should have gone with something grunge. Or at the very least, more rock oriented. Like, alternative rock to juxtapose the rock music from the '70s. This is far too punk for the '90s.
Now this isn't me being homophobic or racist in anyway but doesn't it feel like every sitcom now has to have gay Asian. Was in likes of superstore, young and hungry etc... I know they are tryin to get a new version of fez but we have fez in this, may not be every episode but when he is in it he steals the show. There is other ways to go about this instead of trying to do new version of the old characters. Be your own thing
