Ok, so I just found out that apparently that scene with Eric smirking and reds line of "whipe that smirk of your face" was improvised. And that makes it even more a better scene.
Red, was a very powerful character. Well played by Kurtwood. He was a controlling force of every scene even when he did,t have any lines you knew he was there.
@@Illisil yes. Kitty’s actress was in friends, golden girls, Seinfeld and various sitcoms through the late 80s and 90s. I believe she did more before that as well.
Red is actually an extremely nice guy. If he really wanted to, he could have turn Hyde to CPS, but instead took him and never asked for anything in return. Later its even revealed once Hyde is working and paying "rent", Red just saved that money and gives it back to him, when he is ready to be on his own.
Red is a very stereotypical alpha masculine man. When I was little I thought he was just tough for no reason, but he really likes to take charge and protect and his motives are always genuine. He’s always been nice- he’s just very masculine, which in that time period was the norm for men to be that way I guess.
@@futureceo8943 Dude if you haven't watched the show by now then that's on you. Always that one dude talking about spoilers to a show that ended over a decade ago lmao
"All I'm saying is that Daddy works really hard and nothing here is cheap!" "Except you..." "belive me, i'm not cheap " " Fine, free. whatever ! hahahahaha, the best part
The scene where Red talks about a relationship between a father and a son being complex and subtle... That wasn't Eric smiling, that was Topher Grace just being unable to hold it in
Lisa Robin Kelly, an actress best known for her long-running role as Laurie Forman on "That '70s Show," died at age 43 on Wednesday. Kelly had been staying at a rehab facility in California when she passed away in her sleep, according to TMZ. The gossip site was told she went into cardiac arrest and could not be saved. Died Aug 15, 2013
I think this scene was improv after improv after improv and they thought it was going to be a blooper, but they all managed to stay in character, making it one of the best scenes in the whole series
"-All i'm saying is that Daddy works really hard, and nothing here is cheap. -Except you." Hyde must've been so proud of Eric, and I love how Kitty, and even Red aren't reacting to this.
Laurie: all I'm saying is daddy works really hard and nothing here is cheap Eric: except for you Laurie: believe me I'm not cheap Eric: fine, free. whatever
God I love this show! I know it's only been off the air but they NEED to do a reunion show now! With all of the original cast (including the original Laurie and EXCLUDING Randy! What a waste of space HE was!)!
When Laurie said she doubts Steven knows who his father is, they really missed the opportunity for a good "you're gonna end up with a bunch of kids who you don't know who the dads are" joke from eric.
This show is more entertaining when I imagine that : Red Forman is the villain from RoboCop, Donna is the pervert from Slackers and Jackie is Meg from Family Guy. It completely changes the plot. It also explains how Red survived being jobless for years .
