The ep of "going to work day" where Eric goes to Kitty's work and helps her out a bit, only to realize how crazy her job is.. gives him a new respect for her. Love that ep.
Kitty reminds me of my mom and my aunt, minus the cigarettes and booze. Sweet ladies until someone pissed them off. Same with grandma Nelson. Rest in peace, mom, aunt Ethel, and grandma Nelson.
Even though it's set in the 70's, as a show filmed from '98-2006 it still holds up so well. I feel most young people even back then when it was running didn't have much of a clue about the actual 70s or even 80s.
1) Kitty was going through menopause during that season, and she said randomly mean things, but that was the only time she went on a profanity rant because she didn't want Eric to move away to college until the end of the summer and Red let him go. 2) Hyde's Mom abandoned him and the Foreman's let Hyde move in 3) Carnation Instant Breakfast was what he improvised, it used to always be advertised on TV
If I remember with hyde. His mother was an alcoholic the left during season 1 at the end. His father showed up after eight years and then took off with the mom off screen. His mom was known for kind of jumping around. If I remember he found out about his real father later on. If I remember Eric's family took him in after the mom left towards the end of season 1
Lisa Robin Kelly, the actress who played Eric's sister Laurie, sadly passed away in 2013... She was (likely) fired from "That 70's show" and replaced by actress Christina Moore for the 6th season, but 'Laurie Foreman' was written out of the show soon after... Lisa Robin Kelly deteriorated from drug and alcohol abuse and faced arrest and jail time before her death. "That 70's show" lasted 8 seasons... 'Eric Foreman' (Topher Grace) left after Season 7 and 'Michael Kelso' (Ashton Kutcher) left early in Season 8... Actor Josh Meyers appeared in Season 8 as 'Randy' but the show ended w/ both Eric & Kelso appearing in the finale.
I grew up in the 70s and this show is pretty funny. I had four of the same posters that appear in the show. Back then we had a lamp EXACTLY like the one that hangs in Forman's basement. The one between the shower and the door to Steven's room. Good times!
Blu you are looking extra beautiful today. 😍 That 70's Show was hilarious. I was thinking ... I LOVE CAKE TOO!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣 FYI: Liberace was a famous gay piano player. So he would be soft at the playboy mansion. .. and Carnation was a brand of instant milk. Not sure if it still exists, but it was pretty gross.
In the 70s we used to prank people with chocolate Ex Lax. Once I had some left over pyridium (which turns your pee neon orange), crunched it up and put it in my brother's spaghetti. The sound he made in the morning, in the bathroom, while groggy, and peeing, was precious.
Liberace was a famous piano player, singer ect he was like a big Las Vegas type act. He never came out but he was pretty obviously gay and this was in the 50's/60's/70's ect (after his death friends confirmed his homosexuality even though he never did most notably Betty White). So the joke "how soft is he Hyde" "softer than Liberace at the Playboy Mansion" makes a lot of sense.
Still watch this show nightly, it comes on the tv right at my workout time its perfect lol. Aw man Kitty blow ups are great! Happen just enough imo. Such a great show I have been meaning to start it from the pilot I need to and say this every time I see it!
It's so crazy. A station called "Laff" here has random 70's show rerun eps. It just so happens its all these shows on this compilation vid. It's been going on for about 5 yrs and they never change.
Eric and Laura are brother and sister. Early on Hyde was visiting all the time but later moved in. Liberace was a famous piano player who was known for being "flamboyant". Somehow it came as a shock to many of his fans that he was gay.
They kept the kissing to absolute minimum with Kelso(hard to remember even 1 actual kiss) and Mika was 18 when her character hooked up with Hyde(also the first time she was shown with a bikini or any even remotely skimpy outfit)
@@CrymsonKyng if you don't think they casted that 13 year old with the attention of making her everything she became, cool. I've never seen minimum kisses lead to a wedding IRL. Sam Jackson kissing Megan Good in eve's bayou was minimum. And I don't hear any bells from their end. But at the end of the day I'm just a troll, and this is a show from the US of A where it was legal for adults to marry children in all 50 states until 2017, so I actually think it's a very realistic depiction of what's happening in our society. I'm from MS and I was dating a 22 year old college chick as a 15 year old junior in high school. I just asked the question because people had so much to say about our situation.
Got tbh I cannot look at Donna the same after watching Orange Is the New Black… and whenever Jackie speaks I am waiting for someone to say Shut Up Meg lol what a cast
All you need to know about "instant" in regards to older jokes, it seemed the 70's and 80's had a REAL push for "instant" as the keyword to sell products. "Instant rice" "instant coffee" "instant oatmeal" so saying someone ate "instant" something was just a buzzword from that era to add an extra kick. In recent times the keywords are more like "low fat" or "gluten free" added to things.
Won't say "ass" but immediately recognizes when "porno" is used in a syntactically incorrect way. 🤣🤣 I'm sure it's something to do with ad revenue or sponsors, I just found that amusing.
I'm familiar with the show, since Ashton Kutcher, Laura Prepon, Topher Grace, and Mila Kunis pretty much got their acting careers started, and it ran for 8 seasons, then they did That 80's Show which was a flop :( Blu, it's ok, I'm from the 80's.
If it weren't for the foreman who lied to be part of the jury, Masterson would be in prison. The man didn't disclose being a former cop and that his own son is in prison for sex crimes. He also wrote a letter to the judge saying that no other jury would convict him, which is totally unusual and thus dismissed by the Court. Scientology has a very good relationship with cops and former cops, let's leave it at that.
Used to be my favorite show. Now all the actors just creep me out. That 90's show was weird too. They started the cast at a younger age in their lives and it was so sexual. The first season was only a little then the second season or "part" got uncomfortable to watch. Ashton and Mila had that weird fake apology for defending Danny. Ashton also left a scene of a murder. Not to mention being friends with P Diddy. Topher Grace stayed away from all the rest of them for good reason. A year ago i woulda enjoyed watching this more. I gave Danny the benefit of the doubt but as more and more came out seems like prison is the right place. Wilmer Valderrama also has a kinda gross dating minors thing. Maybe i am completely wrong but there is a lot out there to back all this gross stuff about these people up. I am trying to just enjoy the memories from what was a great show but it just feels weird now. Sorry Blu i can't like this one. But you Rock! And i don't hate on anyone who still enjoys the show. I personally just cannot. I even threw away my old box set.
