It may not have been termed "ball of the century", as was Shane Warne's first ever ball on English soil 12 years earlier. But it was one of the leg spinners most memorable. It pitched way outside off stump and spun two and half feet to bowl Andrew Strauss round his legs. It sparked a superb spell for Warne, and his figures of 6-46 were the best ever for an Australian at Old Trafford.

@@sammarshall2315 - MM was a great bowler... No doubt about it. But taking more wickets is not the mark of a better spin-bowler than Warne. still remember watching this ashes series when I was just doing my A levels. This was by far the best Ashes series ever in history. Warne, not only was domination with his spin bowling, but he also contributed with the bat which helped Australia significantly when the rest of the Aussie batting lineup struggled against the English pace attack. Can't remember which test it was but he played a brilliant knock. What a legend he was!!

Let's take a moment to acknowledge the fact that the ball he bowled to Strauss was a new one. It's incredible to change the trajectory of a new ball to such an extent.
