Sleep Token is that band that ANYONE can fall in love with. Vessel's voice damn near appeals to everyone. Wait until you hear their new Album Take me back to Eden. Definitely best album of 2023 and most rock charts agree.

My husband is always apprehensive when I suggest bands or songs to him because he's older and prefers classic rock and I'm a death metal/core lady. I hijacked the car radio and made him listen to this song and The Summoning and he was like "I'm so sorry, I was wrong, this is awesome." I sat the rest of the car ride being all smug lmao

Glad you're giving Sleep Token a try! Heavy metal subgenres can be tough to nail down. It's hard to explain Sleep Token to new listeners because they go all over the genres of music from hip hop/r&b, blues, and progressive rock and it all depends on which songs you pick next. Other reactors like Nik Nokturnal call them ambient metal or "baddie-core". Their new album Take Me Back to Eden has a little bit of everything but Blood Sport (from the room below) is my personal favorite because it is just so emotionally raw. Cheers!

I said the same thing when I heard them the first time, he has the best voice I've ever heard (my opinion, not a fact, chill out lmao). Listening to more I noticed the intricacy of the drums, then I actually listened to the lyrics and they became my favorite of all time.

Put it like this. I found out about them in January of last year…..and have barely listened to anyone else since then. They are PHENOMENAL. There are heavy songs, light songs, some R&B sounds….they have every genre. Welcome to your newest obsession. The rabbit hole is fun and deep, and worth EVERY second.

I recommend not listening to their "big hits" at first. Go through the smaller ones, the build they go through in each song, the messages. It's so worth it.

Usually fans would recommend 'The Summoning' next - although I'm going to suggest 'Dark Signs' because it's one of my favourites & I'd love to see you react to it.

Ah yes, the Sleep Token Rabbit Hole. I highly recommend their Song Chokehold AND right after that, you should give Will Ramos' Cover of said Song a shot. It shows a complete different level of Wills Voice. I almost enjoy Wills Version more than the original and I really love Sleep Token

Sleep Token's been around for a while, but their newest album (Take Me Back to Eden) sorta broke the Metal/alt-rock internet in the last 12 months. I ended up getting a lyric tattooed. They're amazing, creative, dynamic, and Vessel's vocals are un-fucking-real. Can't wait for you to react to more of their stuff!

Underrated Sleep Token song - The Apparition. On heavy rotation for me

I've only been into them for a couple months, but they hooked me HARD. I've got a playlist with their three albums that I sometimes just play on a loop. My favorite song of 2023 was "Euclid," the last track off their newest album. At the end of the song, the lyrics and melody change to bits from the first song on the first album, bringing it full circle. Levitate might be my very favorite though. It does that full body frisson thing to me where I get chills all over.

I can’t recommend Acensionism enough, hands down my favorite song by them

Sleep Token are the best band I have ever come across and the recent album is definitely my AOTY! You should go down the rabbit hole now. They’re genre bending and use elements of everything from rock, metal, RnB, trap, hip hop, gospel, and more. Even if you don’t like one song don’t write them off as every song is different and as you can see from this one they switch up completely through the songs, also don’t be thrown off by some of them being 7-8 minutes long either as it goes by far too quickly. You should start at the beginning and work your way through as they tell a story and have call backs to a lot of them. The band are anonymous, I and others know who they are but won’t reveal out of respect to the band and fans but the singer goes by the moniker Vessel, drummer, who is a beast is II, bassist III and guitarist IV. From London UK. As far as their discography goes they brought out two EPs called One and Two, then 2 singles called Jaws and The Way That You Were, then the three albums Sundowning, The Place Will Become Your Tomb, then TMBTE (Take Me Back To Eden). They’ve done five covers that I’m aware of. One being Hey Ya by OutKast, I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston, Is It Really You? By Loathe and When The Party’s Over by Billie Eilish, Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. His Vocal range I believe is B ♭2 to F#5 and he has a wonderful chest voice, head voice and scream. I have never hyper fixated on a band like I have with these! Loved the react and Will subscribe and hopefully see many more. 🖤 The trilogy = Seduction. Destruction. Liberation.
