The Charlotte reveal is jaw dropping. Then it throws in Adam killing Martha. Then Martha reappearing. This was a great finale. The casting always gets praise, but the music is always on point too. Once you finish season 3, there’s lots you can dig in to with this show, but every aspect of it is done perfectly.
@@ItzWilson2 What's insane is even NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP IS THEMATICALLY RELEVANT. Every single song and essentially every lyric somehow ties into the show. Never gonna give you up is in fact ONE OF THE MOST FITTING LYRICALLY. ITS SO FUNNY
The cool thing is, when the 3 seasons are over, to go back and do the loop all over again, knowing everything, seeing all the clues, understanding the things that only make sense afterwards.
Of course you guys started your Patreon after I become unemployed. 😩 Will hopefully be able to subscribe next month if I'm lucky. A lot of people get worried when the idea of other worlds is revealed, but just trust the writers. Everything was mapped out for all 3 seasons. It wasn't something where they made it up as they went along. It's why this is one of the most rewatchable shows.
Thats so nice of you but please keep hold of your $, so sorry to hear that. It was certainly a lot to process at first but I do absolutely trust the writers and the show to deliver on it!
Omg. Adam saying "You can try to stop me or save her. You'll know which when the time comes." That is what was likely on Middle Jonas' mind this whole season! I never realized that we basically already got the pay off for that just out of order because we followed Jonas at two points!
@@ItzWilson2 honestly, there were several w.t.f. moments and confusion watching the last season. At one moment I decided not to question anything anymore just enjoy the craziness I see. But, as I said, in the end everything is explained and makes sense.
@@HaraldSeiwert The first few episodes of S3 will be a mind fuck until they get through a certain part and then a lot of the questions they have during the discussion after the reaction in this video will be explained! Its a fun ride and cant wait to see them go through it all!
Normies Reaction: "She had her and then she had her!" This only makes sense if youre a Dark fan. That Elizabeth and Charlotte being each other's mother was the most jaw dropping chicken and the egg twist I've ever seen on TV when I first saw this episode. 😱
Such a great action again! End of Season 2 is SO GOOD! Just wait for 8 more episodes of craziness but it comes together! I am sure someone on your discord/patreon will or has mentioned it but in season 3, there are two things to keep in mind to help keep everything straight and help prevent confusion. There is the same time tick tock sound cues for changing times within that same "world" but there is a new audio/visual sort of "blip" when they go back and forth between the two worlds. You will notice it in the first ep. If I say more, it could spoil some other bigger things. Cant wait for your S3 reactions!!! Keep up the Great Work!
As always, another great reaction, especially at the end. Just when you think the show couldn't twist you any further into cognitive pretzels, along comes the Mirror Paradox, another reality within reality AKA another Earth. And if that's not enough to mess up your minds, consider also that this sets up what is known as the Zeno Paradox, the idea that nothing is moving in any direction because it can't be observed in any single instant. Let that one sink for a minute. * yes, I'm evil at times * 😈 Again, watching this through they eyes of two obviously intelligent young men, a rare thing these days, is an absolute joy and you can take it I'm impressed; most reactors just meander through a show, but you two actually dissect it. You may not understand all of the Physics, but you both intuitively get it so to speak. Good Stuff. Last Point, Season 3 is going to mess with you hard and I'll be here for it. 😎
A whole alternate world and only 8 episodes left! This episode's ending casts Jonas saying to Martha "I saw you die once, I can't see it again" (or whatever his exact words were) when he kidnaps her to the bunker, in a new light. Of course he doesn't save her, but he tries. Anyway, remember, the rest of us had to wait a long time between seasons!
Okay and NOW imagine waiting long time for the next season! Unbearable! 💀 Hold onto your seats, you're gonna have to pay close attention to keep up next season! Loving your reactions!
I remember going through seasons one and two trying to figure out if it applyíes Novikov's self-consistency principle to resolve ontological paradoxes or Everett's amny worlds to resolve causal paradoxes... and then this episode features the mother of ontological paradoxes and also introduces a parallel world/dimension timeline which is the fictional application of many worlds. I was so bothered when I first saw this and questioned everything... until I realized that the show might actually exploit the little loohole Novikov himself once created by stating that if parallel worlds existed that were not underlying the self-consistency principle they would have to be non-traversable. Which if you think about it and take out the double negative just means that all traversable worlds needed to be underlying the principle. Man... I was not prepared for season three.
13:28 not sure if you include the guns of the police men and women at the power plant (and the machine guns of the security guards) but there is astriking similarity between the gun Stranger-Jonas has and the one Noah had; you probably noticed afterwards and that is the reason for the zoom in;
even when revisiting this show for the umpteenth time you always notice something different; the other day I thought about how neat was how earlier this season all the main character adults got in the loop; and then it hit me: no two of the people in the bunker at that time (Stranger-Jonas, Charlotte, Peter, Hannah, Katharina) go the same route in the season finale
The hiatus was a real pickle; I probably sais at the end of season one that I watched that season shortly after the release in late 2017; started on a Firday thinking it might be a mystery I might watch with my boyfriend so I wanted to just give it a glimpse; was immediately suck in and had to stop myself because I had plans for saturday and needed to go to bed; when I cmae home the next day I finished the season immediately; then I had to wait til summer 2019 (June 21st, to be precise, the day of Michael's suicide) but gladly I could take a day off... so as soon as it got released at like 9 in the morning MEST I binged it with only bathrrom and a wuick lunch break; and then I had to wait again until summer 2020; thankfully bo and Jantje had already teased the release date in the show: they started to call the seasons cycles; and indeed season 3 was released on June 27th, 2020, the day of the apocalypse; inbetween I watched the trailer despite the spoiler potential; I can only advise you to take a look at that afterwards as it was in itself really interesting and well done; maybe you find out what was remarkably odd about it; it was quite fun to theorize and figure out who the new actors on the show would be; especially figuring out how Barbara Nüsse and Nina Kronjäger would fit into it; so that helped us to not get insane during the hiatus... or maybe we did go insane...?
talking about the calendar there was actually a production error that bo altered digitally afterwards; earlier in this season we see Hannah(? or was it Stranger-Jonas?) cross out Sunday, June 21st, 2020; but... and now I am confused... it was either missing in this episode when Adam circles June 27th or it was already missing in 2x01 when Jonas looked at the calendar in 2053!? I think it was actually the latter; I think in this episde we only learned that Adam was the one doing the circle that we already saw in that episode; which sparked many disputes about whether o not this must have meant that something was already changed; but continuity was restored... for now...
you talk a lot aout the loop although right now we are at the beginning of a new cycle... which I pointed out are two different terms used by the English dub... but you had probably already watched this before I wrote it;
pretty sure when Adam was showing somethings they saw of the future first time Jonas met him, Adam has a drawing of Martha's time machine. someone correct me if I am wrong cuz there is a ball version of the time machine there
There's no last loop. A loop is never ending. btw No show to binge. Just watch the whole season again. So much is missed. Not a diss, been there done that.
The dialogue between Jonas and Claudia regarding changing small things, and thus the world, is pivotal given what happens in the series finale. That's all I'm saying... 😏
@@ItzWilson2 This isn't related to the finale, but Jonas is basically just talking about quantum mechanics vs classical mechanics. "Big stuff" can be measured and their future mathematically derived. If I push a ball down a hill and I know the mass of the ball, the slope of the hill, and the force of my push, I could calculate where the ball will end up, or in other words, the ball's future. "Little stuff" like subatomic particles don't follow classical mechanics. Heisenberg's uncertainty principle applies, I cannot measure the particle's position and its momentum simultaneously. The particle may be in a superposition, in two states simultaneously. Quantum mechanics is probabilistic, which is noteworthy if you're trying to change a _deterministic_ timeline.
