I loved Harry's disses the most, but Simon's rap was actually insane

Not surprised Simon is so good at it, seeing as he’s pretty much surrounded by rappers/song writers. Both his fiancé and his best friend are singer song writers

Simon wrote his lyrics for sure, check some of his tracks with randolph there fire i think he was taking the piss in the new Christmas song, if he took it srsly he wouldve killed that beat for sure

It started because KSI said he was leaving the Sidemen, made a song with Ricegum and threw a random shot at Ethan (Behzinga) for some reason, so Ethan responded with the first diss track in this video. Then out of NO WHERE, Harry off the top rope with the BANGER that would've ended anyone else's careers. JJ has talked about how that caught him off guard as nobody expected Harry of all people to make a diss track. JJ however came back with a couple bangers with "Little Boy" and "2 Birds One Stone" (which was also a diss at Joe Weller as well as Harry) which were great responses when JJ could've just easily taken a L, especially after Harry's track came out. Then at some point Deji got into it with Simon, Randolph, and Vik and they started making songs against each other. This entire saga was an insane time to be a fan of these dudes.

Harry's second disstrack went too personal and JJ couldn't even post the reaction to the diss because he got so angry and was just smashing things in the room. He had a beef with Joe weller at the time as well and when he won against Joe weller, Harry was the first one to jump in the ring to celebrate JJ's win

Idc how cringe this era looks now but back then it was such a good time to be a fan of them. Shit it was such a good time to be a fan of RU-vid period there were so many youtubers dropping so much content bc of beefs, diss tracks, boxing, the vlogs etc. It was that perfect sweet spot of the new era of youtube and the old era of youtube that blended so well its insane.

Miniminter is a jack of all trades he’s decent at pretty much everything so it was no surprise when he released a decent diss track. All the others were jokes and none of them had ever rapped and should be treated as such, the bars are meant to be funny no extra meaning behind them

Okay, so here's the whole Backstory and Timeline. JJ decided to go live with Ricegum and Faze Banks for a couple of months in the US while he was creating his new song "Creature". When he announced this, he also said he was leaving the Sidemen and he was doing it because Ethan "Behzinga" was too fat and really annoying. In the video there is also a clip of him in the studio rapping about how the sidemen suck as a group. After this came out, Ethan released a Diss Track at JJ. Following that, Harry also release a diss track about JJ. Harry's came out of nowhere, there was no beef but he just thought it would be funny. After this JJ, dropped his disstrack against Ethan called Earthquake and then dropped another one against Harry. After that both Ethan and Harry dropped another disstrack at JJ. JJ did not respond to Ethan's disstrack, but he did respond to Harry's disstrack. At the same time, JJ was trying to build hype for his first fight against Joe Weller, so he created a disstrack against both of them called "2 birds 1 stone". This first verse is about Joe (JJ calls him Popeye in the song) and the second verse is against Harry. This was the last disstrack in the KSI disstrack era. While all this is going on, Deji started throwing shots at Simon (Miniminter) and after seeing the popularity of disstracks, he decided to make one against all the sidemen. After he dropped that, both Miniminter and Vikkstar dropped their own disstracks against him. Deji dropped a second one against Simon. Also, one of the reasons JJ's disstracks were of such high quality was because he had to give his label a couple of songs under his contract, so he gave them all his disstracks, and because he isn't with them anymore, even HE uses them, he gets copyright striked. Deji also went back and forth with Randolph after this. That started when Randolph said Deji's channel was dead during a sidemen sunday video. After this Deji made a video taking shots at Randolph and because Randolph knows how to rap, he dropped a disstrack against Deji. Deji responded with one, then randolph resonded with another, and Deji responded for the last time, finishing the main era of UK disstracks (In my opinion). Some random things about diss track era for context. This was the big change over of Harry toward being a more mature youtuber (he was only 19/20 i believe here), before this he generally had a hyper active almost child like attitude in videos, but moving forwards 2017 was when he generally became more offensive with the jokes he made, diss track era was the peak showcase of how offensive he could be. Simon is the best of the non-music people to drop a diss track because of his writing more than anything. On youtube, we have seen in old QnAs he often made jokey rap battles between him and random objects (for example an egg, himself, and air). From this we know he can be very punny, and he is very adept at wordplay. He is also probably the most quick witted of the group, which would've helped writing in a short time span like diss track era was. I believe most of the tracks in this video were made with the same music producer (his name escapes me), and they have talked about how he helped them write bits of the songs or fix up the flow. Ethans first diss track is very poor compared to his second because his first was pretty much made by himself and callux in a day. His second, he spent a whole night with the producer recording and mixing, eventually getting every iconic grime beat to be his song For viewers at the time and I assume still now, the best three diss tracks are Harry's first, Simon's and KSI's Little Boy, the order varies on who you ask but they are liked for being funny, surprising and the best actual rap respectively

These diss tracks were no where near the same time as Deji dissing KSI with Crypt and Dax, that was about 2 years ago. The set of Sidemen diss tracks all happened in 2018 (about 4-5 years ago.)

This was all in 2017, which was a good year before the Randolph v Deji beef happened in 2018. Randolph made Manchild, Deji made RAN (the song with the Anne Frank references, though to be fair as a track it's in Deji's top 2) Randolph made his second diss I forget what it was called but he went in on Deji for chatting up young girls and showed sparring footage of Deji & JJ, which somehow morphed into Deji v JJ which culminated in the making of Unforgivable (the track with Dax & Crypt on it as you mentioned) which is when it all got real messy & it went on for years. The Sidemen & Randolph pretty much stayed out of it from that point. I agree though, it shows how much times have changed. As a track JJ's were obviously the best and most professional, however just like this or that would become 5 years later, Harry's two tracks are just absolute masterpieces.

Simon kinda used the same flow as the original. The track is called One Take. Loads of rappers hopped on it. Ghetts (original) Stormzy Chip Youngs Teflon Cadet loads more. But Simon did make it his own ting in fairness he just had a lot of inspiration 😂⛽️

The Deji, Randolph and KSI beef was after the Sidemen beef era. The Deji disstracks in this one that you watched was apart of the original Sidemen era which Deji dissed the sidemen (except for JJ).
