That's why some of them do it, so they can claim ministerial pensions etc. for the rest of their lives. All they have to do is climb the ladder and cling on until it's time to 'resign' and collect their rewards for failing upwards. There should be specific legal criteria to stop this gravy train. If you're an honorable, decent statesman and work for the people, then you get full pensions. If you crash the economy by trying to institute unfunded tax breaks for your millionaire friends, crippling the public for years to come, then you get nothing.

I'm sorry, but I don't see the point of these joke/novelty candidates, even if it is just for the comic relief. We need to take politics seriously. That's why we need more people like Count Binface to stand up to these jokers. We need to show them that they can't run the country into the ground just so they can have a laugh.
What most people dont realise is that the market crash that happened under truss was caused by investment bankers in london investing 75% of the worlds wealth that was invested through london investment banks, into a really risky stock option betting the price of the pound would rise. Anyone with even a remote understanding of investing will tell you to never invest more than ten percent on a risky stock, and to diversify the rest of your investments with safe options. The bankers didnt do that. A prime minister decided to change monetry policy which is fully within their power, because that prime minister wasnt in bed with the bankers like say our current leaders, she didnt know they had made that risky bet. She changed monetry policy in a way that caused the price of the pound to decrease ever so slightly, which caused every single person in a powerful position who had their money invested through the banks to want to oust her. People in media, finance, politics, everywhere. Anyone with a bit of money and power. You were all fooled.
