This happened to me at my old retail job years ago. I got fired for telling a customer that were closed after the 6th time saying it smh 🤦🏽♀️ apparently I got rude but the freaking mall was closing so idk what they expected me to do or say lol.
Some people suffer from chronic clue deficiencies in their blood stream. Some day we hope to find a cure, but until then slap them down hard because it's the only known treatment unfortunately.
At the mall I worked at, the store was fined if they weren't locked up and closed down at a certain time. I actually had to explain this a few times to customers who are rude enough to stay past closing, didn't get fired but I certainly educated them to their rudeness.
When I was cashiering at a grocery store, every so often we'd get someone wandering in at 5 minutes to midnight and when we'd tell them the store was closing, they'd insist, "No, I'm in here - you have to let me stay as long as I want." Ummm, no - how about we call the police and have them explain "trespassing" to you?
Try working in a call/chat center where a mfn cx doesn’t know “your center” is closing and u juuuusssst waaannna goo hooommeee when they call/chat in 1-2 minutes before you can put in unavailable status per protocol and now u gotta deal wit their shi* for 10 min past closing 😂😂 Freaking cable and internet “We’re closed” at 2 am but 24 hrs 😁 after “we” close you route to a different region cst,mst,or pst ofc) and these are the ones that want to have the longest issues to troubleshoot, most complaints (understand that nightly maintenances and outages occur the most midnight and on, but it’s always like the first time this person has experienced issues with man made technology and that it’s not going to work 101% as they expect of the 99% lierentee….I mean…guarantee advertised, the shi* is gonna go down from time to time, you need to REBOOT the shi* from time to time etc) 😂 Atleast y’all can lock a door in a mofo face (retail/restaurants once them registers broke down/ kitchen dissemble and cleaning started ain’t shi* nobody can do for’em but direct you to have us as a craving again tomorrow when we OPEN)
As a retail worker, I can confirm. Once had a lady stay 10 minutes after closing trying to clip coupons, and then wanted to fight me outside when I told her to gtfo 💀
