When the phase 2 started with this theme it was really a final fight kill or get killed that theme gave me goosebumps like i had to fight for my life and go past my limit i swear one of the best ost in genshin even though all mihoyo osts are beautiful thx to yu peng chen
Not to mention, if you use only patamon to take down his shield, this part starts exactly at the moment he kneels down and you are unleasing all your ults on him.
the music itself and then you read the lyrics.. he is one hell of a tragic character. the entire song is written in latin, while the ONLY line in the entire song that's written in japanese, "goya no suwe nazo nagasare" seems to come directly from scaramouche, meant towards raiden ei. the line translates to "why did you throw me away on the fifth night?". according to old customs, children were named on the 7th night after their birth, so that's basically scaramouche asking ei why did she threw him away before she even gave him a name. not to mention, right at the very end if you listen in to the "back chorus" let's call it, the lyrics are "nunquam genitus desiderem" ("i wish i had never been born at all"). enjoy living your lives with that info.
I was vibing when his theme was about his pain and suffering But yet again I think we’re all vibing even know his theme was about his pain and suffering 💀
honestly i get that the flute part is good but im incredibly sad that everyones focusing on it and not on the vocal part (0:31) because i literally cant live an hour without hearing it at least once im serious whys everyone skipping that 😭
Yesssss the vocal part with Yu Peng Chen singing it is the absolute best part of this whole thing. Especially the first time it appears in this theme ♡
I used to misheard this part and thought he is saying “go en” (fate in japanese) that made the whole sentence more touching “On the fifth night, fate swept him away” 😭
Omg the vocal part at 0:30 where he's like "maee ess" literally sends CHILLS it's my favorite part on loop. He did the one shot move on me during that part (bbg hu tao is in a better place) 💀❤️ They fed scara well. The song and boss, it's too good!😭😭👏
Also just a random fun fact: in one of his lines in his theme song he says “why did you abandon me on the 5th night…?” Which is depressing cause in Japanese tradition woman usually name their child on the 7th night which mean Scaramouche never actually got a name, and when we got the chance to name him I think that it’s just him accepting us as his new family :D 0:22
All clips shown here are just ACCURATE. In Alex's reaction and (guesses) on this track, he accurately pinpointed that there's this sound part where Scara has this hoping and missing his past self. The vegeta clip LOL
This video got some insane attention out of nowhere and i'm shocked xD Not gonna lie, I'm kinda motivated to do more! Would y'all like more videos for each battle theme?
This boss fight and story segment just screams nier inspiration from your little companion shooting a colossal enemy with little bullets to drain it to the GOD TIER music to the themes of memory
Most of the Genshin OSTs are god tier. This one is one of the weekly boss themes which are usually among the best of the best in the entire game! Hope you enjoy your time in Genshin ♡
Goya no suwe nazo nagasare? Vae eis simulacrum in solio inanis fixere sapientes (Vae eis cui simulacrum conlaudent mirent augeant) Necessitas semota corripiet gradum (Et necessitudinis corripiet gradum) NUNQUAM GENITUS DESIDEREM!!!
This isn't really beta but it's complete theme. They hired a separate Italian singer for the live version and Yu Peng Chen sang in the in-game version so both can be considered "finished" themes and honestly, I like this one much better.
