A little easter egg you guys didn't know about, in the song "Welcome to Heaven" there is a girl in the group shot the St. Peter flys into the middle of on the bottom right that has spider-like qualities. The girl is Molly, Angel Dust's twin sister, who is the only member of his family on earth to make it to heaven.

Basically the Seraphim are the highest ranking of the different classes of Angels and are all considered siblings of each other and direct children of God. This includes Lucifer, who was one of the Seraphim prior to his being cast out, which *technically* makes Sera and Emily Charlie's aunts. We don't know exactly as it hasn't been confirmed, but the standing theory is that Emily was created later as a replacement for Lucifer after his being cast out which is why Emily is younger and less experienced compared to Sera and her peers.

I really like Sera as a character. She's such good proof that the people of heaven and hell are not that different. There are people on both sides who want to do the best thing for those they care about but are failing because of their own fears and insecurities and stuff She, Lucifer, and Carmilla are such good parallels, who clearly dislike the exterminations but when given the chance to try to stop them, all chose not to out of concern for the safety of their daughters/daughter figures

So fun fact for anyone who doesn’t know, at 6:25 the girl at the bottom right who is sitting is Angel Dust’s sister, Molly. Just wanted to share that.

If you didn't notice, Emily's eye on her chest was closed most of the episode, but opened during the court song

DickMaster and Lute are the best, easily my favorite duo in the show. I love how whenever one of them is singing the other is in the background acting as their hype man. Lute absolutely has one of the best lines in this song.

To my understanding Vaggie's not fallen since she's not heavenborn, she was just left in Hell. She's still very much an angel.

25:17 about Alastor being on the leash, my theory is, he is on the leash of Lilith. I don't know, if you saw the Pilot, but there Charlie called her Mom, spoke on the voice mail, like dozens of times before, but she asks her Mom for help with the Hotel and just when she hung up, Alastor knocked at the door of the Hotel. I believe Lilith send Alastor to help Charlie.

This show is filled with so many good songs, But "You Didn't Know" is my favourite of the bunch. It feels so big, and important. You get the beautiful start with Emily, the repetition of Emily and Charlie both calling Sara's name, the righteous frustration and anger from Charlie, the sudden and awesome tonal shift going to Lute and Adam's verse, the reveal to all about the extermination, the incredible imagery of the flames in Sara's eyes to show just how unhinged she is, Emily calling out the hypocrisy as one of the most awesome moments in the show, the flip on Hell is Forever. It's one of the most important songs in the show as far as what happens in it, and it is a wondrous ride of beautiful sound, imagery, and emotion. It's a rollercoaster, and I love every second.

It's hard at this point to actually blame the Heaven Born for not accepting redemption, because it's never actually happened. They don't even know what gets someone into Heaven, souls just show up, so why would they believe it's possible to redeem souls in Hell? Did Angel Dust improve? Sure. But they've literally never seen anyone who went to Hell, then make it to Heaven, and have no idea how such a thing would even be possible. Now, how they handle new information if someone DOES get redeemed will determine their moral standing. And by that, i mean... lets see what happens in Season 2.

I just went through and binged all of this show. Found out about it recently and came back to watch yalls reactions. Amazing show and can't wait for season 2

I just realized and am giggling at how the whole thing with everyone watching to see if Angel would prove Charlie’s point was EXACTLY like one of those “What Would You Do” shows (purposely put a person in a very specific scenario where something goes wrong but they have a chance to either be a bystander or do the right thing, and spy on them to see what happens)

Some things. That last song was amazing, my favorite parts are Lute and Adam singing, and Emily with Charlie singing, Emily and Charlie have like the same personality. Second thing is that it’s crazy to think that Vaggie was cast out of heaven or left behind because she tried to spare a child’s soul.

Seraphim are the highest ranking angels, aside from archangels. They are said to have many eyes, and their true forms burn the mortals minds. That's why eyes pop up on Emily and Sera when they are stressed.

It is worth to point out two things in this episode. 1) When Sera lecture Adam (who BTW is excellent example of biblically accurate Satan), she actually teleport him to high-tech control room. And that is not the first time we see similar control setup, also used by Vox. Alongside fact that they actually mention Science as trait of heaven, it rise a legit suspicion that those angels and demons may actually be aliens. 2) In Saint Peter song se do see four legged spider girl. She is in fact Angel Dust sister.

Emily may be my favorite character due to how she’s like a Heaven equivalent of Charlie and is willing to risk her position in Heaven by speaking out against injustices

Charlie tried her hardest and did the best she could, but even if she did have enough proof that the Hotel works, I think Sera and the angelic court would have dismissed her no matter what she did. Because she believes what everyone else thought at first, that Hell is the end of the road as is Heaven. And that salvation for sinners that earned damnation is impossible and she pretty much told Emily during their talk at the end of the episode that the human souls in Hell don’t matter. A part of me feels like she enjoys the exterminations, the burning fire in her eyes during the song made that look suspicious. At least Emily believes in Charlie’s dream, she’s a good bean! Fun Fact; During the “Welcome to Heaven” song you’ll see a spider angel with four legs and poofy hair like three times. Fun fact that’s actually Angel’s twin Sister Molly. She one of two of Angel’s family to have gone to Heaven, the rest including Angel all went to Hell when they passed. This makes me want to see Angel redeemed and allowed to go there now more than ever before because he’d be reunited with his little sister and his mother! I’m also very proud of Angel for making great strides at the Hotel, even though he couldn’t have cared less about it at first, I think after the end of Masquerade he decided to take his stay at the hotel and his rehabilitation more seriously. He also finally stood up to Valentino which was extremely satisfying to see!

In the intro of Episode one, we’re told heaven started the exterminations because they feared hells power, not that they were actually uprising yet, so I think Adam was threatened by Lilith and Lucifer and wanted to get revenge on them, especially Lilith not submitting to him.

There were hints to Vaggie not being from hell sprinkled throughout the series. Episode 1 when she was describing the angels, she was referring to Adam and Lute. Episode 3 while on the roof Vaggie says to Charlie “how long are we going to stand by and watch ‘your’ people be killed” if she was from hell or a sinner she would have said ‘our’ people. Episode 5 when Lucifer was talking about how heaven is with their rules, Vaggie looked away as if she was ashamed of something.

Angel accidentally saving Val’s life 😂

Bit lat e to the party, but I love that this whole episode is basically a flip of Episode 1. Charlie specifies that "Today will be a happy day in hell", but "Every day in heaven is a happy day". Hell has people who are genuinely good people, but made bad decisions, Heaven has people who virtue signal and are really rotten on the inside. Charlie meets with heaven and they blow her off, then she meets with heaven again and gets someone on her side. Hell is forever, then Heaven must be a lie.

Wooooo I was not expecting this one out yet! So happy!!! I love how we got plot twists and reveals in this one. Emily is a sweetheart. This episode shows how morally grey heaven is. It almost feels humanized. Angel dust showing he is wort5hy of heaven was amazing. He has come so far since he first joined the hotel. I love his heart so much. Can't wait for the next 2 episodes!! Also Alastor returns next episode Kyle, you'll be happy. The fact he was missing this episode had the whole fandom trying to theorize where he was.

The problem I had with this episode is that we found out about Vaggie BEFORE Charlie instead of at the same time, it really lessened the impact. Also, Charlie saying she was told not to trust in angels by Vaggie but at the same time was telling her to ask Lucifer for help. Yeah, doesn't really help Vaggie's case.

I love how in the last song, you see how Emily and Sera see each other. Emily sees the reflection of hellfire in Sera’s eyes, looking as if there is evil in her, while Sera sees Emily surrounded by hellfire, which expresses Sera’s fear that Emily might end up like Lucifer and become fallen like he did.

My cat also died relatively recently in November. She passed away a week after she was diagnosed with severe kidney failure. Obviously, this was a huge shock, as she was only 7 years old. The very next day, my brother rescued a poor kitten thrown to the streets, and I’ve been taking care of him ever since. He reminds me so much of my old cat that my family says she sent him to look after me. RIP Zelda ❤️

"Vaggie seems fine." I don't think Vaggie has truly fallen. Not in the same way Lucifer is at least. Lucifer never lost his wings after falling and was cast out unanimously by the ones in charge as punishment for his actions. Vaggie showed mercy to a sinner and someone who likely has no authority over who falls practically crippled her and left her for dead. This was done without heaven's knowledge as far as we know.

Lucifer was cast out, banned, he can't go back... Vaggie chose Charlie over heaven.

Fallen seems like a more “permanent” thing. Vaggie is basically the Heaven equivalent of a sinner (winner) who got abandoned in Hell. Emily is Heaven Born, a true Angel like Lucifer is. He mentions he could t goto Heaven with Charlie, and while that may be a “he’s too depressed/worried his presence will make things worse,” I think it more means he literally can’t go there anymore.

I understand the redemption thing but it seems understandable to me that Charlie is shocked for a moment by Vaggie's lies and the fact that she killed so many of Charlie's people

This episode surprised me. I didn't realize Charlie didn't know Vaggie was a fallen angel. I had learned that years ago and thought it was just part of her background. Granted, some of the other characters may have brought up Charlie's daddy issues with her dating a fallen angel had they known about it.
