Actually down,below a spillway big baits don't work. Small baits gets big fish. The points to catch a big fish on small baits lol

I've heard that. Never tried it though.

The first time I caught a cat on a cat, I was targeting dinks. I noticed my rod tip jiggling and after a minute it stopped. I let it sit for another minute and thought it had stole my bait. When I reeled it in, I had a 2 lb flathead with a 8" channel lodged in its mouth and I had the little channel hooked. Since then, I've used channels for cutbait several times and have had good success with them, especially around nursery areas for the juvenile channel cats.

@@stephencorleymississippili4007 that would be cool. I've not had that happen yet but I've seen videos where flatheads are eating blues and channels. I'd say one channel cat would be quit a bit of bait too

Certain times of the year the small baits do better. Not often but when they eat small baits, u bout can't catch one on a big chunk. Thanks for sharing man!!
