Honestly it probably is snoke. Ever since Disney came out with the sequels, they’ve been trying to connect George’s story line to their sequel trilogy, to make them look like they connect. Basically, They’ve been trying to make their sequels look like they make sense.

I think it could be Palpatine’s son as mentioned in the sequels, Rey’s father. And Palpatine describes him as “disappointing ordinariness” “powerless failure” and “natural methods” hinting that it is rather a human version of Palpatine’s cloning work.

Clearly Everything they’re doing now is leading to the sequels. Having Filoni seeding it here and Farveau with Mando (S1 & S2) may be their saving grace as they’re doing a decent job of it. They’re fixing mistakes which could elevate the sequels. However, there is nothing they can do to fix what they did to Luke, Han, and Leia. For that no matter how much they improve on nuances and make the new stuff “better” they will always be terrible for their treatment of the canon characters.

Despite the throw away line "I created Snoke", we still don't really know who Snoke was--why Han, Leia and Luke all seemed to know him, how he came to be Supreme Leader of the First Order, why he hated Luke so much (assuming he was unaware he was Palpatine's puppet), or really anything to tie it all neatly together. It's ridiculous that it's been nearly ten years on and this basic backstory still hasn't been established.

I remember the Force Awakens Designs and concept art, Ventress was a form of Snoke, and The Supreme Commander Rank Snoke had was Ventress in the Confederacy

I doubt Palpatine would be smiling / smirking if he was witnessing something that looked like Snoke. Would make the story sooo much better if it were a perfect cyclone of a young Palpatine that was eventually killed by Luke and alll the empire cloning facilities were destroyed and Snoke & the RoS Palpatine body on Exegol was the best they could manage with the Empire's technology destroyed.

The actor you are referring to is Matt Smith. Great actor. He is in the house of the dragon now from game of thrones. He would make an excellent young Palpatine maybe in a prequel show with Darth Plagueis!

TBH I have checked out on all things Disney Star Wars except for the Bad Batch. The day a direct link between the BB and the sequel trilogy is made, I will check out on SW all together.

It would be interesting to see a young Palpatine clone and while I don't think we'll see the bad batch go up against such a being like that, I think we may get a reveal of the clone later in the show; if they bring Palpatine back as a young clone portrayed by Matt Smith perhaps in the new Mando movie alongside Thrawn, then that could be a very great movie as long as Dave oversees it.

Theory putting more thought into this than the creators of The Rise of Skywalker. I really wish this series would've been canon BEFORE they made the sequel trilogy because then they could've had a better time tying things together naturally, instead of what we are now getting where even if they tie things together really well, it is still leading to the mess that is the sequels

I agree with you theory . I’m working on my own video right now. About how I think Dave’s to the Empire movie could fit, not fix the sequels, but make a better sequels, something far more promising, and better for the future with a Luke centric story

I think it is him and I think what this shows is just how Dark, evil and how far the emperor would go to clone to ensure he always could rule in the galaxy.

Honestly I'm just watching the show for the clone troopers... I don't care about trying to do mental gymnastics on how it connects to the garbage filled, irreparable damage maker that is the sequels... Those movies are not canon to me... All of Disney Star Wars is not canon to me. It starts and ends with 1-6 with the exception of The Clone Wars before Disney's takeover. Don't feed into your excitement because it all leads to the sequels that most of us despise due to the amount of disrespect and mishandling that it displays.

There is little point in trying to explain or make sense of things connected to the sequels. The sequels will never make any sense.

Matt Smith is in the GOT show House of the Dragon, and that fits the context of a political role. He also plays the Duke of Edinburgh (Queen Elizabeth's Husband) in The Crown, and again, is great in a political setting. He is my favorite Doctor from Doctor Who and he brings such great energy and emotion to every role he plays. Matt Smith is an incredible actor and it's about time that Star Wars had such a great actor playing such a great character: a young Palpatine. I originally would have picked him to play Admiral Thrawn in live-action, because he looks like Thrawn and has a voice that could match Thrawn perfectly for a live-action adaptation, but I would also love to see him in another great villain role such as Palpatine:)

Young Palpatine For young Sheev Palpatine, it isn't easy growing up in East Texas. Being a once-in-a-generation mind capable of advanced mathematics and science isn't always helpful in a land where church and football are king.

I don't know why everyone is freaking out about it being Snoke. Because We don't even know yet if it even is Snoke. I personally don't think it is, There wasn't really anything to make us believe that it actually Is Snoke I mean, Do You really think that The Writers of This Show would connect that one line to the novelization of a Movie? Even if it is Snoke, Or something related to The Sequel Trilogy, I trust that Dave knows what He's Doing and that no matter what, It's going to be Really Cool and Very Interesting.

That theory needs to happen! Luke is just warming up in the big league at the time of Mando 2 so hopefully we will see him challenged a bit!

It doesn’t feel like it would be Snoke yet. It’s 54 years between now & Sequels, so there is a long history of this Project Necromancer, which I would say never fully completes to be exactly what Palps wanted. A clone of himself makes sense to be in there, which is why there’d be so much security & secrecy. But as we see in Kenobi, they’ve been collecting Jedi & in Mandolorian they are after Grogu’s blood for its high M count, so I feel like Snoke comes in later during this project.

Real Star Wars Theory here :D .... Hear me out. The reason why Palpatine is able force transfer at the end of RotJ is because this isn't the first time he has done it. RotJ Palpatine is a clone... and we'll see this happen the first time round this Bad Batch regardless of whether it's Omega's blood or they go back to Nala Se knowing she was involved in the original program and ask her to do it again.

I'm hoping for a young Palpatine...Disney needs to just keep out of Star Wars and let Lucasfilm and Dave Filoni do what they do best...be Stewards of what George Lucas has created. Disney needs to stop trying to connect everything in Star Wars past to the Sequel trilogy. It's just alienating true fans and leaves a bad taste in my mouth honestly .

They're the force-sensitive infants kidnapped by Cad Bane. In Clone Wars, Palpatine hired Cad Bane to steal a jedi holocron and use it to locate and kidnap force-sensitive children. At the end of the Clone Wars episode Palpatine says to the infants, paraphrasing here, that they will be used to peer into every corner of the galaxy; however, that can be ambiguous in that Palpatine's plan may have been to eventually have multiple clones of himself that either, he can simultaneously control the same way he did Snoke like a hive mind, or act independently on his behalf. The infants kidnapped in Clone Wars, and more not shown, were used to extract genetic sample for implantation of midichlorians into clones, with the goal of eventually creating force-sensitive clones of Palpatine. This was pretty much established in The Mandalorian as this is was why the Empire was expirementing on Grogu's blood. In this episode of Bad Batch, if you pay attention, when the blood samples are being tested: blood from a different source in being mixed into the samples. The foreign blood is from the force-sensitive infants being preserved in those chambers Palpatine inspected for Project Necromancer. Note: the tests done of the clones' and Omega's blood was for combatibility with implantation of midichlorians, or at least compatibility with splicing associated genes. Grogu's value to Project Necromancer is similar to a universal donor, of midichlorians or associated genes. Omega's value to Project Necromancer is genetic template for a universal recipient of midicholorians or associated genes. Also, Rey's age is close to Ben Solo's. In Epsiode 9, it is stated that Rey's father is "ordinary", which suggests that in regards to aging he is "unaltered" like Boba Fett. This would mean that Rey's father, as well as mother, has a similar age to Luke, Leia, and Han and would have been born around around the time of the end of Episode 3, give or take a few years. My theory: Omega is Rey's mother, which is why her importance to the story is repeatedly emphasized in dialogue (let's be honest, when the show started everyone expected it to be about Clone Force 99, and then Omega was basically shoved down our throats until the character developed a role other than being whiny every scene).

As much as I hate the film, Luke name drops “Darth Sidious” which I always found weird. Weird that it’s tying a prequel element to the sequels, but also weird in the sense that Luke had never known the Emperor as Darth Sidious, he only ever knew him as the Emperor. Does anyone know if there it’s mentioned in the comics? How Luke because familiar with the knowing the emperor as Sidious?

I am pretty certain they are close to create a perfect Palpatine clone containing a sufficient M count. I would think that the failed clone was the only specimen made by Imperial-Kaminian science to survive where the abominations of Exegol are based on that failed clone's genetic template, meaning they are figuring what are the puzzle pieces. Considering the project is still in effect or revived in Mandalorian Season 2, the setback is a major blow for Palpatine. It would be awesome if they brought back Matt Smith as young, full powered Palpatine considering Doctor Who is on Disney+

im just gonna say it... rise of skywalker and the whole story of palpatines return is WAAAAYYYY better than the legends version of the story in dark empire. cause my word was that a complete mess. Palpatine felt so unlike Palpatine in that story and it completley tarnishes the story in the movies. not saying the sequels dont. im just saying its still way better. in my opinion. ofcourse.

When I originally watched, I assumed it was a young palpatine. There is a line in the first episode talking about how the “specimens” must match the original M-count of the “original” or something like that. That makes me believe it’s a young palps. I hope to god it is. I love this show and it hasn’t disappointed IMO but if it’s snoke it’s gonna be a huge let down.
