We kick off this Italian vacation (and my first time to Europe) in the ancient city of Rome, or as the Italians call it Roma. After landing, we try and stay up to fight jet lag by immediately heading through Piazza Navona to the Pantheon. We visit the Trevi Fountain, the so called "Wedding Cake" and join see the sights again at night on a tour after dark. I even get to try out one of the 2,500 Roman natural spring drinking fountains placed throughout the city. We take a walk through Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum on our way to the Colosseum!
