it's fun because my city has this bubble tea shop but i've never really tried (nor cared actually) and then there are tons of videos from these guys talking nonstop about it so i've decided to give bubble tea a shot lol
Seeing Keith in a Buzzfeed video is so weird since he hasn't worked there for years, but it's even weirder to see him in a TwoSet video but not for his French horn
I once picked up bubble tea, as a child, but then I put it away. Now after watching this channel, I became so inspired, I went back to picking up my bubble tea again. As an adult beginner, I may not become a bubble tea legend, thanks to the many bubble tea prodigies... But thank you twoset. For encouraging me to get back to my bubble tea again :). Ok now I gotta put in my 40 hours, bye.
It's really hard to find tapioca Pearls or Tapioca starch here. But when I saw reaction of twoset , I just wanna try it sooo bad. So I decided to plant a Cassava , get the starch and cook the pearls. Wish me luck Twoset♥️I'll share the results with u guys Update - planted a Cassava today! It has been about 7 months after plantation and usually in my country it takes abt 9 - 12 months for a better harvest. So I'm waiting.
@@nkeuphonium there are 3 parts of cassava, the main (flesh) part, the skin, and the part between them. the toxic one is the part between skin and the flesh. So remove it and thoroughly clean the flesh with flowing water while rubbing it with something rough, or just fabric.
TwoSet: Lucas is how we feel when get our boba tea Lucas: "spits out boba" The only thing I like is the drink TwoSet: How could you take our trust in you and just destroy it like that? Me during TwoSet's Reaction: 😂😄😆🤣
TwoSet: *Classical music metaphor channel* Can’t wait for the coming masterpiece of Jordon He! Btw can we expect some new merch for bubble tea lovers? Gonna be adorable
There’s a mall in Guatemala City, Mira Flores, and in the mall there’s a little bubble tea shop. Lemme tell you something, it was the *best bubble tea I have ever had in my entire life. I was touched by an angel when I tried it.* It was real authentic Taiwanese Oolong brown sugar milk tea. And of course I got the lowest sweetness level. They also don’t put ice in it, so I get more quality. Never again, until I try Chicha San Chen, will I *ever* have bubble tea that compares. It. Was. *Divine.*
The first time I had boba was when I was 5 (now 19). To be fair, I didn’t like the taste and would prefer to drink milo instead haha. I also didn’t like the pearls because it was too chewy. However, my sister (6 years older than me) was a boba enthusiast and kept feeding me boba to the point where I really love it now. I have grown to also love eating the pearls.
I was 4ish when I began drinking it, and I'm surprised you can remember, because I've been drinking it all of my life and I can't remember on whether I liked it or not. I guess it just stuck.
omg same hahaha!! actually there is a flavour call taro fresh milk which they will put he mashed taro with fresh milk, It's taste better than what taro milk tea, also taro fresh milk colour looks natural
Sacrilegious 😆 But as a bbt lover, I definitely recommend you try taro on literally any other desserts (hint: shaved ice) Taste 4000% better and are considered more authentic than taro bubble tea!
@@bnedcts Idk where you’re from but some variants of shaved ice across the world are bingsu, halo-halo, kakigori, etc. In Taiwan we often eat it toppings like taro, red beans, pearls, grass jelly, with condensed milk and brown sugar syrup. It’s one of my favorite taro dessert that’s why I mentioned it haha
Eddy: check out our bubble tea tier list video Me: flashback to when they were suffering cuz they drank to much bubble tea Brett and Eddy: We have suffered and yet...we still love it
As a child you actually have more taste buds, that recognize bitter tasting things. So the time when these taste buds atrophy is correlated with the time people start liking coffee, green tea, olives...
Are my taste buds broke ive liked olives since i was a one or two?, but to this day tea or black coffees not enjoyable.. i do drink coffee with soy and sugar tho!
Bitter is the most varied taste experience between humans. Some can stans bitter quite well. A lot of little kid actually don't experience bitter until 5, that is why you should keep them away from cleaning supplies the added bitter taste isn't relayable working for small kids not to drink this colorful bottle.
@@emilwandel ahh prehaps when i was small i was missing out on most of the olives flavour but still liked what i was tasting and then as i got older the new flavours i could taste in them luckily where ones i liked! I defnitley agree, companys should put really difficult lids on i think, a small kid shouldnt get to the point of tasting the chemical, also on farms they have a locked chemical shed.. people could do a small scale version of that at home.
We need a bubble tea theme concerto performed by soloist Brett Yang, concertmaster Eddy Chen, and a full orchestra (probably the Twoset orchestra?) Let's go!!
@@hilarymajor3983 that would be cool, not sure how they could relate it to violin and classical music though haha Edit: but if they haven't seen it they need to watch it, reaction series or not
The fact that Keith said he liked Bubble Tea when in a recent Try Guys Without a Recipe he made a bubble tea and stated "I HATE bubble tea." SACRILEGIOUS!
Maybe Chicha San Chen or something. I don't know how big they are in Asia, but where I'm from they're not nearly big enough! There's only one location I know of and they close at 7:00pm!
@@rebekahlee7360 oooh yea i think i’ve heard of them! we have a lot of bubble tea places in the area i live, but kung fu tea is the biggest one here, so that would be really cool too 🤭
Funny they say Taro is too sweet compared to regular. In my mind standard milk tea is way more caramelly sweet and taro has more of a starchy savoury sweet.
At first, I hated the Tapioca balls, but then, i slowly (after 2 more drinks at later times), I absolutely loved them, so I can understand how they felt about them at first
I feel like everyone that watches this channel has learnt to love Boba, classical music (if not already) and learnt to roast violin shredders that dont know how to play properly.
@Zeren Grove are you just replying everywhere to be edgy? nobody is forcing you to like bubble tea nor watching this video. Why are you even here commenting?
Episode goes into "TwoSet Teatime" for now, but I'm very close to making a "TwoSet Bubble Tea" playlist for bubble tea only episodes. What do you think?
I personally made one on my channel two months ago. What prompted this decision was their video "10 Types of Bubble Tea drinkers" and the fact that I was able to find 13 other videos to put in the compilation ! That being said, we don't have the same criteria when it comes to our playlists and the videos we put in them, so... I can't wait to see what you include in yours if you make one. 😊 (I like @blue.butterfly's suggestion, by the way.)
I have discovered that I like bubble tea entirely from this channel. Luckily the area in the US where I live has a bunch of options (TeaTop, Tiger Sugar, Kung Fu, and a few smaller non-franchise ones) My belly says thank you, and my pancreas says "0% sweet".
I had never even heard of bubble tea before I started watching TwoSet. And I'm kind of ashamed to admit it, but I've never tried it. It's unfortunately not easy to find where I live...
@@MissTwoSetEncyclopedia same! I'd never heard of it and I've never had it. I have no idea if it's available near where I live, but now I really want to try it bc of TwoSet. I'm scared I wouldn't like it though, my taste buds are fairly picky 😅
For a moment there, I was like when did Keith go back to those glasses?! Then realizing ahh wait this is an old Buzzfeed video haha. The main thing I heard growing up was that people would tease me saying I was drinking fish eye balls.
the first time i had bbt i had no idea what it was and my japanese host sister, while i was sipping, told me the bubbles were actually turtle eggs and it made me choke on one. she was laughing her ass off and i had bbt up my nose. fun times 😂 😂 😂 INSTANTLY LOVED BBT THO I WANNA BE PERFECTLY CLEAR ❤️ ❤️
This vid is kinda relevant when comparing the reaction to musical taste regarding the pop vs classical thing. Not everyone is going to like something (esp thing you like), that's totally fine.
You guys should create your own bubble tea brand!!!! Twoset bubble tea let's go!! Edit: OK here is an idea, not that anyone care, but it would be cool for you guys to start a bubble tea place somewhere in Brisbane, play only classical music of your choice (most bubble tea place play pop for sure), and also YT videos of you guys. It will be a nice place for Twosetters to hang out and chill! All the drinks are named base on your YT videos, and probably even have fans to name the drinks!
Brett: don’t drink it too much…. Also Brett: just maybe like once a day is enough… 🧋 (Gasp: just trying out for fun and there’s actually a bbt emoji!!!)
Brett: Don't drink it too much. Me: - nodding - Yeah, like once or twice a month would be ok. Brett: Just like once a day. Me: - surprised pikachu face-
Dear Eddy & Brett, have you ever listened to Dream Theater (dance of eternity, octavarium) or empire os the clouds - Iron Maiden? Both have orchestras playing with the band.
I came back to this video to report that I had my first bubble tea today. I'm 40. I would have never heard of it if I didn't follow your channel. Let me just clarify that putting milk in the tea is a terrible idea, but as I spent quite a few years in the UK, I was used to it. (I found it disgusting for years though). The bubbles are weird but I watched enough TwoSet to be prepared. I was surprised that it's a cold drink though. The Brits would pour their tea into the sink as soon as it's not hot. To be honest, it was a pleasant surprise. If you must put milk in the tea, have it cold and put bubbles in it. I didn't get the tea vibes, it was a totally different drink. I'm glad I tried it, and will have it again. Now to the better use of tea: have you guys tried Tatratea?
Oh my g! The expectation from that kid!?! And I thought you were part of our boba family :’( (But I freaking laughed so hard when I saw the reaction to the kid we ‘thought’ liked boba)
TwoSet: professional classical musicians AND Bubble Tea aficionados--roasting rookie bubble tea drinkers; lol. Loved the horrific looks of disbelief from B&E when Lucas spit out his pearls; had me laughing. I agree with comment from Wenyi......WE NEED 2SET BUBBLE TEA MERCH!
Young kids usually have more taste buds than adults so it makes sense they are more sensitive to the bitterness of the tea. That's why they say when one gets older , one will start to appreciate the "bitter melon".
You guys tempted me buy tapioca to try and make boba for the first time! 🤣 There's only one boba tea shop in my city and it's closed due to the pandemic. I have been wanting to try it for a long time, and hearing Brett and Eddy talking costantly about boba didn't help the craving, so I just ordered 1kg of tapioca pearls lol Now I need a recipe! If someone could share their perfect Boba Tea recipe, I would really appreciate it as a first timer❤️ (I have black and jasmine tea at my disposal)
Oh no, sorry... I can't help since I tried once and then kinda despise of it hahaha It was very popular in my area like since year 2005? It was literally called as 'Taiwan pearl tea' back then in Malaysia, because the blackish tapioca balls drinking culture is literally originated from Taiwan. And until now, we even have a Malaysian gigantic franchise brand, TeaLive LMAO but I still never grew fond of it at all... but I love our Malaysian tea, Teh Tarik XD Anyway, I like chewy food like Attap Chee, sago, white fungus, peach gum, sea coconut, glutinuous rice balls etc. =)
"We drink boba tea to satisfy our ancient and innate urge to slurp up tadpoles from a puddle through a reed" "No we do not" "Yes we do" -Stolen meme, credits to the owner.
I thought I had finally tried bubble tea when I had it from a local shop who started offering it. But it seems as though I have not had The Experience 😭 - they only had bursting flavored bubbles, which were super sweet in an Italian soda-type base.... It was Very Sweet, and I hope some day to try the milk tea with tapioca boba. That sounds way more up my alley - especially since I loved black coffee as a kid 😄
