That "Snotty beamed me twice" joke was from a movie called Spaceballs. A giant movie parody about Star Wars and other sci-fi movies from the legend, Mel Brooks.
24:18 Yup Dante himself WAS Rufio way back when, he still sound like Prince Zuko back then and still does now and even appeared a few times in NostalgiaCritic wearing a Zuko cosplay. He’s such a nice guy
He actually has this weird genetic thing where his voice didn't change much at all during puberty. Mad props to the guy for making that a huge advantage instead of thinking it was a hindrance. Now he's a great voice actor for a teen/pre-teen kid with the benefit of being an adult so you don't have to deal with an actual teen
so basically in twilight theres these werewolves (though they arent really werewolves but thats a whole other thing) their deal is they "imprint" on someone and become completely devoted to them. Something to do with finding the perfect mate the creepy part is the "imprinting" doesnt care if the potential mate is an adult....or a baby born that same day they'll help raise the child....until they're old enough to make a child to raise....yes its very disturbing if you want to know more theres this youtuber called Dominic Noble who does book reviews (and reviews/compares said books to their adaptations, either movies or shows) and he explains it more
'Are they popular anymore' well would not say they've not been without their down points [had disbanded during the early 2000's], when they've come back to preform in the last two decades they still have a large fanbase-and not just ones from the 80's. So for a band started over 40 years ago, each member has done good for themselves both in it and outside.
9:08 Here in Australia, the pink bunny is more affiliated with Duracell to this day, while the Energizer mascot is an anthropomorphic battery that looks like a rejected Pixar character. I remember one time Doug brought up the "Energizer bunny", and I thought he just mixed the brands up.
@@theduckgoesmoo "Sponge Monkeys" my dude, a by-product of people who were high as balls in the 90's became a commercial creator for the "current" demographic; a relic of the past for us who has witnessed and experienced these damn things back in Middle School when flash games were very easy to log into the Library
There is nothing Shaq will not advertise. He os a living meme and knows it That quiznos commercial reminds me of the Cleveland tourism videos and those are amazing
Actually the the power source of Star Wars's Lightsabers has two explanations. 1. It recycles it's energy: To do this, the lightsaber when activated makes an energy field around the blade stopping it from just stretching forever. This field also makes the plasma of the blades go back to the Diatium Power Cells therefore recycling the energy to be used again. 2: Kyber Crystals In one of the many Star Wars sires and the spin off of the main series of movies it's shown that the power source of Light Sabers is made by the made up "Kyber Crystals" which can be found in the "Kyber Temples" such as the one in the "City of Jedha" seen in Star Wars Rogue One.
NC has reviewed Star Trek 5 along with the other odd-numbered movies. If you’re wondering why, it’s because, in the fandom, all the odd-numbered movies are considered the bad ones, & all of the even-numbered movies are good.
32:59 - I hate that I know this, but Jacob from Twilight saw Bella's newborn baby and immediately "imprinted" on her (or whatever the fuck they called it), basically meaning he felt he was destined to be with her once she was an adult. He literally looked at a baby and thought to himself, "I'm going to be with her one day."
That Darth Vader segment was from the 1997 Super Bowl. Star Wars was being released back into theaters May 25. The Star Wars: Special Editions. The VHS and laser discs came out August that year. We got our copy August 30th, 1997. All things considered, a pretty good year.
Mr. Perfect Cell, “They supposed to be pocket monsters. No, they’re monsters he wears on his belt. They’re belt monsters. Ball monsters. No no no they’re capsule monsters, and you duel with them. So…THEY'RE DAMNED DUEL MONSTERS!”
7:42 I'm... pretty sure that's how *most* English people (at least in the south of England) say it. It's especially noticeable with Daniel Radcliffe, for example. Oh, and it's especially pronounced here in Australia.
Before I start commenting, wanna let you know that the new episode of HFIL from TeamFourStar came out. Oh, speaking of Michael B. Jordan as Killmonger, I don't know if you know, but if you don't; The outfit he wears in Black Panther is inspired by Vegeta from DBZ, designed by Michael himself. I was waiting for the Almond Joy bit, and your wide-eyed reaction did not disappoint. 17:27 Oh hey! I always forget James makes a brief appearance. I mentioned Angry Video Game Nerd in my comment on the last commercial one, but that "I just sold my last copy" was another character by the same guy, Board James. Oh wow! I just randomly thought of that side-by-side Dante Basco line earlier today, and here we are. "My gun carries 20 bullets." There we go. You Win. Best reaction I've ever heard to anything ever. Wow! Good call on Robert Patrick in Scorpion. Going one step further, as something else you've HEARD him in, he plays Sokka's Swordmaster in Avatar. "Why would a kid even watch Terminator?" Iunno, I watched T2 when I was 4, so...it was hella fun. Also, because the "anatomically impaired as a Ken Doll" like just went by, I recommend watching Dogma, it's a fun movie. Speaking of movies, stupid idea I had, "theduckgoesmoovies" for a movie reaction channel. Ok, I'll stop now. I think you have two more until Wilkin's Coffee. That said, I'm looking forward to the next one moreso.
HFIL goes to the public on Wednesday so you get it a day early, perks of ruger 57 is the small bullet for a big gun! I didn’t know Robert Patrick was his name but I loved scorpion and didn’t know he was in avatar!!!
Ah, the Energizer bunny... I remember my great-grandmother had a rare Energizer Bunny plush from a contest or something. It's probably worth quite a bit. I don't remember which of my relatives got it after she passed, though.
I remember Dante Basco being on a rooster teeth podcast after he got added to the camp camp cast where he talked about how a fan told him about having a tattoo of him as Rufio on her back or leg or something...
32:07 I know you keep Pokémon in balls but Pokémon is short for *Pocket Monster* for a reason. Word of advice, *don’t* stuff your animals of mass destruction where the sun don’t shine.
15:47-17:27 If you want the full context behind Doug's thoughts on that movie, watch Nostalgia Critic's review of Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. Speaking as someone who's seen it several times before, I can tell you it's the most WTF movie in the Star Trek franchise. 22:37 Surprising that you've never seen it. I definitely remember seeing these ads. Maybe they came out before your time? 🤷♂️ 24:08 "I'm sorry...is that what happens?" Yeah, that's what was going on between Tinkerbell and Peter Pan. As you said, these commercial specials get darker and darker. You ain't seen nothin' yet! I can't wait to see your reaction to the next three commercial specials.
Nope Better Space Ball (6:51) Haunting at Hill House is a recommend show to react or watch (15:08) Who is Rufio? Someone who is hunting down the Avatar to restore his honor. If you watch/react to Terminator Just watch 1 and 2, 3 is optional, But stop and dont go further unless you want a migraine.
I'd actually say 3 is probably the worst Terminator film though. I'd rather watch Salvation or DF. "What about Geni-" NOPE DOESN'T EXIST THAT NEVER HAPPENED.
The haunting of hill house I remember when that was the trending show! I remember watching the first episode with my ex back in 2018 but I don’t remember it for reasons
Binging your NC videos at the moment and from small comments here and there I'm assuming your childhood was spent watching sports, game shows, and maybe being outside. If you had cable at home that is...
16:23 adding Star trek to the list of things you haven't watched. I'm guessing you spent most of your life in a deep hole in the ground or something /s
Dude not going to lie but you need to watch: Star Wars, Spaceballs, Hook, Terminator 1 and 2. A good series to watch from the Nostalgia Critics is his Star Trek movie reviews. You don't need to have watched Star Trek to enjoy these videos.
Hmm... People urged you to react to Obi-Wan's Death Battle and now this commercial special features Darth Vader in the same week. Maybe this is fate telling you to react to Star Wars.
Jesus christ im pretty mortified myself i get the twilight joke. Its that fucked up. The werewolf wants to fuck the newborn vampire baby that almost immediately ages up into adulthood because teenage romance is cringe. If you can't believe 50 Shades of Gray is just a twilight fanfiction with the names changed around. Just read the above paragraph again. It'll click sooner or later.
The fact you haven't watched Star Wars (dunno if that changed): FUCKING HERESY (though Original Trilogy and Prequels are best, Ignore Sequel Trilogy if you value your time) The fact you haven't watched Star Trek: FUCKING HERETIC! (Classic and The Next Generation are best to start, form your own judgements from thereon) The fact you never saw Hook: What...what was your childhood like? The fact you never saw Terminator films: You're better off with the first two (open mind on the third and the recent Terminator video game for full canon in my opinion) you are in for a treat then.
