1996 was a long time ago! This was pre 911, the homeless vagrancy on our streets, Covid-19 pandemic and the invasion at our southern border. I took my 9 year old daughter to see "That Thing You Do" in a Burbank theater which no longer exists. When I have an especially bad day seeing the mess that Los Angeles now is, I pull out my DVD of "That Thing You Do" and I'm back to my youth! The 1960s!
I love this film so much probably my favourite film ever, growing up as a kid it was my ultimate dream to be in a rock/pop band and make it big and go to America and make it even bigger like the Beatles, will always cherish this 🎸🇬🇧🎶

Fantastic movie, great cast and a great soundtrack from the early 60's
wow such a cool video here of how many people associated wit Tom Hanks from previous films came out 2 see how he would do as a director. I know why Bill Paxton came probably 2 say thanks 2 Tom for giving him his Twister role. Tom was slated 2 play Bill's character but since Tom felt like Paxton was a better fit because he grew up in Texas and clearly understood Tornado Alley he handed it off 2 him and of course we know da rest.
