The funny thing about this is that the marketing site, while the movie was in early production (if not pre-production) had an FAQ, in which one of the questions was "Who will play [main villain of the franchise]?" and their response was, essentially: "He's not in the first movie. We plan to make more and he'll be in those". I was a young (and still partially religious) kid back then, but even then I was like "They're not even putting the main villain in the first movie? They're gonna have to stretch out the first part of the story super thin". If a young teenager could figure out not including the main villain was a terrible idea, I have no idea how their writing team didn't.

Why is it propaganda? It is based on a religious book based on a part of the Bible. That's like calling Mean Girls a Bullying propaganda video. That is your mocking religion.

The rapture wasn't even something people believed until 1830 when it was promoted by John Darby. That means it wasn't even a thing for all the years preceding that. The word rapture is never used.

It's based on **one** specific interpretation of the book of Revelation. There are actually many different ways people read Revelation. It's propaganda because it pushes it's own narrow belief that is not held by quite many others.
