That time Poland's Tusk shut state channels down

On December 20, some of Polish state-owmed television broadcaster TVP's channels suddenly went dark, as a part of Tusk's "depoliticization" of media. Only two of them eventually return to the air, but one is still stuck in limbo. This is its story.
This also serves as the channel's final video published in the year 2023.

Funny thing, earlier PiS wanted to close TVN, so it's funny (Yes, it happened in 2020, because that's when TVP Info started acting crazy)

Really good summary of what is going on for the foreigners. What more you have a surprisingly good pronunciation, kudos to you for that! As for why it was shut down and not reformed is because the PIS agenda was too deeply ingrained. They didn't really shut it down but didn't sign on the budget for the new year necessitating a restructuring with firing of the old management. Now many former employees from the time before the bias are returning. Hopefully the state media will finally be unbiased. It was really bad for Poland by brainwashing the older generations of gullible seniors. Which meant that the youth was emigrating and thus further increasing the proportional size of voting seniors. It is one of recent steps in a good direction for Poland. Once again, great summary and I wish you a happy new year! Szczęśliwego nowego roku!

They remove TVP they still control the media, they reform it they still can do bias but with support of the veterans of media industry. Seriously I don't understand how you can make state media unbiased if even corporate media cannot be unbiased. Even the owner of Polsat named Solorz literally admitted they were leaning towards PiS only because they were in power with management reforms going on already there.

@@thirdbrother4018 PiS wanted to control the Internet and wanted money from Poles abroad (Taxes or something), PO is not perfect, I voted for the left, which does not change the fact that PiS also wanted to remove TVN PiS made LGBT+ people at risk (Rhetoric of fascism, dehumanizing people) Fascism in Poland became something "Normal", and being a leftist was abnormal, because how can you support LGBT+ people and not be a racist? You're unglued!

that would at least send a message that they tried to reform it, instead they just shut it down illegally which is way worse if you ask me and many others. people voted for them with a hope that something would change, but for now it seems like they're doing the same exact things last government did
