You keep on doing what you do don't let anyone steal your joy. I can't tell you how much i love and miss him, there is not a day that goes by that i don't think of him and all the memories we made in 10 short years, his death knocked the wind out of me i have never been the same since, Elvis was the big brother i never had. He is also my guardian angel. Graceland is my go to place when it get's to hard to live w/o my friend i go there and walk around and remember Elvis and all the beautiful times we had together. He was the only person in my life that understood me and cared about my feelings and opinions. What it comes down to is we both needed a true friend and we were that for each other. Awesome reaction. I had to set some fool straight last night people trying to dirty Elvis name not on my watch what sickens me the most is the people that are talking smack know nothing of what they are speaking of, i have spent my entire adult life speaking out to people that try and judge a beautiful soul that is not here to defend himself and don't get me started on my girl Priscilla people hate her because they are straight up jealous she made Graceland prosperous no one else and people putting her down no way not while i still have breath in my lungs no one i mean no one will disrespect them period. God bless you and your family from the one and only Memphis Tn. 😭Elvis told me all the time you should always know where you stand with people now i know what he meant. #forevermyking #forevermysexyjello
I was born and raised in Dixieland, in Arkansas. Right across the Memphis, TN. Line.. I picked cotton in the fields with my family and many other families. Black and white. There were no differences made. We sat under the only shade tree in the field. We shared lunches with everyone, black, white it didn't matter! The food was amazing! We sang hymns together and We were ALL PAID THE SAME Per pound of the cotton you picked! We were ALL trying to make a living in the USA! I'm Caucasian and we ALL had respect for each other! It wasn't until the government intruded...then there became an issue! I hate the way things are now! Some of my very best friends in my life have been black! Thank you for taking your time and sharing with us. 🇺🇸
Great reaction. Don't let the haters get you down. Us real Elvis fans appreciate your reactions. Keep doing these reactions and we will always be here for you. Take care and stay safe.
Great reactions from you he just can take your soul so glade for you found him he was so humble loving caring man what a voice there will never be another Elvis
I don't think those people who write that you do 'fake reactions ' are Elvis fans. You find them in every comment from new Elvis reactors. Some Elvis fans call them 'Trolls'. I enjoyed your reaction very much, thank you! 💚🌞
I remember watching this on t.v. My Mom loved Elvis so much. Well I do too! Still to this day. My heart has such joy knowing the younger generation like you are enjoying his music not believing he was a joke. Thank you!!
The man had so many lights on him during this concert... it was, as far as I know, the first world wide concert on TV... and he was not only passionate about the song... he was sweating his butt off.. lol... And who else from then to now could get away with that jump suit and the Bling... Elvis was the King of Bling too... and I'm sorry... that Flute.. gets me every time.
This 1973 Aloha Hawaii Concert was the first to be Beamed Around the World 🌎 Live Via Satellite 🛰 and It was Viewed by 1.5 BILLION People. Request: Elvis Presley "And I Love You So" With Slide Show Black Leather (4:01 min)
I remember in 1973...watching this! It was amazing! He only left the country when he was n the military (thanks to the fact Col. Tom Parker was not a US citizen and if he left couldn't return!) It went WORLD wide! He is known...all around the world!
I remember watching this entire concert in 1973... So happy to have been part of this 'Record Breaking Concert' that STILL, 50 years later has not been broken!!!
A real performance for the ages, especially this trilogy of three different songs in one and this is probably one of if not THE best performance of it ever done.
Muy buena y detallista tu reacción, me agrada que descubras a este gran e incomparable artista.- Espero mucho más de tus reacciones.- Saludos desde Bs. As. Argentina.-
Ignore the hater. Love your Elvis reactions and to be honest I love that young people like you are discovering him and enjoying his talent. Long live the 👑
Never get tired of seeing this performance - Elvis is awesome. He was conscious that he was representing America to the world via satellite hence the eagle jumpsuit and the total commitment and passion. 50 years later and we're still watching and talking about it - incredible ❤
Really enjoyed your reaction young man. Your enjoyment shows. Elvis is untouchable when it comes to entertainment. I truly hope you will continue to explore more of his recorded live shows. He will never disappoint you 👏👏🤗💞.
THE FIRST VIA SATELITE WENT OUT TO OVER THIRTY COUNTRIES 1.5 BILLION WATCHED AND MANY GATHERED IN HOMES ALSO THAT COULDN'T AFFORD EVEN A T. V. LOVE YOUR REATION AND THE RESPECT YOU YOU SHOW.❤ THANK YOU❤
I am 70 and was there in front of the family tv watching and listening to this masterpiece. I also went out and purchasedq the double album of the concert, and still have it in my record collection.
You just witnessed the GREATEST ENTERTAINER THIS WORLD WILL EVER SEE! No auto tune no pitch correction just pure PERFECTION. Elvis had it all best looking man waking the earth, powerful voice loaded with passion emotion magic and charisma like no other. When Elvis sang he touched your very soul you could feel him sing not just hear him. His smile and little smirks' are infectious they just make you feel good. Elvis was like a God among men giving his all to what was important to him HIS FANS. No one will ever come close to Elvis, a gift to us all from God himself. Elvis didn't die in 1977 he just went home. Long live the KING. Elvis is immortal.
I have read a lot of comments on Elvis, this is right up there David, thank you for that, really cool. It certainly does feel like he went home and my word has this guy made an impact, so difficult to explain it but you have touched on it really well!
I loved your reaction! Don't worry about the haters , unfortunately they think they are important! How you feel and love the music is important! Elvis was a beautiful person who did so much for others, we need more like him!
Your reactions are amazing! Please don't let the toxic people with their negative attitude get to you. You're a true Elvis fan and I love it! I am a big Elvis fan as well. I enjoy your reactions.
Elvis will transport you to a place of pure peace with his voice and music. This concert was beamed around the world to over a billion people and cemented the fact that Elvis Is The King. Great honest reaction thanks. Check out Elvis 1960 on the Frank Sinatra show singing "Stuck on You"
Great reaction, Duane! The American Trilogy is three songs, hence we get trilogy, about the American North ("The Battle Hymn of the Republic") and South (“Dixie"), and a African spiritual (“All My Trials”). This song vividly captures the complex landscape of American history and culture as it was a racial reconciliation song, sort of speak and Elvis hit it out of the park!❤
Youve barely even scratched the surface, this was from his famous and first worldwide satellite broadcast, there are different eras of elvis as well - the fifties, the 68 comeback special, the ten years he performed in Vegas etc etc.
LOVE your reactions!! So glad to see the younger generations being in introduced to a truly extraordinary super talented magnificent talent as Elvis .... no one like him ...then....now...or ever will be. Thank you Duane. Enjoy the wonderful videos & music this humble man left for the world. ~~ Sharon
Young man I'm watching you from Canada.,just love you my young brother.Negativity will always be you because most on here like you, wishing you well and stay safe.
Boo~ RU-vid just gave me this as a suggestion, and I didn't get a notification when you uploaded (or re~uploaded) three days ago(?), as it appears I was not subscribed to this channel😮 Anyway, here I am!😊 Keep up with the EP reactions because I'll watch. This btw still gives me chills/goosebumps every single time I listen. It's like the first time❤🎉 Keep doing you Boo 👍 😉
"Entranced". Great way to put it. Imagine being there, then, in the audience if this is how experiencing him on video is!! I personally cannot imagine. Decades later and he still amazes us. Those of us who are the "fans" are glad you appreciate him!
I remember sitting on the floor and watching this live on tv when I was 12. It was amazing. BTW he was sweating. Those lights are extremely hot especially when you're wearing a 70lb outfit...in Hawaii. However this was no comparison to seeing him live in concert twice the year before this concert that was the 1st one transmitted by satellite around the world. My favorite song is *So Close Yet So Far* from his movie Harum Scarum.
Only halfway through it but I've been subscribed to you for awhile and I really do enjoy your Elvis reactions. And I think I've seen a couple others as well. So there will always be those trolls that yell fake. And there are some fake reactors out there but I think it's pretty easy to identify quickly who is real and who is not and I think a lot of people love this stuff, whether it's Elvis or anybody else from any generation, just to see someone experienced something that they think is really good that that person has just never deeply encountered before. And I think it's wonderful. Don't worry about being fake at all. You seemed sincere enough to me and I enjoy your reactions.
I've never even seen this until maybe 5 years ago like a lot of this incredible Elvis footage. He was slightly before my time when he was in the 50s but I remember hearing his stuff on the radio a lot when I was a kid in the 60s and even the early 70s before he died. And it was a huge deal when he died. It affected so many people. And then as I got more into my twenties I was playing in bands but instead of post-punk I started playing in this rockabilly band and related bands that really checked out some of the older stuff, that came before us. And so along with a lot of really to rockabilly stuff, Elvis really added a bunch to that when he was young. Basically everything in that category would be leading up to when he went into the army in 1958, which would have been in his early 20s. Man they played so many festivals in dive bar circuits getting popular to start with when he was just 19 + 20 + 21. Amazing. And audio recordings of those are great. Most of them we don't have any video of. And if it is it's just a simple reprise of it much later at a show but it's not the original thing that affected everybody including me. Some of that stuff is worth checking out for sure. Hard-headed Woman. A Big Hunk of Love, not to be confused with his other hit years later A Burning Hunk of Love. Also, Little Sister, the original audio hit. That is one that I played in a band I was in for a long time and regardless of the demographics of the audience, it always made people just dance their asses off. The country new traditionalist Dwight Yoakam also did a fantastic cover of it which was kind of a tribute to Elvis.
Great to see your immersion into the music and appreciation of Elvis. He always sings with his heart and soul so you’ll have a wonderful time reacting to his phenomenal career. His gospel songs are inspiring and really calming. All us Elvis fans love seeing new people get the Elvis bug!!! 👌🕺💕
@Duane- I am a long time Elvis fan and I thank you for doing this one. Love American Trilogy. Go ahead and react to Elvis doing Bridge Over Troubled Water Live in 1972. You will love it.
I did it on my main channel “DuaneTV” I just haven’t reuploaded it here, I’ll be doing all new reactions on this channel now and definitely much more Elvis coming!
I just got a huge smile on my face when you were talking about how he does these dramatic movements but it really does trigger the band even though they already know generally how it's going to go. That's what makes them so tight and it was live with no Advance Studio real-time stuff. Like they have now. Everybody always says that I know and I like the new stuff too. But I grew up playing in bands and this just captures that feeling from me. It's just live. It's real. But I am so happy that you mentioned the ding. When he does that follow up motion and throws his arm down and that triangle or whatever percussion instrument it was comes in with that thing, you are the only the second reactor that I've noticed call that out specifically. The other one is Britt Reacts. And she did the same thing.
Hey duane... your'e a good guy!!! Let no other people tell you you're not?!!! ....love is love!!! And that's all that should ever matter!! God bless kid🙏👍⚘️❤️
Elvis felt a closeness to the folk he grew up around and who actually helped feed and raise him. His parents picked cotton alongside the people from the projects where he moved to after his dads prison sentence when they lost their 2 room, self built wooden shack (no electricity or running water). He grew up dirt poor and never forgot it. He knew when he made it big that he had an advantage as a successful white man to pull black artists up the ladder eather than push them off . Pls don't ever stop spreading the good word on Elvis just because Chuck D and Quincy Jones didn't like him. Everyone that KNEW Elvis speaks of how good natured and generous he was. He had a talent that knew no bounds, looks and charisma like no other. Every movement he made was a signal in conducting the band. He only chose the best artists. Truly phenomenal artist. He is missed. Long live the King ❤️
Good for you getting relief from your stressful, impressive work and Elvis clearly gives us all a lift. You are totally sincere unless you are the best actor ever. Thanks for this reaction, I could watch and listen to this one every day.💖💖
