I have always recognized consciousness as a form of self awareness or self evaluation. Being naturally introverted I struggled to wonder why some people had a high appetite for socializing whereas I was one not to indulge but observe. I had bits of clairvoyance as a yungin but I experienced a paradigm shift a few years ago which showed me "its levels to this $h!t". I can tell how evolved and what level of consciousness a person is at by vibing with them. Alot of the so called "woke" folks got a little bit of information but don't know the iceberg is MUCH deeper.
The ability to internalize knowledge is the degree to which one can be transformed by it. Ideas will change you, as you now are. There are layers and levels to all of this.

I like the concept the Nation of Islam and 5% Nation of Gods and Earths say which is Knowledge of Self instead of Woke or Conscious. There is Buddha, The Buddha Teachings, A Buddhist formed community to practice the teachings, The Buddhist community that practices among the larger non Buddhist community.

This is a deep and make you think video Rom! I can definitely relate to this video and the things you're saying from some of my experiences. That's why it's so important for you to remain a student and be willing to always listen and learn! When you do that, you'll always be advanced and stay ahead of the game in life itself. You have so many people who'll get a lot of credentials and high levels of education and think they're on point and that might not be the case because they don't know how to apply it so I know exactly what you're saying! Just like a person who went to a top ivy league school and made straight A's, at the end of the day, what's going to matter is how much have you really learned and what you can apply in your area of knowledge in the work field, that's how you'll what you're really made of how much you've really learned! I had a Nigerian guy say that to me one time before who was highly educated. Another example, just because a person get a MBA business degree from school, don't necessarily mean that they're going come out knowing exactly how to run a business! Let the truth be told, activity knowledge is where it really stick and sink in over book knowledge anyday because you went out in the realm and experimented! There's also a lot of people who have all of the smarts and knowledge in the world but don't have common sense which don't always come from education and knowledge! It comes from knowing how to think and using your brain. I'll give you another example, P Diddy had a show some years back called I Want To Work For Diddy. He would interview people to who's qualified for a position to work for him! He was sending people out left and right because they couldn't answer certain questions and a lot of these people were educated with degrees from top schools like Harvard , Yale, Columbia and other prestigious schools! These people thought that P Diddy was going to be impressed by them bragging about their degrees and the schools they went to, that shit wasn't impressing him at all even though he went to Howard! The ones who didn't have degrees impressed him a lot more and was able to effectively answer certain questions over the ones who did! So always have an open mind and be willing to learn and that's how you increase your level of understanding as you get older, wiser and as you continue to go through life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yea. The term "Woke" is a self related concept. Society will always change and be what it is at the times. I believe woke is, like you said, identifying all that is subconscious, not awake or realized. A lot of brothers and sisters who were raised in single mother households heard horror stories about their father. Only to eventually realize that ok, Dad is not perfect yet but I'm grown now, ain't worried about what he did or didnt do. Working out the good and bad that was inherited (because that energy is there) and then creating yourself. Ah...but here's the kicker... Mom aint all perfect either! "What you say about my momma?" "Yea, what I said about yo mama..." We inherit good and bad traits from them too! You start to connect the dots, you look into the dynamics of your aunts, uncles, cousins, grands, great grands etc. At the end of the day, our lives are our own and we are given our own paths, it's very important to know your family history. The social dynamics of it. All that other history is important information yes, but if it is not knowledge of what is "relative" to your personal experience, you're only getting a portion of what you need to know. This is what I perceive.

I would say knowledge first which is the info. You know the information. Then you have to understand the knowledge. Then you have wisdom in applying the knowledge.
Getting carried away trying to attach yourself to an idea that you REALLY like, ISN'T being woke. This information is good because it's new and true, or old and revealed but if I can't use it then I'm just aware but not "woke". And when it comes to practicing new woke ideas then I don't want to be woke. Some of these ideas don't work for me.
Being "woke" is a lot like zen. You have to accept that you have more questions to ask, than you already have the answers to. You can't be fully "woke" unless you step on religious toes and ask hard questions. I hope you do get to that Rom. Great video!

Now on to this masterpiece, I have said for a while to be conscious is merely to be aware. As a follower of the conscious community via RU-vid I quickly learned that many in the so called conscious community were all talk particularly the younger generation. But with all of the knowledge and information on kundalini, chakras, kush, and whoever built the pyramids many of the brothers in those circles acquired that knowledge simply for the sake of arguing. Meanwhile many of their communities are being gentrified and taken over by foreigners. I said all that to say or rather ask, what good is knowing and not applying.
Basically you know who you are and master it. I know myself very well but for 100% i don't know about that. Listen i'm very aware of my environment and that makes me very dangerous in many ways. That's what i know.

So, I believe you are doing us in the conscious community a favor. Consciousness/awareness does not mean that one has the capability of acting upon the knowledge received. Most information was given to help you begin to build a repository of ideas. Which is very important to have, because we can't always count on our memories for everything this day in age. The mind has a tendency to slip when dealing with all of these new distractions. Dr. Ben, Carter g Woodson, Dr. John Henrik Clarke all knew everything they spoke about you wouldn't be able to change in your lifetime but that you should work to be the change you seek. Through diligence and perseverance you can build the lifestyle that will keep you free of the tyranny of destructive people... I think that aligns with your artwork/library here. Also, allot of people say they are woke and be closed minded and unable to accept the opinion of others. That is an unconscious feat.... Lol... But the conscious community was established to educate the African diaspora on African history. This needs to be emphasized as this was the sole purpose of the conscious community and still is. But just like we have the original black panthers and the new black panther party the paradigm of the conscious community has been shifted. History is a knowledge of self. But what comes with knowledge is the ability to function/navigate more thoroughly in nature/life. So many people have brought so many non African things to the table claiming that it is African (history of self) that the epistemology of our ancestors has to be weeded out. Say for instance if someone reviews your previous videos on relationships, that person now has more knowledge to deal with relationships. If they start doing what your doing and don't consult you about the videos they put out then it is easy for one to push their perspective and take claim of your work/ideas. But no matter how much knowledge that person has doesn't mean they understand themselves. And if you don't know yourself then someone will do it for you I kid you not. My brother Wills please be careful when talking about the conscious community as it started off proper and the core of it is still a functioning institution. Everybody who says they are conscious are not in the conscious community as that circle is very small. Plus, these people are doctors, lawyers, neuroscientist, chemist of the world. If you name it they got it.

Totally agree. There are folks who claim to be woke but still ain't get out of bed. When some people talk that conscious talk I always check to see how being so has manifested in their life. Some of them are very dysfunctional once you get to know them especially some of the Yoruba chicks. All that knowledge and no discipline. They read all those books and try to pawn what they learned as intelligence. I had a roommate that would do his 'deep Yoga' meditation every morning then 5 minutes later get in his car and start going ham on folks with all the road rage in the world inside him.
