This is making incredible sense. I’ve taken up a new role on our team from playing acoustic and leading vocals to now playing hybrid between rhythm and lead while still leading vocals and it’s been incredibly stressful from a focus standpoint. Thank you!

Also touching on how God doesn’t give is a spirit of fear and translating that to fear of playing a wrong note greatly improved my perspective and mental. Thanks again!

The C triade that you use at the 5th fret using the A, D & G string has the notes as D low note, G mid note and highest note C. I actually learned all my notes on the fretboard so that I do not have to play what is written on tablatures which is written mostly by guitar guys with huge wide hands. I mainly play my triads on the G, B & high E strings but sometimes I add the D string. I also play ukulele. I find that many triade shapes come from ukulele chords. If you look at late 60's Beatle tunes, you will see that George Harrison used lots of ukulele shapes in his lead guitar playing. Harrison played ukulele before playing lead guitar. Also, on the guitar if you capo at the 5th fret and only use the D, G, B & high E strings, you can play ukulele chords. I have 3 electric guitars and an electric Flight Centurion Tenor LP style ukulele strung linear style. If you play ukulele see me at my Facebook group Christian Ukulele Circle. I'm also part of the FB group Christian Guitar Girls Community.

A few good ways to get a grip on the triads is... 1) Know how to relate these smaller shapes to larger open/CAGED shapes as reference 2) Practice chordal scale in root, 1st inversion, and in second inversion for each stringset you wish to focus on like 2nd stringset (b,g,d strings). 3) Know the interval/degrees of each note of a triad, which will help you to know what notes you can use for embellishment within scale. If you're on the 3rd, you know the 4th is just fret/semi tone up the neck. If on the root note, the M2 is just 2 frets up neck and as is the 6th when on the 5th note. 4) Play all the inversion for each chord in a progression 5) Play closest triads in given progression within a position I recommend CAGED Clarity as an excellent resource with all the diagrams of triads with intervals, arpeggios, pentatonic and diatonic scales for each of the major and minor CAGED shapes to review when needed. I probably would be a little lost if I came across this video before learning triads at a deeper level. It's one thing in memorizing shapes and Knowing shapes and understanding why the shapes are they are so you know immediately the 'E' shape on the 2nd string set is a root triad (1,3,5 notes from low to high).

Very nice video ! It is one of the best I've ever seen! thank you. Should I put middle pickup or bridge ? or both ? when to use each one ? by example, should I use bridge for playing muted part of lowest note and middle otherwise ?
@WorshipGuitarSkills
@WorshipGuitarSkills 3 месяца назад
It depends on your gear and your personal preferences. I like the bridge pickup on my PRS but when I need to play something that's not as bright then I use my neck pickup. If I use a Strat then I'll use position 2 or 4 which is a blend between two pickups.
