Agreed. Will be windswept and make life uncomfortable. The trees will also add to calm water areas where you can surface fish. Lily pads would finish it off.
Your fishery is obviously quite new & coloured so probably won’t have any major issues for a while but established, clear, silty, weedy venues definitely can benefit from a well planned dye routine….. just enough dye to slow things down is best, water invertebrates can still thrive but it’s just enough to slow the weed & algae down, winters rarely get cold enough to knock it back these days so it’s a problem that’ll only get worse. With regards to loss of nutrition from algae growth, if the fishery is well managed and not over stocked like yours, there will always be more than enough naturals to keep them happy without the algae. Your fishery is definitely coming on nicely & looking great 👌. From a fisherman’s point of view I’m not feeling the netting personally though tbh, maybe planting an evergreen shrub like Portuguese Laurel or red robin would be a better fit with the surrounding landscape? Look forward to seeing more progress videos 👍
My fish don’t suffer. They are putting on a minimum of 5lb a year. The more light and air exposure the better the fish grow. The higher the water temperature the better they go. That’s how it works. Carp are cold blooded so really on water temperature to grow. I did a video on why I don’t surround my fishery with trees. I suggest you watch it and the explanation will become clear
