Wow the lake is starting to look great!! 💯 agree about social media, not good at all anymore. When your open will defo be booking in! All the best! Mike
With all them time and effort you have put in to project do you regret not just buying or leasing a good to go lake? It must have cost you thousands to get where your at.fair play to you for trying.👍
@@FrigginMossies I own the land I built the lake on so really it’s not been as bad as some. I’ve also done all the work apart from the dig myself. It’s not been cheap but it’s something I’m glad I did. Who doesn’t want a lake in their back garden 👍🏻
Great to see you back fella. Defo missed your updates. Glad your continuing specially as it was for and is to remember your special friend ❤️🐕. Keep the faith and enjoy your family time. Take care.
Yeah only a quick one mate. It’s slow there right now but may pick up if this weather steadys abit. Word of warning the banks are really wet right now too
Have you thought about shocking perch in the pond? It keeps you busy in winter and maybe getting solar air pump for the pond too the carp will love you for it.
@SouthWestCarpHunter oh nice, what about zander they can get up to 20 pounds, and they want to eat the carp, unlike pike but there grate winter fish but you consider the air stone for the pond for the better water quality them carp will grow massive 😂
Good to see you’re still thinking about how to improve things. It was that mentality that I enjoyed about you. Glad to see you’re still enjoying the slower pace of fishing. I’ve been struggling myself with some MH demons after my health problems otherwise I’d have been up to see you before now. Cheers for now mate. 👍👍👍
Hi Leon are your intentions to retire from your normal job when u open the fishery? Or are you gonna get blighted with work going forward as well as having to run your beautiful fishery? Ps how many of us desperados are u gonna allow at once?. Great vid nice fish bud👍👍👍
I’ll keep working my normal 9-5 when I open up. Hayley will be around during the day to do the day to day running of the fishery along with family. Though I will be about most days and evenings. There will be six swims on the complex once it’s open and will have a maximum of 4 anglers on per 24hr. If a lake exclusive is booked you can have up to 6 per 24hr
My fish don’t suffer. They are putting on a minimum of 5lb a year. The more light and air exposure the better the fish grow. The higher the water temperature the better they go. That’s how it works. Carp are cold blooded so really on water temperature to grow. I did a video on why I don’t surround my fishery with trees. I suggest you watch it and the explanation will become clear
Another top vlog👍 regards the bucket muppet, i would chat with the bailiff. They are there to help, maybe not at the time but certainly before you leave
I didn’t see anyone there unfortunately but its in my to do list. Last thing I want at my place is guys like that. His attitude was appalling to when I called him out on the fishery rules. Safe to say he will not be attending my place ever 😂
Stunning colours and patterns on those carp Leon..congrats on the development...crack on m8...remember the socials with ck71 and maff t etc, and the wife box..haha...all the best..👍👍🍻
Great Vlog.had to rewind when you mentioned CB.I have a few of the old vintage radios, Cobra 148,superstar 360 and a Ranger 2970dx. Looking forward to your next Vlog. 10-10 good buddie, thanks for sharing.
Nice. I had the superstar 360 a few years back. Great radio. Now cb is all done online. Midland brought out an app called cb talk. There’s a group of use county wide using it. Really good fun. They even do a Bluetooth mic for it for driving. It’s brilliant
Hi Leon I'm down on this lake for a 48 hour lake exclusive in 2 weeks time any tips on swims and features would be ideal . First time fishing this one so any advice would be much appreciated mate
No worries. It’s full of carp so you shouldn’t have much problem locating fish in any swim you choose. They are fairly pressured all the time there due to how busy it gets so they do move around a fair bit. Along the dam wall is where the deeper water is located though I think this time of year your find them in shallower areas trying to get the temperature into themselves. Don’t ignore the swims that look less favourable, these can be real hotspots on these types of waters. All manner of bait will catch you fish there. They pretty much live off it due to the amount of carp present. It can be tricky at times in there but with a solid bag you won’t go far wrong. Hope this helps
Wheels are in motion for the carpark and toilet now mate. Soon as it’s done I’m organising a few social weekends here during the year so I’ll get you on one of those 👍🏻
