Blue team had air superiority the entire game but never used it to their advantage too.

But you need so many of them. Like 6+ minimum. And because they bounce, you can't have any gaps.

Sure there is no clear cut solution. However I played several games where people had no idea what to do when lol canon shows up

The only thing to is lol, or kill it. A single shield is 3k metal. If your team can build+power enough shields to protect them from lolcannon, they should have just built the lolcannon. (This is a difference from nukes, where defense is relatively cheap.) The lolcannon is the way you say "I was able to sink >60k metal plus several extra AFUS into this, without losing to a push, I win you lose."
