Side note... given the limited size of most tiny homes, I'm thinking the best of both worlds, would be to set the home over a basement when/where possible, and perferably over a basement that has a few small rooms/coves that extend a couple feet beyond the original dimensions/footings of the house, for a laundry/utility room and/or much needed closet.

As of yet, I haven't seen one comment about the Non-black hoodie!! LOL Great color! Great design! Doesn't look cramped. I'd use the sauna space for something else....maybe sewing!

I am so Inspired by the front portion of that house. I love it! It's taking the concept of a traditional home and pairing it with prefabricated. I would take different things that inspire me from prefab, tiny, and traditional homes and customize it to what speaks to my soul. As for the sauna room, I'm liking the concept of the wood and the lighting but I'd skip the sauna and make it into the bathroom. Some kind of beautiful wood to look at maybe a burl or a black walnut but it might need some protection treatment that is also kind to your health. The loft would be my grandkids' space for when they come to visit filled with their toys and a mini library. I would take the 2 bedroom version with the loft included. And visualizing that front deck. Mmmm give me a beer in the bottle and yummy burgers fresh off the grill. And the weather with the perfect temperature. Ahhh. So nice. I can almost feel it.

Yea Sauna! Seems like it would be easy enough to add another "wing" on the house and another portion like the front to form a cross shaped house with a lot more room. The back portion could become a bath spa and sauna with a small office space between the bed rooms

I am a huge sauna fan, this would be included in mine if it ever became a reality. They are so healthy and relaxing that I would recommend people try them, Thanks for the tour and I think I will start my burger plan now here on my deck!! Peace

Carrie this a place called escape Tampa Bay and it’s a tiny home community I think it’s 30 tiny moon so I think our community and which we follow you we should look into something like that as well maybe we can get a development goal with everybody Maybe we should do a tiny home community

I'd rather have an exquisite storage system for all my crafting tools and supplies, than a sauna. I live in Florida so if I want to sweat I'll just go outside. I probably would only use a sauna when I was recovering from illness or had been near someone who might have been contagious. Since (right or not) I figure those are the best times to actually sweat on purpose. 😊

in tiny living you learn to add space outside and I would not use some of my very limited inside space with a sauna, I would put it outside maybe on the end of a deck. I would use that space for a pantry/utility/linen/storage room, or a bigger bathroom because I don't like using the bathroom in what feels like a broom closet.

I love the feel of a sauna. I stayed in one so long that I became dehydrated and could not walk. I was rushed to an emergency room So, no I do not want a sauna. I am not smart enough to come out in time. I, also, would not want to sacrifice living space for a sauna.

@@KerryTarnow The key to any successful anything is a feeling of fun and adventure. It takes us all from Just Surviving to Thriving. Everyone wants a bonfire of love. Starting with fun and adventure for yourself is a good way to go thru the whole ride actually. When I plan a new direction I ask myself “Does it sound like fun?” If so then it’s just a matter of “How do I pay for it?” If it’s not fun then there better be a good survival reason to do something otherwise what’s the point? I see so many people who have lost their way and hate their lives. Zombies. Keep doing what U love Kerry. Hang on to this feeling like your life depends on it because it does.💜🐬

Kerry, well done, bro, for the channel! So funny to read comments from people living in North America. It seems pretty hard to understand that for people who live in Baltic and Scandinavian countries these houses are not “tiny”, a couple with one child can definitely use it as their main residence and that we like to go to sauna more frequently than North Americans go to Dunkin Donuts. Not sure about the houses in this video but they usually have triple pane windows, floor heating and the exterior walls insulation consists of wool and styrofoam. Very cheap to heat and cool

Oh! I've seen these guys before! Their homes are super attractive, and very appealing in many ways. Alas, I think they're a little too small for me to ever consider going for. They'd be perfect for a small cabin, and maybe for somebody living a truly minimalist lifestyle. For me though, they're maybe not the best fit.

No on the sauna. Many municipalities have a minimum of 600 square feet for a home. So the very last home would be better for most. I also who do not like the idea of a ladder and would prefer stairs with storage underneath. But I agree as a very nice looking home. Did you say no oven? That's crazy

Nice look, but I would use the space taken up by the sauna for a closet for clothing and other storage. Also, to live in this full time, I'd think you'd definitely need a proper full-size kitchen. I enjoyed the in-person tour.

Like most houses shown on this channel, this house may be prefab built, but is very impractical for every day living. 400-500' sq feet is just way too small. 800-1100 sq ft. is more practical, especially for a family. This channel is more about 'tiny homes' than prefab homes and, really, these homes are more vacation cabins than anything else. Indeed, the only places I ever see these types of homes is at resorts. I've never known anyone to actually buy one. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with a channel about tiny homes and I certainly enjoy the presentations and dry humor. However, I have yet to see any prefab/modular homes that are of a practical size and less expensive than stick built homes. Even this house, while relatively inexpensive, is probably $200K+ once you figure in shipping such a heavy item from overseas--not to mention the transport cost from the port to your home site and the cost of installing at said home site.

I must agree with you on that most of these homes are definitely not less expensive than site built.. and although small size is great, not so much for 2 adults and 2 teens in my experience. We did live in a 500 sq feet when kids were small.

Many of these manufacturers offer an array of sizes; so … 450 sq ft would be great for me and the more affordable the better. Most families wouldn’t prefer a “tiny” or smaller home, so go big! Many folks of one and two want affordable and simple. Building from scratch is not simple! So a prebuilt, prefab, or mobile house works best for some!!! And given the housing crisis, more simple, smaller , affordable dwellings are in demand! Even if I had $200,000, I wouldn’t want to spend it all on housing- I would throw in vacations, hot tub sauna and car!!! I can dream!!! 😂

Sunna useless especially considering the space used in tiny homes. You should restrict you show to practical homes. At least 800 or more square feet. No loft bedroom. High ceilings are wasted space both heating and cooling expense for useless space.
