Nice. Lots of questions you did not ask like how does it hold heating and cooling, does water get into the home anywhere. People have these questions about a folding home or it could be just me. Who knows.
Wow! another milestone! Heather and Russell were so super nice as well - what better way to usher in this momentous experience - and showing the home-owner lends such a significant impact and depth.. Way to go!!! my friend.
So much information left out. The narrator spends so much time going over details of construction that could wait. If I don't like the actual floor plan, which we are never allowed to see, what is the use of all the other intricate descriptive build explanation. Is this a one bedroom home with two full baths? The technique of the narrator is confusing to watch with so many words but little usable information. Perhaps it's ego therapy at it's finest.
Hi #Kerry I'm so confused are the layouts exactly the same except for the studio and this one? Also any idea how much the Nook costs there are no prices on their website (doesnt show much/nothing clickable for pics/very confusing) and it doesn't show a refrigerator in the kitchen on the fisheye View and NO oven to cook either! Do you know about that by chance? Do you know if there is built in storage and sliding glass doors as "standard"? Unfortunately their website isn't very informative but I'm very interested if you have any other information thanks so much for showing us this I try to catch all ur vids :)
thank u Kerry and those who you are now speaking to who live there thank you so much to be able to share your experience if I was in a wheelchair would I be able to get around in it and weather conditions how has it held up under weather conditions I cannot wait to hear what you have to say thank you so much again for sharing your experiences
Hey Kerry, awesome! It just reminds me of the long process that I'm going through with Zennihome, I'm going to be the first one living a Citizen and we have been stuck for the last few months with the county permits. The house is ready up in page collecting dust lol, and my contractor is ready. Red tape is a real thing 🙂but there is definitely light at the end of that tunnel, expecting a breakthrough in the next couple of weeks. If you fancy a visit back to Az for a first for Zenni, I'll leave the lights on LOL.
Kodos to the homeowner. Most people that do owner/designed homes screw them up badly. She did a great job ! (maybe she has a new job at Seed Homes haha)
@@RussellThomasArt I love it. What a great home. Thanx so much to you and Kerry for an amazing presentation and the couple who owns it. Great plans they have as artists. I love this channel...Cheers gina in Upstate NY
Those are not the first folding prefab homes. We lived in one in a Juneau, Alaska mobile home park back in about 1990, and it was probably twenty or thirty years old when we lived there. I don't remember the brand name, but we were pretty sure it had been built for a much warmer climate (thin walls, jalousie windows). The kitchen and bathroom were in the center section; bedrooms and living spaces were in the two side sections. It had been brought to Alaska as a single-wide, with the two side sections folded up against the center section. It's very likely that there are still some of those old homes around somewhere.
The layout of their prototype is a lot nicer than what I currently see on the site. I wish they would offer a ready-made option featuring this exact house - finishes and fixtures and all. I think what makes this one so special is how stunning and tasteful it is from the design aesthetic when you open the door. It's all in the details!
What a lovely comment, a testament to my wife Heather who designed the layout and the interior finishings. She has a gift, and I'm not just saying that because she is my wife.
The cost is more so into the lithium batteries, solar equipment. I see approximately 100k of solar expense. The design build more towards the $80k. Time may bring down price via volume, efficiency and market absorption.
Nice interview Kerry. You delivered the goods with this update. Got to see the home again while hearing the couple tell us about it. Nicely done. Until the next one. 😎
Well Kerry you are a great interviewer. It's a lot harder than people think it is. Those were some very informative questions. Thank you for taking the time and expense to go do this. Bravo on a job well done.
What an amazing 1-2-3 punch take on this home! 1) The factory visit - this gave us a terrific peek into the construction & design philosophy. 2) The walk-through - love seeing the realized design up close. 3) The visit - it was incredible to see how the family has made this a home for themselves. Hugh thanks to Russ & Heather! Kerry thanks for this review loved it!!!
