Saying hi from Washington state 😊 raised outside of Sarasota and sending prayers for family, friends and neighbors for keeping you all safe and sound as your Floridaing ❤😂😊
I always stayed when a hurricane hit. But gotta admit this one kinda makes me nervous since it's a cat 5 last I heard. I'm from Central Florida (born and raised) and made it through a lot of hurricanes. And if I'm honest I might leave for this one if i still lived there but honestly I never knew where to go. Figured I would rather be home than risk being stuck on the road trying to get away during a storm. Stay safe friend!
Been here about 8 years now. To prep I bought chocolate, beer, cigarettes, another package of water and chips. Everything else I already had in the house. Love your stuff Wicks, keep the donuts dry!
Now it's 62 I was raised the Cocoa Beach Brevard county it seems like it always came to us I mean we would have House parties then I moved to Tampa and it seemed like the Earth shifted and the storm started coming that way so it's my fault I'm so sorry all you guys I moved over to the West Coast and now the hurricanes have followed me over here. But now I'm in Martin county and I think we're going to get the south side of the cone. So I am truly worried for my kids my one daughter is in Cocoa Beach and my other daughters in St Augustine Beach and I do worry I have grandchildren that live in lithia in plant City and I'm extremely worried
25:34 exactly. You know if your area always floods, or loses power, or none. We usually do alright so we don't prep that much. The only iffy is if we shutter up the windows. Down by us in SE FL I don't think it'll be too bad.
My issue is this is a possible Cat 5. Otherwise I just tell my mom we are fine. But a possible Cat 5 with an eye wall headed to my area yeah that's a bit more preparing lol but otherwise I always have water, bread, peanut butter, grill lol Im more preparing for lose of power then anything else... I just went to the store got a few more loaves of bread, a few more jars of peanut butter, some more charcoal, and some batteries.
I hope that you are good n ready for this flippin storm. Ugh ... hello from Vero 😊 this is some crazy ass chit happening. Stay safe, get your Publix fix before they close. Hopefully we'll see ya sooner then later. Been here 25+ and this 1 is a lil nerve racking. I hope it goes down a bit... don't want no 5 hitting here. I was living on long Island back in the 80s when Gloria hit there, it was a cat 4. I was a Hella lot younger then, but dam ... I remember having no power for almost a flippin month. We survived and made the best of it.
You have certainly made me laugh. I've been in Florida since 2006. So almost a native? (Ha!) I've prepared for hurricanes every year. Starting in March. There's mean nasty people pop up everywhere. Ignore them.
