@@abhishekmarathe9088 PPP doesn't work so well in the West bcz projects in the west hv become so expensive to execute due to high land prices, labour charges, raw material etc and also massive delays due to people not willing to give land to govt, environmental challenges, slow bureaucracy, strict labour laws etc. One eg could be California's High speed Train which is more than 10 years in the making and over 100 Billion Dollars already invested and still even the track is not complete.

India needs to uplift it's GDP upto 60 trillion dollars to get the level of p.capita income of the developed countries. This is a herculean task But the fact is that india is gathering all its momentum towards that goal. Right now India's GDP is poltry 3 trillion dollars. So india needs a 20 times higher GDP than the present GDP to raise the per capita income levels to remove poverty
All depends on execution. Delay in project completion is a big problem in the country. Centre, State and all other stakeholders need to cooperate for the plan to become successful.
I think the execution is going to be good. The one thing I can't deny is current government is good at completing infrastructure projects. May be its because of digitization but we have some other problems that need to address like fighting over religion, corruption etc

The Brits created the First World/Third World schism and tried to maintain it. It was the USSR that stepped in and helped build Bhilai. They also built India's first Institute of Technology. This - not arms sales is what led to the strong Indo-Soviet and then Indo-Russian partnership and friendship! In 1971 the USA and Uk sent warships to support the Pakistani dictator perpetrating the largest genocide since 1945, killing 3 million in East Bengal. It was the Soviet Navy that warned off the USS Enterprise and Soviet threats to attack China stopped Mao from attacking India in support of Pakistan.

It's ironic the US and India now both see infrastructure as prerequisite to future development. Ironic because we were all told that China's massive Infrastructure drive decades ago were a waste. Well I am from Maharashtra and I wanna tell you what really happened. BJP cm did better job when it comes to infrastructure ( at least Better that others parties) They started all halted projects. Metro project was assigned in 2011 in for my town but nobody was talking about it. BJP started that project within 1 year and project is now ready so ya I can say BJP is good at infrastructure. Shivsena, the current ruling party was in alliance with BJP from many years. BJP got majority of votes followed by shivsena. But at last moment, shivsena decided to pull support as uddhav Thackeray ( shivsena ) wanted to be CM. So. BJP denied that and shivsena made alliance with CONGRESS and NCP. Even after getting majority, BJP couldn't form government. Ironically, shivsena used to curse congress but now they lick a** of congress. Basically , call it loophole of democracy. Many people voted shivsena thinking that vote is Going BJP anyways
But TBH, East Maharashtra is one of the most compromised region. Both BJP and Congress ignored it. Just because of nitin gadkari , we are witnessing some development and I think everybody in east Maharashtra want nitin gadkari to continue his work as union minister. Don't really care who become CM.

My grandfather was a very proud man, he used to boast about his radio. My father first got a black n white TV in 1985, today he spends most of his time watching classic movies in his smartphone. If you compare what India was back in 1980 and what it is now, this doesn't look like a steep task. Maybe obtaining this in 5 years is bragging, 10 years is a delay, 15 years is corrupt as hell.

But that defense budget in case of war will cause destruction Its better for us to know why we're here than to destroy each other. Sadly none of what you said will come true. India is headed towards really really dark times. The religious violence that we will witness by the end of this decade is going to impact us so greatly that we will frankly turn into a failed state pretty soon. That is unless the state can promise economic growth the likes of which we have never seen before, and I highly doubt this will happen because no matter which government is in control, if the structure incentivises corruption and bureaucratic red tape, you are doomed to flounder. Secondly religion; it is becoming evident that the country will see a decline in the majority religion and atrocities being committed against them by members of minority religions, this coupled with the government's incompetence in controlling communal violence will result in really really tough times for the common folk. The violence witnessed in states such as Bengal, Kerala, Kashmir, will gradually trickle into larger cities resulting in chaos, sadly we have only just begun, I can't possibly cover everything in this comment but I would advise everyone to leave the country as soon as possible.....

For bullet train...the land acquisition in Ahmedabad is almost done ... But Maharashtra govt is becoming unsupportive ... hence much of the land acquisition is panding in Maharashtra... Hope that opposition gets some sense that being opposition of country doesn't mean to be opposition in the state where you are one of the allies of ruling party of that state... Edit: now Maharashtra state govt is changed and the new govt is same that of central govt...😄

I live enroute the high speed rail project between Ahmedabad and Mumbai. Land acquisition only completed few months ago and in one month they have completed the 25m tall bridge for tracks. India is building expressways at the rate of 30km per day.

Correction: Budget won't be reduced in the fourth year, fiscal deficit will be. You can keep increasing budget and keep reducing the fiscal deficit if your revenues are growing faster than your expenses.
Well firstly these projects are not " just getting started", they have already started. So funds have already started being allocated to the Bullet train Project etc. But there is not alot to worry about the Bullet Train Project as majority of the Project is funded by the Japanese Gov. And have given India a very low interest rate.

Indian govt and Indians are positive enough to move ahead and become 3rd largest economy and enhance its gdp by 2030 enduring employment in public & prive sectors. No economy grow without tackling the obstacles. Indian govt and Indians do have enough strength to overcome all unforeseen circumstances and achieve what we deserve.
