Its also not about how many sets you win, its about how many matches you've lost. because the winners bracket finalist has not lost at all, the losers bracket finalist has to win 2 matches against them, this is called a bracket reset, and essentially means knocking down the other finalist to the losers bracket, so then there's another final match.
@@tymon_kolasinski Ohhh ok so it’s basically an entirely separate match from the first finals match if you win. Yiheng did get the bracket reset last season then right?
@@tymon_kolasinski this might be random, but did you take inspiration from Feliks Zemdegs as you got better at speedcubing, or did you take inspiration from someone else?
i still think about gan's post where leo and tymon went head to head, tymon got a 3.5, and somehow, leo got a goddamn 3.4 barely beating tymon😭😭😭 edit: ok ik u talked abt it in the vid but still, i still find it insane
GAN sure knows how to run a spectacular show. They just need to also invest some of that money in the app to fix all the technical issues and the ridiculous scrambles to make it even more exciting. And at least I make more money (for now) than most 7-year-old cubers.
As someone who has been solving since 2006, its really amazing to see how far the scene has come. Honestly a whole competition of sub 5 solves is just unhinged and I can't wait to see where this goes. Say what you want about gans pricing, they're clearly putting that money somewhere. Do you think smart cubes are the future of solving and competition?
4x400 metres relay but with a cube as the baton. Each runner solves as they run and passes on the cube to be completed (or carried safely to the finish if it’s already solved). To make it fun, and give every runner a few turns, the cube should also be a 4x4. 😜
Love your content! Can you please tell me, for competition how is the cube mixed up before solving? How is it randomized? By whom? Thank you.. This is so fascinating! Especially that its done by young children!
Gan's starting to dominate the whole cubing world...where's moyu....weilong.....well done Gan,Stucube thx for your explanation for i didnt know how the Gan system worked.thx bro
Thank you Stu for simplifying the whole tournament for us folks like an NFL Championship season or the FIFA World Cup. Daily "hate" message: I very much dislike brainrot.
Great job, Stu! Yeah, like I said in an earlier post... The sport is moving towards smart cubes and away from timers. All the world records will be vanquished and rendered useless. This is match play, not stroke play. (Like golf) It's all about money and spectacle, and there's nothing wrong with that.😊 Plus, they are going to HAVE TO start using the 3rd and 4th decimal places! Unless ties are okay.
The smart cube marketing by GAN is pouring with too much money marketing to in-justify the cube price increase .The scramble is done by the solver which give a look ahead in advance over from the last few steps. This explains why you can see a sub 2 results for 3x3 which noone has currently achieve wca settings. In fact, if wca want to tighten the rules. The competition should not allow stickerless cube as the edges of each (color) side are flush to the very edge. There is no true 2 look apply as this explains why some cubers place the cube lower during the solve. If the sticker cube with black structure with sticker is used, all this advantages will be remove. And I don't think we will see any sub 4 or 5 second solve for sometime at least.
These numbers aren't really "super inflated" They are more realistic, because your not adding the pick up and drop to the TPS, which obviously makes sense.
This is the future of cubing. It tests how long it takes to solve a cube. The current system tests: how long it takes to solve a cube + time to move hands to cube + time to pick up cube + time to put cube down + time to move hands back to stackmat sensors.
Smart cubes are the future. Who as a kid hearing how hard a cube is supposed to be difficult thought, "I bet I can pick that up and set it down so fast"? That was never part of the equation.
