At this point, I am fully convinced that Tymon has found a way to somehow use nervous energy to fuel him. He is the complete opposite of others which makes him a frightening opponent in these significant events. If you look at his averages from home, he sometimes posts videos with low 5 and sometimes high 4 averages. Other people around the same level as him (Ruihang, Max, Matty) have posted sub-4.5 averages, but he doesn't seem to post videos of averages as fast as them. Correct me if I am wrong, but the fastest video evidence of Tymon doing a casual ao5 at home is a 4.99 ao5. Then, if you look at his comp results, you will see that he seems to get sub-5 averages frequently, so the comp nerves give him a boost. Then, when he has the most pressure on him (ER/WR BPA, NA All Stars & NAC finals), he acts like he is on NOS out of nowhere. Yiheng may be faster than Tymon, but with Tymon's level of nerve management, I think that Tymon has a good shot at winning Worlds 2025 finals.
tymon is not a sub 5 cuber, tymon does not consistently get sub 5 averages, if you take tymons last 10 averages and average them, you get 5.62, which is very far away from sub 5. Yiheng wang is a sub 5 cuber. Yiheng Wang consistently gets sub 5 averages. If you take Yiheng Wang's last 10 averages and average them, you get 4.91.
I almost cried after this competition was over. It’s what I’ve always been dreaming cubing would become. Hopefully the first of many competitions like this! Thanks stucube for another awesome video!
Thank you so much for making this possible! It was insanely well executed, I know how hard you’ve worked to get it to this point and can’t wait to see how competitive cubing progresses
@@STUCUBE Hey Stu, I was the Technical Director for Matt/HappyFt for the All Stars and NAC streams. Thanks so much for the high praise. You nailed it when you said we will look back and say this is where it started. We're going to work hard to become magnitudes more professional, polished, and most importantly entertaining so cubers and non-cubers alike will tune in and see why we love this sport so much.
i do not often comment, but now i have to. I did not see this comp live, and did not know how it ended, so watching you video was like a thriller. I love your style of videos... i sub'ed like a year ago (or 9 month? idk) because i don't really actively following any other cubers but i like speedcubing since i started 30s solves nearly 15 years ago (never got better). I randomly watched NAC last weekend and with your vid now, i'm really hyped for Europs this week and more coming Events with great livestream. Thanks for your breath catching videos, this one was your best so far! Also can't wait to see a battle Yiheng vs. Tyson!
I remember watching your videos and having many criticisms about them not long ago, but nowadays your videos have gotten so much better. We havent seen much (or almost any) of this intermediate level high quality cubing content since j perms desertion. Love the vids
Great video! Definitely the most memorable competition I've been to out of my ~160 comps. It was very cool to use TimeBase (shoutout to Calvin for putting so much work into it), and nerves definitely hit with full force, especially in round 1. It was a tiring comp compared to the actual amount of competing I got to do, but it was so spectator friendly. Also, it didn't take up the entire day, so we actually were able to enjoy more about the experience. This competition is absolutely huge, and is setting the standard for what future competitive cubing should look like.
I have to say, this event was amazing to witness in-person. I was on the staff team and I think everyone there knew how important this was, both for the competitors and spectators, whether they can solve or not. This idea had been in the works for about a year and I think the end result was perfect. Shout out to the Midwest Cubing Association for pulling this off so well.
I'm so glad that I was there (I was working on the third floor above the event) It was amazing hearing the crowd and seeing the cubing community come together in my hometown!
Hi STUCUBE, i need to tell you how awesome you are. becuz today is my thirteenth birthday and this is my first comment i will ever make on a youtube video. your videos are the best and i always watch them, i am more excited for them then for Cubeheads video :) thank you!
@@Pomni-q8q wtf do you mean, many of the best cubers were there. Even TYMON, first sub 5 average and second in the world. He has been a top cuber for MANY YEAR.
This was truly one of the greatest comps that have ever been planned. It was so cool watching the livestream for it! Also daily "hate" comment: I hate pyraminx tips.
Its takes me 10sec to rip the cube out of the box. And 20mins to put all the broken pieces together again. And you have to hold them still or the parts fly off
Your videos are great and everything but , your naming just...not good. Now, I cant suggest better titles either, but you dont have to be a chef to tell if a food is edible! Hope you will upgrade that and keep up the good work.
@@STUCUBEif you want to clickbait just keep the clickbaity title and add something that actually vaguely indicates what the video is about. right now it's near impossible to tell what any of your videos are and it's probably hurting your engagement more than helping.
