The $10 Business is Dead... For now. 

It's not relatable to a new seller just starting out.

I don't think season 2 was ever going to be a "this is what YOU can do". I agree with you on it ruining the actual concept of the series but the series is simply content. As a business they can't afford to do it the slow way, the way all of us would have to start. It's unfortunate but it is what it is.

thats what the first series is for, go back and watch that if you want to relate, now this series is for people who did that initial step and have a full business and arent just starting out, it makes sense to do it that way, redoing the first challenge might get boring if its repeated

They said it’s season 2, implying it’s the same idea or concept, just with different method of sales and the strategy of fast money. it hasn’t been advertised in a way that you’re saying, it’s being hyped up like it’s another $10 business, not for people that already established a business.

@@jfh.8064 the best way I can explain this for you to understand is to think of a TV series, season 1’s plot comes to an end, and if there’s another season, it’s usually taking place because of the first season’s plot, it’s not the exact same thing, season 1 and season 2 are different

Don't get me wrong. It's a great model for your business. It's just not great for RU-vid.

For us, there’s no “ulterior motives”. This business is about making money and inspiring other people along the way. We are incredibly blessed to have the following that we have, and it has its benefits when it comes to building business relationships with sourcing and selling. That being said, we aren’t doing anything that everyone watching is foundationally unable to do. It may take an extended tenure of hard work and consistency, but our hope is to show that you CAN build a business at the speed of cash. No complex plan - just buy smart, sell fast, and hopefully we can have some fun and provide some entertainment along the way. If authenticity is what you’re after - Season two of this series will be great, because it’s our team, working together, leveraging our resources and tools to give the best insight we can into our operation! Jesse, you’ve been watching for a long time. You’ve digested hours of the content we’ve put out. Honest question, Do you think we’ve put out content that is beneficial for”new” and “beginner” sellers? Do you think it’ll be possible for these beginners to enjoy the challenge, even if the speed in which we might be able to achieve results is different from someone else? Do you think they might still learn something from it? This business started out as one person, in a spare room buying random lots to learn what can be sold on eBay. Like any good business, it’s evolved and grown. Our hope is that people can shed excuses and scarcity mentalities to find some grit and passion to get after it and build their OWN version of a $10 business. They don’t need to copy us, but if we can help motivate or inspire someone to just START. That’s a win.

I remember when it was just chase in that small basement announcing he Is going to be a father. I just rewatched some earlier yard sale seasons. You guys have put out a lot of content for new sellers especially on the catrp channel. I'm along for the ride regardless and yes change is hard for a lot of people myself included. I think at that moment I just felt very excited to see a new not established business grow! I get that social media and followings is the new norm for you guys now and you want to move the inventory faster but I felt pretty bummed. I know you guys owe me nothing but who knows hopefully it'll be an awesome series! Wishing you guys the best yard sale season.

Don't think you watched the episode leading up to this though. This was clearing out everything that was left over from season 1. Everyone jumping all over this with negative feedback and it's literally the 1st part leading up to new season.

I think it’s kinda the point, nowadays they could spunk a couple of grand and not fold but they are showing you how to build it from the bottom

@@catrpcrew Your channel's appeal lies in your genuine, hardworking nature. However, is live recording a series where you flip bargain finds for large profits truly a wise choice? Naturally, that’s business 101. However, using this as a replacement for season 2 of the $10 series is questionable, at best.

There are tons of selling platforms that are available out there! eBay, Amazon, Mercari, WhatNot, and Marketplace just to name a few! We’d encourage you to find whichever one works BEST for you and get started! You can create your own version of a $10 business. We will be here to encourage ya and cheer ya on! For us, we wanted to try the “fastest” form of selling we could find, and WhatNot was the right fit for us! Sounds like eBay is that one for you! Excited to see you do it!
