By chasing unreal landscapes and spending nights at unlikely abodes where no tourists go, the $100 nomads prove that budget stands in no way of a grand adventure.
Xenia jumpstarts the series by hunting for snake meat on the streets of Chiang Mai, leaping off the cliff and into a 100-metre deep quarry, and learning Thai so the crew can spend a night at the rustic Mae Kampung.

I have to say that this is the Best Video ive seen so far.. Xenia! Cant believe that u jump that cliff.. and Great to have colleagues or friends that supports u to do the jump.. seriously smart.. I cant wait to see the other challenges ahead.. Fauzi and Zhin im waiting for ur 100Nomad Series..

I love going to Chiangmai, it’s like my second home. Baht is easy to convert to sgd, love the people there, cool and relatively safe city, awesome food and there’s always something to do for everyone for all ages. However, My hands down favorite memory is going there for CIP trips with my friends and riding on the back of pickup trucks moving at 90km/h on dirt roads

The Thailand equivalent of “abit spicy” is Singapore’s version of “burning hot” the chili padi my friends and I had when we did CIP there was so hot, we placed bets on how much we can keep it in our mouths without drinking water

Something about Chiangmai chili Padi. The hill tribes call it Ah Pek and it’s so hot that me and my friends placed bets on how long we can hold it in our mouths for without drinking water

S$100 is possible for countries with low currency but if you were to go countries like japan it would be very hard

Depends on what part of Japan... If Tokyo or Osaka, yea its pretty much impossible as the cheapest hostel is around $30ish per night. But if you go to Hokkaido, it is very doable as its not as developed and the food and hostel stay is at least 50% cheaper. I've been to Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and Hokkaido before and I was shocked at the price difference. Tokyo is about as expensive as Singapore if you don't fall for tourist traps and Hokkaido is like Singapore with half price everything.

Peachy Mango The part of your comment about Osaka is simply untrue. I left a few days before the last major typhoon and I paid $10 a night for a guesthouse per month of $15 per night. Several hotels in the area with the same pricing. Just have to know what areas to look.
