I got the 903 base white today and It's such a joy to build in this case. Got a 360 aio on top to cool my 5800x and still so much space. A 360 rad at the front is no problem too and plenty room for a pump and resevoir to build a full custom waterloop. Cable management no problem either. The airflow in this case is perfect!!! Its a great case for only 70 euro's. I seriously don't know why you would pay more for a case cause this thing is offering so much for this price point. Great job Montech! The only downside on this case for me personal is that you can only mount ur front fans from the inside at the back of the fan bracket. If they would have changed that to front mounting I would have given this case a 10/10 but nevertheless a 9/10 is really what this case deserves.
The Base comes with just two front 140mm fans mounted, but it will take three, just like the Max. I'll be moving the one from the back to the front (so they match) and replacing the rear exhaust with a 140mm I have on hand. I don't mind that one not matching the rest.
Nice review! Got all information that i want. I plan to pick this case when it is available in my coutry. The only one that i hesitate a little bit regarding cable management. A little tight and i also using custom cable extender.
Thanks so much. It was great to build in and other than the few small issues I mentioned, everything was great. I was even able to fit my custom cable extensions
Thanks for the review! 👍 I'm planning on getting one of these when I build a new rig before the end of the year. Not available here in the UK yet though, hopefully it'll be available in a few months. 😎😁😎
Awesome review once again Danny 😅🥰👍. Tbh, Montech have been smashing it with their cases the past 12 months or so imo💪😉🥳! They also offer really good pricing / performance for what you get and compete with the big boys.
Im considering buying case for my next computer build and was lucky enough to find your review. Very informative with both good and bad. Only thing imo missing is a list of the parts used. Like i don't know what the gpu is, or the tower cooler, both are of interest to me. Still great review and i get you are not a big channel and probably can't afford all the best gear or have vendors giving you samples, but you make up for it with making the review have detail like temperature testing which most don't do.
Thanks so much! I don’t remember what CPU I put in this. Most like a Ryzen 7 5800X3D. I use that one a lot. And the GPU is an RTX 3070 Strix from Asus. Glad I could help with your search. The 903 is a great case for an even better price.
Nice look at it! Well I like the case especially for the price. (Front Type C included for starting at 65? Yes please). I wonder if one bought the base and put some better fans in how much performance could be gained?
I very highly recommend the Sky Two that I used for my build last week. Mine is in black (the mesh at the bottom is dark grey which looks very very good). The RGB fans and the installed controller are great. My build cost me about 700 USD with a i5 13500 and 32gb DDR5 (no GPU, no need for my work use) and it looks like a lot more expensive PC for sure and is incredibly faster than my previous (i5 7500), should do for the next 7 years like my previous did.
Compared to the Lian li 216 and leaving aside the quality of the materials, are the temperatures the same or is one better than the other? I am leaning towards the Montech 903 Max but I don't want to be disappointed with the temperatures.
Temperatures were great! I haven’t used the 216 but this has 3x 140mm front fans. Nothing but a wall of air going through it. Doubtful you’ll be disappointed
I have a question regarding the Montech Air 903 MAX box. Are the pre-installed HP140mm fans on the front compatible through software with mystic light msi? Thanks
so i guess this case should have better airflow than montech sky two. i do wish you could compare both. it would make a good video. especially cos both have similar pricing. at least on my country. not sure globally. but should be similar. i kinda prefer sky two. cos it looks good. that's why i'm curious about the performance of it.
How did the case "feel"? Did it feel cheap? Does the steel used feel substantial & not thin/wobbly? One thing I liked about older cases like Antec & cooler master is that they were heavy but the steel thickness felt substantial and built like a tank.
Is it possible to install an arctic liquid freezer 2 in this case? length 45.8, height 13.8, width 3.8 it seems to me that if you remove the fan from above can you help me with that?
@@DannysTechChannel That's not correct. It would fit easily cause the mounting of the radiator is offset to the motherboard. Otherwise my 360 aio wouldn't fit either at the top.
