This works really well since I’m backside at Topanga. One of the better ways to get off the wave. Passing the luff handle behind your back is pretty easy too. Agreed on the waist leash making this easier.
That AFS wing is incredibly stable when flagged out. In comparison, my Duotone Slick SLSs are all over the place. I am sure that Duotone could make a more stable wing if they wanted to so, presumably, that is a design choice by Duotone. I wonder what the AFS is giving up to achieve that stability ......
I haven’t played with it enough yet to say, but I did notice the Wilf lacks low end. I don’t think that’s due to stability. The trade off I’ve seen in other wings is the more stable the wing the less easy it is to tack and do freestyle tricks. The Duotones are super easy to tack and flip around. If I was going to buy an AFS wing I would probably get the Diamond or be looking to their new boom wing.
