I think doing Etsy + another website or platform is great to do. My channel is primarily focused on Etsy(since that’s where I’ve seen my success) but I’ve done Shopify prior and I saw higher profit/scaling on Etsy. There are always drawbacks of selling on any third party platform like the issues we’ve seen this past week, but I’m personally not leaving since it’s still bringing in a nice income stream. That’s just my experiences though and I think POD on or off of Etsy is great overall and worth a try.

I agree with this comment. Can you trust Etsy! They closed a new shop I opened which had only 6 listings. I appealed to no avail without a clear reason given. Today my older shop that has been opened for a year has been suspended and again I have know idea why. I am from the UK and also find it very frustrating that we are very limited to the products available here with Printify.
Cute sweatshirt! Thanks so much for the video! I have heard that for personalization, you’d have to delete the sku so Printify won’t produce the product as it. I’m new to POD and haven’t tried customized listings yet. In your video, it didn’t look like you deleted the sku? Or is it just skipped for the purpose of keeping the video from being too long? For this example I would not offer free shipping. I don't think I said to offer free shipping in the video but quote me if I'm wrong. I personally do not offer free shipping on any of my listings now.
With printify would you choose (printify choice) for production? Or choose your own? I've been watching you for a long time and just need guidance to do something from home...I work in another town and our winter roads are sketchy. Started snowing today 🥶. That's my push to start POD or digital products.
I personally choose my own POD provider because I know the comppanies fairly well and have used SwiftPOD since the beginning of my shop. I think Printify Choice is great for reliability and safe with the color choices & shipping though. I just personally like choosing my own POD provider. Wow to the snow already! I heard that it's cold many places and I live in Chicago so no snow(yet at least). Wishing you warmth again soon! 🔥
Thanks for the video. It is really very enlightening. I am a beginner and watched several videos. I thought that you can always design on Canva and transfer to the design object like T-shirt, etc. Do we really need 'intermediary' like kittle? I will really appreciate you answer from you or anyone. Thanks
It's completely your preference of softwares~ it's not the software at the end of the day and the designer behind the screen 🎨 I just like Kittl because POD conditions are clear and I like the advanced design features(that are most similar to Adobe that I've seen) I don't have on Canva for my POD designs. Canva is great for bulk tools/social media and mockups though. I think you can't go wrong with either or any software, this is just my own preference and I've used many design tools at this stage that this has been my go to when I design now.

You can use Printify mockups but I prefer mockups from Etsy that give the realistic feel and boost my conversion rate. I've used these mockups in my shops and they've just worked and sold on repeat. Printify mockups aren't inherently wrong but the white background is lower converting in my experience.
i know you have had a lot of success with POD, but could you make some more content on digital products? particularly pertaining to SEO/niches sourced from pinterest and brought to Etsy?
I like your simplified video (and eating PB&Js) and want to try prints of my artwork in 2024. I have had a store for about a year and almost no sales. Can I hope to be successful just continuing with my current store?
Yes you can still add on to a preexisting store ven if you haven't had sales. It's the listings that rank and not the shop in whole; however, the more shop reviews= more buyer trust and higher conversions. The only time I do not recommend using a preexisting shop is with low star reviews.
It depends on what platform you sell on versus website. Etsy is usually around $50 to $100 to tart with just the minimum and Shopify/your own website is well over $500 for daily ads, subscriptions, coding and more unless you try social media route.

Printify has some of the lowest POD prices I’ve seen and with Etsy, if you click into the $9 listings *most* of the time the price listed isn’t an adult tshirt- it’s usually a toddler tshirt or tote bag, etc and Etsy shows the lowest price on each listing. Hopefully this makes sense and helps! :)

The DPI feature I've kept on 72 because the download at 4200 by 4800 still read 300 DPI on Printify once uploaded seen at 17:26 and if you enlarge then the DPI goes down slightly. The DPI feature is a bit funny because if your size by pixels is what the POD provider states then DPI when uploaded should be 300. The DPI feature does export at 300 DPI if your artboard size is smaller.
Interesting I don't use canva or kittl myself but I watch you guys on RU-vid since the videos are related to Etsy POD, which is my business as well. I have been using photoshop for over 10 years now so that is my preference. Personally, I would never leave a graphic that I planned to print at less than 300 dpi no matter what. In the professional world of printing you don't just make your files very large pixel wise and rely on that for high resolution. You do both. My graphics for example are always a minimum of 5000px and 300 dpi. Printify might tell you it's 300 dpi because you made the pixels very large but the file itself is still at whatever dpi you actually set it to.
@@celestialnightshade6658 this is what I was thinking too. I know on Canva and assume Kittl you can ask it to expand, but seems better to start off where you should be then expand if you need too.
