Hi Dr. B. I retired last June and slowly adjusted my diet starting with eliminating sugar and flour. Was diagnosed with Barrett’s disease. This is when my plant based Journey began. Right now I am a pescatarian. I just finished your first book. I have been focusing on becoming plant based for 9 months and lost 50 lbs with 20 more to go. I am now ready to tweak my journey. I am starting the 28 day plan and realized I just need to make subtle changes in my eating plan. I just ordered your new book. So excited to dive in. I love the way you teach. You have a wonderful calm demeanor. Easy to listen to every day. I feel great. This is the best time off my life. My golden years. Thank you for your expertise.

My mom wasn't an educated woman (from the country in the '20s), but she picked the info up somewhere...she taught it was important to have a yellow & green veggie every meal. We also had potatoes often. I feel she gave her kids a headstart in our health with food from our garden.

Just starting to read the comments and I don't think this video is for me! I was a vegan for about 10 or 12 years and 10 of those years I was desperately sick! I can't get into all the details but I had a severe form of chronic fatigue syndrome and almost every system in my body was breaking down. For almost 10 years I felt that I was going to die and people maybe laugh when they hear that but until you have that feeling in your body you don't understand. Most people cannot live on Plants alone because meat and dairy has protein in it that cannot be found in plants, even if you combine Foods. The only thing that help me to overcome it was by going back to meat at every meal because it contains purines and that is what I needed to finally become more healthy. Even though I still struggle with some things that metabolic typing diet saved my life!

I surely am NOT laughing. Humans are omnivores. Even in the earliest chapter of Genesis meat was also part of the human diet as were plants. Too much of any one thing is not balanced. Also, everyone's diet requirement can be different. Yet, if you compare teeth of a veggie eater like deer, elk, cows etc., to an obligate carnavor such as lions and wolves they are strictly hunters of meat. They cannot digest veggies on their own. They do not possess the digestive enzymes to do so nor do they possess the grinders to further crush the plant matter. All they can do is cut and tear off chunks and swallow. Yet, by eating herbivores who can digest plant matter, eating these including the digested matter in their mouth and still in the digestive system of their kill, they get the nutrients of what they need. Likewise, these herbivores have strictly cutting and grinding teeth, no way to digest meat. Humans have both, cutting teeth up front with pointed teeth and then those flat-four cornered pointed grinding teeth we call molars. All those along with the digested enzymes in our human saliva breaks down first off followed by the rest of our digestive system which then takes over. It's all really cool.😊

In my early 20's I was vegan for about 4 years. It did not suit me at all. Allthough I tried to eat as well as possible I felt tired, energyless and had difficulties in keeping my weight up in healthy kg's. I also developed allergies to all soy products and most of the nuts and seeds. In the end I just had to stop. I added oily fish and organic eggs into my diet and cut out most of the beans and grains and I got my health, energy and life back. Now been living like this almost 30 years since and I would never go back to veganism for any reason. For some people it doesn't work!

Dr Will makes a huge mistake if he says a low-carb (or even keto) diet is low in fibre. Obviously, it can be, but it is effortless to have huge amounts of fibre included in your diet. It is like saying a vegan diet is healthy and finding out the vegan only eats sugary pastries and drinks hot chocolate or coca-cola. Possibly the research would have reflected more honestly if the divisions in the research were not made on diet "titles" but on do you eat a lot of fibre?

Soaking seeds nuts and wheat is an old practice lost. My understanding is that it removes “antinutrients”. Wheat should be hand milled bc they remove good nutrients.

Wash rice until water is clear, Then cook for 5 mins, then remove from heat, change water, rinse rice again. Do the same with beans, legumes, potatoes, but first soak beans/legumes for 12 hrs.

I bought his book and considered and tested his theory. Very few people are lectin-sensitive, and yes, soaking legumes and seeds will make them more easily digested and likely eliminate reactions in those who are sensitive to lectins. I'm in a functional medicine circle and most of us have de-bunked Gundry's theory.

I wonder why there are many people who are actually recovering from very bad chronic diseases and mental illness with a CARNIVORE diet? Although they eat full meat only diets, they recover and if they go back to any plants foods it brings back the illnesses. Not EVERYONE, but MANY are recovering. Plants aren’t always bad, but some are particularly worse that others. They have lectins, oxilates etc that wreak havoc on the system. People eat too many of these and make them sick. Example is spinach- it is a high oxilates food. People blend 1/2 to 1 lb in blender thinking it is good for you. IT’S NOT. Oxilates are like slivers of glass in your system. Meats and dairy do NOT have oxilates. I will say with any carb food even a “processed” bread very high in a fiber (Keto like) RAISES my blood sugar, resistant starches also raises sugars. (I’m on CGM). I’m working on going from very high numbers to normal. I find fasting and meat only to be able to get numbers down. Any carbs raises BS. I wish it wasn’t so, but for now I’ll be on mostly protein and fat diet and lettuce as an added ‘green’ once in awhile :(. I’m actually having better BM with carnivore than fiber based diet. I was a perfect specimen of a person with BM until I was exposed to 20 family members that were recently CV vaxxed and were around me for 2-4 days july 2021. For the next 2.5 yrs I’ve had diarrhea most days! NEVER IN MY LIFE UNTIL THAT WEEKEND HAS I HAD THIS ISSUE. I found that it might have been ‘shedding’ of the vaccinated all over me a non vaxed. I’ve had NO cv since the beginning of this mess. It has been found that the vaxed are LOSING their immune systems, T-Cells, etc. I’ll stay mostly carnivore for now. I can add fiber in powder form if needed.

I believe fruit is our primary diet.. with salad whenever.. fruit is the highest frequency food. Our goal is to raise our conciousness and our frequency. I hear people saying they've astral traveled by eating fruit. Of course it will not work if you don't Meditate. I try to Meditate everyday.

Highest frequenzy is true, but fruit is low in minerals compared to dark leafy greens, cruciferous veggies and seeds. Raw vegans get lower bone density as they age. So idealising fruit is a path that longterm can lead to issues.

Try eating probiotic food as opposed to probiotic supplement. Raw sauerkraut, kimchi, natto, yogurt, kefir and kombucha are all good. Dr. Chris Gardner, Dr. Justin and Erika Sonnenberg had a Paper showing the powerful impact of fermented food for gut health and diversity of the micro biome.

Can a 7 year old take probiotic or prebiotic while on miralax. She has been constipated since last December. Doctor's have not done any exams. She never learned the potty training. Did not want to use the potty. What exam can l ask for so we can know what is her problem.😢
@Roobah

Presuming no intestinal blockages: STOP giving your child MIRALAX!!! You want to ruin her for life? Get with a dietitian to balance out here gut minerals... Like magnesium citrate, sodium and potassium intake. Increase fluids as a mineral drink, not just straight water. Eliminate all sugars for at least a time. How do you not know your child is in fact DEHYDRATED completely and you keep giving her Miralax further dehydrating her? This is absolutely a drug NOT too be given to a 7 year old without Dr. Supervision.

@goldstar846

You are completely wrong about animal proteins. Dont eat meat for humane/ moral purposes sure...but don't lie about the nutrition attached to it. Meat houses EVERY SINGLE amino acid the human body needs. I love vegetables......but I can not eat them and my inflammation goes bizerk when I eat them more than sparingly. We are not one size fits all. Some thrive carnivore...some thrive keto....some thrive low fat...some thrive vegatarian. The key here that makes all these diets successful and missed by all. Is the removal of processed shit from our life.
