In seriousness i think the closer you get to finnishing a song the more you see imperfections and it gets harder the closer it gets. I was watching a Produce like a pro post and It mentioned how John Bohnam was depressed in his last few months and felt everyone seemed to play better than him. I guess self doubt haunts us all, All the best mate.

Writers block has been my main opponent through my entire life. Here is one tip I’m sure helps a little, sometimes a lot: if you look at the stars at night, the bright stars you see easily, and if you focus on between them, you may see hardly anything. But! If you focus elsewhere, and watch from the corners of your eyes, you see how the empty space is actually full of twinkling little stars. Then if you focus there, you see nothing. Same applies with the writers block. I’ve tried different methods. One that somehow works for me, is to just write and write and write with pen&paper and sometimes I find that brilliant one-liner or a rhyme comes out of the pen. Then later I make a framework, a song, around the brilliant line. I think Jimmy Page was thinking same phenomena once he wrote: “Like thoughts inside the dream, they leave no trace.”

One of the things that I do is to write ideas for songs. I have a catalog that I can use later on, Even I can use an Idea more than once. Maybe I have an Idea but I´m not ready to writte a song about it at that moment.

You should do a video on using chat gpt. I have tried it and it was useful. It's writing reminded me of what you would get from a greeting card. It never gave me a line I could use, but what it did come up with gave me a different direction to think about or a new way to approach a lyric. I tried it on a few songs that just needed a line or 2 to finish and it helped on a couple of them, was no help at all of a couple of them.

gps chatGPT just ask my friend AI to write me a song - then edit it make 2 copies of chatgpt song examples. then combine them into 1 ask gpt to read you song, and ask it to edit it, repeat x2, then edit it. waaaahlaaaaah... you have a perfect song. no one will know you used chatgpt.
