Man, cremo has the vintage suede soap in target that smells like ombré leather. It’s cremo’s version of ombré leather. Smells pretty close for a 3rd of the price. Now we can just bathe in it now that the soap is out. Literally !
Started a new job in a building this week. By far the most complimented fragrance that I wore was CDNIM Sillage! I’ve worn Y LeParfum, Guerlain Vetiver, Gentlmen Intense EDT, Mont Blanc Explorer. Sillage won the week hands down!
I’d say Prada Luna Rossa Carbon is extremely office safe. No harshness to it. Just a sweet musky lavender is mostly what I get and projection isn’t too strong.
I've actually gotten compliments from people like 10+ feet away from me with Carbon in the office. I appreciated the compliment but now I spray it like once if I use it in the office instead of 2-3
Versace Pour Homme was my go to fragrance for many years in the office. Everyone loved it! I got compliments all the time. Would recommend. Fresh, Lemony, Herby, and not terribly expensive.
Note a fan of Molecule 01 however Molecule 01 with Mandarin is awesome. The mandarin makes more noticeable without turning anyone off and less boring. Just saying..
I agree, Prada Lhomme and TF Grey Vetiver are the best office fragrances known to men. Prada Lhomme with that soapy fresh iris while Grey Vetiver has that muted vetiver note with grapefruit. Both are classy and sophisticated yet inoffensive.
Burberry Touch is one of my all time favorite scents. I'm looking for fragrances that smell similar. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I think the powdery note might be my favorite part. I imagine some of the other fragrances that are mentioned in this video will get me close but if anyone knows any that specifically smell close to Burberry Touch, I'd appreciate it.
Molecule 01 is very interesting. I have been using it for a few months layering it onto anything I wear for the day. It does in fact change based on your body chemistry so it is something that can be quite a gamble for a blind buy not in a bad way. When I wear layer it on it helps the push the life of whatever cologne I am wearing. It is true that to some it will be undetectable but someone will smell and ask what you are wearing. Others will pick it up right away and as I have said above the scent can change slightly from person to person. With that said I am 100% buying another bottle when I run out.
@@Cooliewhistles I experimented with it at work, a few of the guys are frag heads. They had cologne on but once we figured out what they wore we sprayed a spot that wasn't hit by anything. At first it smells the same within about an hour for some it smelled almost like citrus, another had a more woodsy smell and another bordered on almost fresh/sweet scent.
Drakkar would be near the top of my list if the longevity was better. I suppose that a few sprays in the bathroom every couple of hours would suffice, but it just doesn't have staying power otherwise.
My recent all-year-around choice for office is Mr. Burberry EDP. Generic? Maybe…but it’s balance between formal/casual touches are too perfect for offices nowadays. In warmer seasons Casammorati Mefisto Gentiluomo, cooler days MFK Masculin Pluriel are also my go-to’s.
some under the radar and inexpensive great office scents I have are Dupont pour Homme Lalique Perles Bentley Momentum Unlimited all work great in the office
Thanks for another great video, Ash. My most used perfumes when I'm in the office are Armani Code Parfum, Chanel Platinum Egoiste and Dior Homme 2020. On Fridays I wear anything (sorry colleagues) 😁
The one I've actually gotten a lot of compliments is Office from the Jeremy Fragrance dude. Not sure if the price is better now or not, but I was surprised how much I liked it. Dior Sauvage was liked in my office as well. The original D&G Light Blue was a huge hit too, but I ran out of it.
That's funny, I thought Light Blue got universally panned and my female friends didn't seem to like it either the one time I got that. It's just the most meh fragrance ever, also terrible longevity. I really like The One Grey but like I said elsewhere the problem is you can get called daydrinking because it literally just smells like Tanqueray gin to me, which is why I love it. Also terrible performance as usual for D&G.
Aventus Cologne. Absolutely slept on, undeservedly lives in his famous brothers shadow. Unreal performance, knock out scent, office safe and compliment MONSTER. But… Worst naming mistake in fragrance marketing history.
ADG Profumo has been a winner for me in workplace compliments. Glad to have a backup bottle due to discontinuation. Surprised to get a compliment from CK One Lotion from co worker. Has a very nice lasting sillage.
Excellent list. My Go-To Office fragrance this last couple of years has been a tag team of classic Guerlain Vetiver or Encre Noire Sport. When rainy or colder weather a pinch of Armaf Club De Nuit Intense does the trick (the original batch with the silver atomizer which sadly is down to its lasts puffs). I will try Bentley Intense this “autumn” (in the tropics you only get two seasons: summer and HOT summer)
I find in an office setting that lighter and close4 to the skin is safer. Along those lines I like Acqua di Parma Colonia Pura, Dior Homme Sport 2017, and Armani Eau de Cèdre (but you have to go light on the Armani). Oh, and anything from Hermès' cologne series.
I got a 200ml bottle of Hermes for my birthday. I was really excited bout it as the OG is one of my fav fragrances. Tbh, yes i do love the intense Vetiver but was a bit disappointed that the Vetiver was dialed right back. To me its a grapefruit/wood bomb. But still love it. My king of compliments when im in the pharmacy is Afnan supremacy not only intense.
I haven't worn a fragrance to work yet that has gotten complaints, but I also work in a spacious, high-ceilinged warehouse. It's pretty hard to choke out coworkers in that environment. I might be destroying my body but at least I can overspray 😂
I was about to say Wood & Wood was horrible, but then I realized I was confusing it for Eau & Cedre. I don't think I've ever smelled Wood & Wood. My surprising choice for the office is Bvlgari Man Terrae Essence. I know it has a bit of an earthy note to it, but it's still somehow clean and for some reason, folks in Southern California like that slight ruggedness that's not overbearing. It smells like maybe you hiked earlier, but you definitely showered after.
@@ben88866 super weak skin scent, doesn't have a lot going on, completely gone after 3 hours. I love Issey Miyake scents so it was a blind buy, but it was an instant regret. Reminds me of Molecule 01 but weaker. There's maybe a little something there for the first hour, but after that if you're not putting your nose to skin, it's gone. After a couple of hours, gone entirely. I had asked a couple of people at the time what they thought about what I was wearing thinking maybe I was just nose blind, and no one could smell anything on me at the 3 hour mark. And for what it's worth, I tend to overspray. Not great at all.
Surprised dunhill icon isnt here. Mauboussin homme edt should be here. The edp is thick and sweet, better for nighttime. But the edt gives off a brilliant, office safe, classy, old school lavender vibe
l haven't been able to smell it yet, but this month l'll be blind-buying Prada's Amber Pour Homme and make it my work-scent; this all stems from reading, on more than one occasion, that it was the best scent for physicians as it is the cleanest, least offensive scent.
Agree with all your comments Ash. I own a couple of your recommendations. Want to give a shout out to a classic Paco Rabanne Pour Homme. Literally smells like posh soap 🧼.
My go to office scent is Bleu de Chanel EDP. Definitely have worn that the most to the office over the years. But now my collection has gotten much bigger. So i wear whatever I feel like now. I don't care.
Paul Smith Extreme Men gets my vote. Very woodsy and fresh. After one day it's my new signature scent. It's the smell of success in a bottle. Seriously. One whiff and you'll be in a higher tax bracket
I can't smell Molecule 01 at all... I spray it on my skin, put my nose on it and... it's like I doused myself with water. But I use it to layer some of my scents. I get a lot of compliments when I do so. Update: Made that comment before he finished talking about it. Almost word for word. 😆
I rarely wear The One Grey, because it's so uninteresting and the performance isn't great. It also smells like pickles in the opening, so I typically tend to pick something else from my collection. Code Colonia is a solid pick, but as mentioned, it's becoming scarce. I probably won't try to find another bottle after mine is empty, just because I don't want to pay inflated prices. I can't smell Molecule 01, but I use it for layering. IDK if I'd wear it alone, since it's kind of like a booster, more than a scent. My go-to workplace frags: Versace Pour Homme. Fresh, clean, not overpowering. YSL L'Homme Cologne Bleue is another in the same vein as Versace Pour Homme. It's fresh and inoffensive. I actually wear Eros the most for work and get tons of complements. It's strong, but it has character. I'm just mindful of how much I apply.
Hello all. Can Ash, or anyone please tell me how to use M02 (molecules 02), alone or layered with another perfume. I bought and still don't know what's the best practice. Thank you
