Glad to see you rank the Sgaile album so highly now. Got onto him from one of your previous videos and absolutely loved it. Always appreciate the work you do.
I am new to your stuff but holy crap have you highlighted some hidden gems I have not heard yet.. Amskray is incredible! And from there I am moving to Kyros.. Great stuff, keep up the amazing work!!
@@RhymeSignatures Amskray continues to blow me away!! Incredible stuff.. If you havent heard or checked out Plantoid you should get on that. It came out this year, the album is called Terrapath!!
List is great! Put me onto some new stuff, this years been such a great year for music im never running out of new albums to listen to Here's mine in no particular order Orgone - Pleroma Sunburst - Manifesto Clairo - Charm Johnny Blue Skies - Passage du Desir Thou - Umbilical Sexpill - In Dust We Trust death's dynamic shroud - You Like Music JPEGMAFIA - I lay my life down for you Febuary - February Parannoul - Sky Hundred
I like the bands Objections and Memorials that recently did evening sets on radio BBC6. Objections were kind of alt-rock/Sonic Youth ish and Memorials are a punkier Stereolab. Curious about getting/hearing more of Waxahatchee's one. In prog terms I'm not sure. Curious about anything this new Cardiacs line up/tribute and it's side projects might do I suppose. Curious about hearing more of Lava La Rue and Nilufer Yanya. I see on Bandcamp today American acoustic fingerstyle guitarist Yasmin Williams has a new album out this week. I'd love that.
Loved the list! I think the only one that I know from your list is the Reconciliation album from Almo (top 10, no doubt). Now I've new stuff to dig in. Thanks! Keep it going!

I did give it a go, and I follow why you and others enjoy it. Just a few names, I am a little surprised were MIA..or could be on the Honorable Mentions? In Vain Persefone (if EPs qualify) Dirt Poor Robins
If you're a fan of the new Alcest, Sgaile Aquilus albums, you may enjoy our debut "At Light's Demise". Atmospheric black infused with death/doom FFO Agalloch, My Dying Bride, Winterfylleth, Swallow the Sun etc!
Nice list! A few of those I haven't listened to and I need to rectify that, especially Sgaile and Kyrus🧐 I know you mentioned you had listened to the other Aquilus albums - I was curious how you'd rank the three of them? My top 10 so far are... I just realised I haven't listened to 10 albums in full this year. I need to remedy that 🥲
That SLIFT album sat on my Bandcamp wishlist for months before I finally decided what to do with it. Good call. Cover is simple but disquieting. The Sgaile album is my #1 for the year so far. Brilliant, joyous, uplifting.
Great list and I love to listen to your passion for these albums. My thoughts on some of these: Slift is definitely on my top for this year. Sgaile and Kyros are really cool. Almo is nice, but feels way too much like Haken for my tastes. Alcest, Azure and Aquilus are definitely on my "to get" list.
