Thanks for the ad removal tip. I did not have the option to remove it on amazon's website (which was weird), so I just told the customer service that that and they had it removed from free.

Nice video! I just bought a refurbished Kindle Paperwhite that was supposed to have no ads. Well, it did. After reading reviews I called Amazon support and supposedly the ads were removed. I checked Amazon and it does show that. However, the ads still show up and I have to swipe to get to my books. I went through several times of restarting my Kindle, while the rep was on my phone, and they still showed. I had to go to work, so he said he will call me tomorrow. I just think Amazon should turn the ads off in such cases before the customer even uses their product. It's just a click on a setting. Anyway, I learned a few things from your video and will be trying them, so thank you for doing this! I did set mine to dark mode (I'm a night owl) and even in daylight it feels better for my eyes. My previous Kindle is a gen 3, so I have new things to explore!

Hello. Do you have a kindle paperwhite signature? Or just a paperwhite? I am going back and forth on whether or not I should pick one up from prime day but I want to make sure I can do the lighting schedule on a normal paperwhite? Or do I need the signature edition?

Does the customer service thing only work in the US? I only get the Amazon Assistant bot and the bot obviously just gives me links to follow.

The customer service trick worked for removing ads but it looks like I must have a different kindle to you because I can’t find the show cover option? After some googling and messing around I found it under screen and brightness 😂

When ads is removed, whats your screenlock display when you dont have it on the display cover?
