I have a PW (my first ever!!) coming soon, and I think i watched most of your kindle videos. I really love your videos, channel, and vibe. I love your excitement about kindles ( which I was on YT trying to convince myself it wasn’t an impulse buy), and how kind you are in your explanations. Thank you, hope you have the best spring. Xx
Hi there, is there a way to rename a book on your Kindle that has already been uploaded? Like directly from the Kindle? or is it only possible when you are plugged in via your computer (if thats even possible)? Love your videos... so informative!
Thank you for your kind words! You should be able to rename your files using something like Calibre (this is probably the easiest way), or maybe even on your computer just by going into the Kindle (on the computer), but the Kindle itself doesn't have any type of file management capability to do that. I hope this helps.
There are foreign dictionaries taking up space on my kindle that I can't delete. the only option is to 'add to favorites'. All other books have the option to delete or add to favorites. Help!
Oh I got you on this one. Go to your Amazon account (I did it on a computer). Go to Accounts & Lists: Content Library. Select Dictionaries and User Guides. You should be able to delete them from there. 😎
One of my favorite things about the Kindle is the way we can push Highlights and Notes to our Goodreads accounts - and that authors use this to provide annotations on their own books. SO cool!
😂 I mean, if you have all of the others, you DEF need the little one to complete the collection. 😂 I have multiple Fires that I don’t use, too. It’s a lovely screen, but I don’t like to read on it, and I have other tablets for other things. 🫣
Oh no, I absolutely do NOT read while driving. I'm not sure what I said, but I do listen to books on Audible while I'm driving, and I read while riding the Peloton bike . . . I think that sometimes I say I "read and ride" forgetting that not everyone knows that I mean a stationery bike. Sorry if I said something that sounded like I was reading while actually driving. I honestly never do that.
I’m in the UK. I had the libby app but it was replaced by overdrive. I don’t think it works in the UK on a kindle. But it works on my Kobo. Not sure if that was helpful, but I think it depends where you’re located
@danielle5780’s reply is interesting, bc in the states, it’s the reverse. The Overdrive app was teplaced by Libby, so we now use Libby to checkout books and it works with Kindle. So like she said, I bet it’s regional.
Just open one book, tap on the top, then again on "Aa". In the window that opens you go to "more" and there you can switch on "show clock while reading". Good luck!
Great video! My top tip is the Text-to-speech option on Kindle Fire. (I used this feature on my old Kindle keyboard. If it's on the Paperwhite, I have not figure it out, yet.)
It is a great option! I think Kindle had to get rid of it because of a beef with the voice actors union. You should be able to use VoiceView (in settings/accessibility). It's a bit cumbersome, but it works. I hope this helps.
