I still want a game on the modern conflict between the templars and the assassins. I found the modern storyline very interesting and they just sort of kicked it to the curb.
It's still there 🤨, it was shown on AC 1 -to present AC (Valhalla) we all know what happened to Layla and we all know where Desmond Miles is at now (in the grey)
So so many problems with this list but my biggest problem “what do the templars want?” Haven’t we as fans been taught they want peace and order through control that’s the major end goal and has been since assassins creed 1?

It's so crazy, Desmond Miles was 25 years old when he died and then his essence was transferred to the grey, where Juno and Loki used to live. Loki outsmarted evor (Odin) in the end though
The protaginists dont see through the birds eyes, its just one of the animus perks. The bird also communicates to the protagonist when the spot an enemy. Like back in the day people trained birds as a form of communication.
5:15 Perhaps they couldn't go back down into the temple to recover his body because of the radiation the device emits ☢️ Layla's exposure to lethal amounts of radiation in the temple found from Evoir's memories means she would've died 💀 clearly the assassin's don't have radiation suits 🤷🏻♂️
Senu and other Eagle perks are not Eagle vision. The RPG AC games also has it's own version of Eagle vision where they can scan the area for information while they use their birds for tagging enemies.
Leaving Desmond's body - they had to leave the chamber when Desmond was pushing the button to save the planet and they just didn't go back, because they thought Abstergo was on their tail, so they probably just packed up and left as soon as possible (and they were right, Abstergo were in the chamber probably the same day) About Eivor - the middle choice is canon, because male Odin and female Eivor are canon, so Animus can determine the gender of Eivor, but Ubisoft gave the player a choice because that's just easier and you can play it as you want And the following 2 are not even mysteries, it's obvious that Reader is Desmond and Lucy was a traitor
although lucy is vaguely a traitor it’s heavily hinted in the first game that the templars manipulated everything involving lucy’s infiltration of abstergo, its possible after they staged the incident where vidic “saved” lucy that they manipulated her into believing the assassin’s are the real threat and the templars want only good, that begs the question of if her time with desmond and them bonding would of been enough to sway her back from the templars…. its left open ended, as for why Kristen bell left, it was payment disputes ubi didn’t want to pay her more so they cut her character out.
Anyone else remember in the first game where Altair’s journey involved him realizing that while the Templar’s were evil, they still genuinely believed that they were doing the right thing and maybe the two groups weren’t so different after all. And then that all changed to Templar’s being straight up villains.
One of the reasons the Ezio trilogy was a flunk for me, it gave no grey area, just black and white, hero vs villain stuff. Ezio is a great character, but to me, he had no one to challenge that character or make him question himself.
Spoilers: The explanation is actually quite simple if you understood the ending. Female Eivor is canon, but she is a sage of Odin, who is male -- hence why 'Eivor' (or in this case, Havi) shows up as male in the Asgard storyline if you allow the Animus to determine the gender.
I really don’t care about picking a gender I’d rather have one gender set to a warrior it makes sense with. The rumored Chinese game in the works? Yea if we had a set female assassins for that I would complain an ounce.
There wouldn't be hell to pay if the character was female, the issue is that if you make a woman you need to cater the gameplay to the female character instead of the box standard male character gameplay. Would women be respected in year xyz BC? No. Would they be seen as equal to men in that age? No. Would they be leading a charge or siege? No Liberation had proper gameplay for Aveline, she had different costumes for different types of missions and the accent was on what she would realistically do, like if she's in the lady costume she can charm enemies and if she's in the slave costume she can pass through easier, with the assassin costume always being notorious but having access to all weapons and tools. Nowadays they don't have the balls to say "Women used to be treated badly so our character has to do this and that" so they just make the gender a cosmetic choice like a skin
Its been said that Eivor is a Woman, and we can choose the gender only because Odin's dna interference. edit: I also got the feel that they left Desmond's body because it was obvious that either Abstergo is coming or the treath from Juno was to risky to stay longer. Its not that hard. ... and Templars... the only thing they wanted since the first game was 'Order through total control', and nothing else. Templars goals arent crystalized above that and never were. Every period of time we visited another group of Templars just try again, and usually fails or partially fails because of Assassin's interference.
That messed with me too. I never thought their motivations were some big mystery. The story clearly outlines what the Templars want to do. Even the Order of the Ancients have that same goal to an extent. The only difference between the two are the way they word their goals

Another point you forgot to mention is that The Reader from AC Valhalla is voiced by Nolan North who was the same voice actor for Desmond, so there’s that too.
When it comes to eagle vision I thought it came about in humans when the isu tried to implant the 6th sense that they had in humans but it didn’t take completely and that led to eagle vision I know for example anybody with isu dna can use the artifacts of Eden but not everyone with isu dna can use eagle vision there are many who have a high concentration of isu dna but still can’t use eagle vision
The 7th sense is knowledge nothing close to vision. This was said at the end of brotherhood before killing lucy when desmond was doing the parkour part to get the stairs.
It's basically boosting all your senses when you hyperfocus (it's usually discovered by accident and trained later on). I don't remember the game but somebody says that you can hear colors and see smells. And when Mary asks Edward in AC4 since when could he use the "boosted" senses he says he could do it since he was a kid. Heightened hearing makes sense in older games tailing missions where you can hear them from relatively far away and heightened sight makes sense in older games where eagle vision is that filter that highlights anything important
@@justjoe5373 in ac brotherhood when we do the last parkour sequence in the esu vault juno talks with desmond saying the esu are superior to human because they have 6 sences while we have 5, the last one is knowledge which the esu locked in our DNA. Maybe juno was said knowledge referring this eagle vision and remember there are few people with hybrid DNA who are immune to the apples power like desmond. maybe this DNA is the secret to the eagle vision.
These are not so much mysteries as they are plot holes and/or continuity errors. Bound to happen in a long-running series that didn't have a Point A and Point B clearly outlined (which is most of the entertainment industry, to be fair).
Eivor’s gender was explained if you simply pay attention 🤦🏻♂️ she’s female but because she is the reincarnation of Odin the animus detected his male DNA

this might be unpopular but i liked the modern day segments of black flag and rogue, maybe tell me who the character is and give a lil bit more of lore, but those sections were pretty relaxing same as the desmond part of revelations (the lost archives dlc gave lore and was very relaxing for me)
Regarding valhalla: Ubisoft already conformed that there will be another (cost-free) DLC to Valhalla marking the end of Eivors story. So we probably will have that answered soon
I think Desmond became the reader in that world because he still has a part of himself in the Animus, and maybe the isu took his memory from the Animus and whatever abstergo took from his body from their servers and put it into that world to make Desmond a higher being for the story
Eagle vision in older games: an ability of the select few to incorporate all their senses together to such a high level that they can notice things undetectable by normal humans, and the ability is carried through genes, triple helix and such. That's why you get that filter that highlights stuff around you. In the lore it makes sense Eagle vision in the new games: a bird-drone that's magically linked to you and can see through walls. This can work in Ghost recon where they have drones but it doesn't fly (no pun intended) with AC with stories set before Christ and during Viking age, and neither does it make sense by the lore in any way, shape or form
Going to need to fix this video, it shows Ezio and Assassins creed Brotherhood when talking about the Ark of the Covenant also later on when you mention Altair it shows Ezio instead
What about Shay, Connor and Arno?They have met? Ubisoft still needs to make a sequel for them and even for Edward to see exactly how he dies and how Haytham will be a templar

Actually Assassin's Creed Series itself is a mystery.Jade Raymond and Corey May representing Shaun and Rebecca.They are creating a some kind of a simulation every year.
My interpretation is that Eagle vision is the manifestation of some form of psychic ability that those with a certain concentration of ISU DNA possess, it also therefore explains the connection to birds that the modern games have (some form of psychic link) and an explanation for the confessions, since the concept that these discussions happened as they actually died doesn't make sense, particularly with the way that many of them would occur in the middle of a fight (did all the thugs wait for the assassins to discuss things with their victims? did the victims helpfully wait to die till the Assassin had dealt with their allies? Did the Assassins somehow always make sure to leave their target for last?) and the way that, cetainly in the Layla Trilogy, or certainly Origins, the Ancient you've killed appears to be moving into the afterlife at the end of the discussion, to say nothing of Arno's memory thing.
Technically Desmond’s death caused two plot holes, why his body was left behind and if the Templars can extract ancestral memory from deceased “subjects” than why keep the subjects alive so long? If it’s because it’s impossible to keep DNA preserved for long periods of time then why treat their “subjects” as disposable. Also another question raised is if the bleeding effect can transfer skills why risk accidentally training a master assassin?
I just had a big theory regarding assassin's Creed Odyssey at the end of the game the small glowing pyramid isu artifact looks like the 72 names of god pyramid from ac2 that ezio drew . And when you touch it you see future events yet to come.

The evior question has actually been answered both in game and out. Evior was a girl Odin was a guy. But unlike the kasandra and alexio situation who where twins. Odin and evior are not twins or of the same species so it confuses the animus By the way the canon choice is let the animus choose which gives you girl evior. While for origins it’s kasandra (which wes chosen as canon do to the voice actor being better) who’s popes up later
Did they call Ezio Altair? Don't get me wrong the series has been heavily saturated with several plot holes, but some of the topics in this video was actually well explained in the game. Some of it is bs to cover their ass, but well explained.
Eivor is a female and it's not that the animus can't determine the gender. Ubisoft did the same as they did with odyssey it gives the player the choice to play with male or female protagonist, but the cannonical characters are Kassandra and Female Eivor

The reason why the Animus found 2 DNA strands is because Odin, like the other Aesir gods, uploaded his DNA onto the Yggdrasil tree in an effort to survive Ragnarok. That DNA was then distributed through mankind. Thus Eivor, canonically female, had strands of Odin's DNA. And Odin was not the only one to be reborn in a body of the opposite gender, same happened to Sif 9:25 Are you fucking kidding me? EVERY single game states the Templar Order's objectives as CLEAR as day. Even the Cult Of Kosmos and the Order Of Ancients, their objectives were as clear as daylight, how did you not understand them?

old assassins creed games tended to be rebecas animus a homemade one which did translate but not very well hence accents and forgen words whereas newer ones are abstero entertainment anmimus so have a better translation that is the animus translation lore
ac1 was amazing as it conceptualized templars and assassins on a way deeper philosophical way.... now it is just a cinematic universe mole of bizzarre back and forth plot changes while not bringing any closure to any mistery. Hope the modern day set up of ac1 can inspire ubisoft on taking a huge quality upgrade on the way they handle the REAL story of the franchise .... and all this casual gamers from ac community keep praising the last 3 chapters even if those were the worst thing i ever played (besides Valhalla's main story ending... that look like somebody woke up with some sense at Ubisoft).
How is Altair been a brown boy sleeping with a Neanderthal Templar not a mystery…. Ubisoft will put same sex aspects, but god forbid we remind the boys where we come from. Arno wasn’t even engaging to the player, he’s a complete stranger like the Frye twins and their “Rooks”. We don’t have a main character because Desmond killed Lucy. Sample seventeen and Sixteen will be sad memories for this generation like Ezio’s back story. If we bring up the Islamic accuracy of this game we have to pay attention to Prince of Persia. RU-vid will delete comments. Players only worry about the parkour and the looting. The prince has all the loot, but Aladdin has all the moves
Altair's accent wasn't retconned. It is well established in Assassin's Creed 2 that the Animus 2.0, in regard to translation, is inferior to the Abstergo Animus from AC1 and THAT is why we have accents and sudden sentences in italian in AC2 through Brotherhood. If your game has no accents and the characters are talking perfectly in the selected dub of your game then that means the Animus is just working as intended. Unsurprisingly, the Animus used in Unity is an official Abstergo model.

The one with Kassandra is weird because Ubisoft higherups told the developers and marketing team that Winner don't sell videogames well.... Fucking assholes I'm glad they left. Kassandra is the Canon mc but was replaced by Alexios (And Male Eivor for valhalla is the same) as the poster boy of the game.
There's a flimsy explanation in Odyssey when you start a new game. The Animus picks up on the DNA of Kassandra and Alexios for the spear. Whether that's because Kassandra and Alexios have similar DNA structure because they are brother and sister or because they both touched the spear during the events of Odyssey are unknown. Valhalla's explanation makes way more sense and is much more satisfying though
It's been confirmed that Eivor is canonically female. Eivor was a female name in Old Norse, and it was common for the last name of a child to represent the father's name with a male or female title at the end. "Dottir" means "daughter". Eivor Varinsdottir is a completely female name. The explanation for letting the Animus decide Eivor's gender is that Eivor is a Sage, and is a descendent of Odin. When the Animus picked up her DNA, it also picked up Odin's. If you let the Animus decide Eivor's gender, you will play as female Eivor in the "real world" (England, Francia, Ireland, Vinland) but will switch over to male Eivor during "dream sequences" (Asgard, Jotunheim, Helheim).
Bruh thank you sexism ruined the AC story.Just make a man character or a girl character and you can decide that choice from history sometimes as in odyssey ;Spartans were only male and adopted from their mothers at age 7 to train for many years and enter war at an early age .and the women would stay to make more children for Sparta and take care of Sparta while at war. But of course instead odyssey ignores this and brings us kassandra and alexios and complicates the story as Deimos could be either one of them
Canonically it has been confirmed that Kassandra was the true Eagle Bearer and Alexios was Deimos by Valhalla, as the database confirms Kassandra gave Layla the staff, and Kassandra appearing during the Isle of sky Missions
