@@cutecell2798 That would be Rodrigo Borgia from AC: Brotherhood the fact that it was I loved taking him down shows how well written of a villain he is.
And, in real life, Niccolo Machiavelli wrote _The Prince_ with Cesare Borgia as the perfect example (aside from everything crumbling around after he became ill). It's funny how they mention poisoning his own father Rodrigo Borgia aka Pope Alexander VI, yet Rodrigo was intending to poison Cesare. It would have succeeded had Lucrezia not intervened.
@@isaacgleeth3609 to be honest lol I once had to write an essay about a philosopher so I picked Machiavelli because of AC2 and I indeed figured out Cesare was actually the perfect leader in the eyes of Machiavelli, still a cool fact nonetheless! Only since then I’ve been wondering why Ubisoft chose to make Machiavelli an Assassin 😅
I never understood how the Desmond sections were such a break from the game for other players. I mean we started the series with him and as such his story is just as important as the story of his ancestors. Hell without him we wouldn't have a story. I had hoped we would've had a modern AC game with him as the protagonist. But of course we can't have that.
@@dora_thedestroyer it's not your fault you missed it but I'm sorry you did seeing them for the first time was an amazing experience back in the day before the world went to shit
@@Jmjm-wl7pd The world was already a big load of shit. Now it's just bigger. And I didn't miss anything, I played all the old assassin's creed games & haven't finished the first one yet.
Because he's *BORING AS F*CK* and being yanked out of the action and forced to play as him always felt like a *chore* for most players (myself included).
Yeah I think Desmond miles is a good character I just wish that he has his own solo assassin's creed game but I guess the writers have there own story to tell
You forgot to mention the most evil thing Warren Vidic ever did in his life: Manipulating Daniel and turning him into a sleeper agent. Vidic had Daniel spend most of his childhood inside an Animus, making him relive every horrible event, his ancestors had to do or witness. And then he programmed him to infiltrate the Assassins and murder their leader. It’s because of Vidic’s actions that the Assassins aren’t as strong as they were before.
Abbas also was the one behind Malik Al-Sayf's death as well, the guy who Altier caused the lose of his arm and death of his younger brother in the first game.
One of my most hated character is chrysis, from odyssey. She was the one that took the protagonist sibling (depending on who you choose) from their home and turned them into the villain that they are today, and even worse, attempts to burn a baby right in front of the protagonist. All while insulting, laughing, and showing absolutely no signs of remorse or regret for her actions. Not to mention... Her voice is sooooo irritating. Luckily, you do get the chance to kill her, and give her the most painful throat slit ever.
Or better yet... Postpone Chrysis side quest until AFTER finale. Saved Deimos and recruit them as lieutenant. Start Chrysis side quest and command Deimos to kill her.
@@HollywoodLego Don't think so. Even using Deimos to take them out, while possible, still need to use some loopholes. Need to run away and hide to call Deimos in.
This is really true my ohn most of my guys describe Desmond as boring and wack and assassin's Creed series removing him from the series was Ubisoft's best move
If you read the novelization of Brotherhood, you discover that not only did Cesare shoot Mario, he took his head and stuck it on a pike right next to that young woman Ezio met at the villa
I don't think Desmond is hated. I'm not particularly fond of him, even though I'm a fan of the older AC games, but most other old school AC fans seem to love him.
The only thing I hated with juno is that we as players were robbed of killer her ourselves. They should've focused on developing her more with her husband instead of doing a half but job in their story and just throwing it all out all together
i actually love dag, in the beginning he seems like a sarcastic non-blood brother and throughout the story seems to get increasingly jealous and spiteful towards eivor, it's a heart-hitting story point
Nice list and here’s one of my top 10 hated AC characters. 10. Shay cormac 9. Lucy Thorne 8. Rodrigo Borgia 7. Otso burg 6. Crawford starrick 5. Juno 4. Reginald birch 3. Charles Lee 2. Warren vidic 1. Daniel cross
@My Name Is John Marston I know but still it doesn’t make it any less of a betrayal but that’s why he’s number 10 cause he gets my least amount of hate.
Cesare Borgia is the one i hated the most but also one of my favorite villains. He is just so annoying, coward but powerful that makes you angry! Plus he ran away of ezio countless times.
I may be crazy and very wrong on this take but I believe an AC game where you ARE the big bad who is killing everyone for power would be really cool and fun to try out and play, then in the next game after it you would be the big good guy who at the end of the game would take down the guy you were playing in a previous game. Idk what you guys think but I’d be all in for it
Also Juno yes was phased out but it was more her story was resoelved in the Assassin Creed comic books so in a way she was killed off in a different media
It’s less of dag being a bad character and more of Ubisoft not giving characters mor depth because In the end dag was a fun character for the most part
I remember the hate came from the fact that people wanted to get his part over with in the first games. Hating it whenever it would cut back to his story. This was when the games initially came out but nowadays I'm glad to see people don't hate Desmond as much anymore
I genuinely don’t understand the hatred Desmond gets. He’s a compelling and tragic character. If you’re gonna hate a Miles, make it William not Desmond.
I think it's from people who hated having to cut back to his story during their play throughs. I never hated Desmond myself when I played the games but I'll admit I didn't care for his story at first
People NEVER hated Desmond they just didn't like the modern-day story, in the first game you were stuck in one room the whole game and the sad part is that after Brotherhood Desmond went in to coma after killing Lucy and only woke up at the end of revelations and by the end of AC 3 he died 😂 so that's why he was "hated" but at that point Patrice Désilets go fired and other lead writes left and that's why the games have changed so much now.
I hated Lee, no bc he was a bad character. I was just so damn tired hearing Connor say his name lol. I still contend he shouldn't have been the final boss and it should've been Haytham instead.
Charles Lee and Cesare Borgia top 5 antagonists,Al Mualim,Rodrigo Borgia and Haytham Kenway is on top, honourable it’s Bellec and Vidic My personal ones is Cesare and Haytham
I disagree with some of this list. Desmond had a right to be paranoid about helping the assassin's, later games show that they have their own interests and will do whatever it takes to achieve their goals. Dag grew increasingly agitated given how Sigurd was missing and Eivor basically couldn't tell anyone why, if he knew what was happening he might not have understood and lashed out all the same but it seems all he wanted was answers. Vieri is a sniveling little shit but in the end he just wanted his father's attention and approval "You are not Vieri, do not become him." -Mario Auditore, Assassin's Creed 2. Warren was a manipulative prick but he had a few valid points, still he's a product of the Templar order. An egomaniac who believes he has the right to tell others what they should believe and how they should live their lives. Basically the the ends do not justify the means.
I always assumed Al mualim jjust went crazy from the apple, he became to power Hungry but wasn't he actually honorable especially to Altair before hand?
I only played the rpg games in the last few years and when I saw the title I tried to come up with some notorious villains of these games. But I really couldn’t come up with any. I think thats mostly because you don’t really have a big baddie anymore, but a bunch of Order Members you have to discover, and therefore can’t really build a grudge against
I hate that Germain freak that killed Elise the most, but he's not even on the list. Cesere Borgia was entertaining at least. Some people really like Desmond to be fair. Altiar's mentor wasn't actually a literal Templar, he was just loosely allied with them for a time.
He took the Apple to accomplish the goal of the Assassins at that time--peace. Al Mualim saw that the Apple of Eden was the only way to end the Crusades permanently and to end all conflicts.
@@alekseimuchko9946 I've allways loved AC for their story telling, visuals, pacing and characters up to ac4 at least (didn't have it in me to bother with the rest). The ending of Revelations allmost made me cry even. But when it came to game mechanics, such and movements, fighting system and what not, ac3 was like trying to tie your shoes with your forehead.
@@Gundolf300 I've 100% all the games except origins and Odyssey, and honestly 3 is one of my favorites. I'm sorry that it just doesn't do it for you man. i feel you on revelations tho. that shit had me tearing up. then embers made me actually cry
Man , can you people STOP yanking at Desmond in EVERY POSSIBLE WAY ? Sometimes I wish they just kept him despite the ' flack ' he ' caused ' to the franchise . Sometimes a story of a bland and initially unwilling character turning to a hero actually WORKS - Desmond's NO EXCEPTION to the rule .
Yeah Men,He Willingly Accept Edward's Journey To Find The Observatory.Only to Be betrayed By His Own Right Hand man.nstead Of Working Together to With Edward to survived,He Blames edward For Everything&Even Tried To Kill Him.
Desmond is a massive disappointment, the only reason fans like him is because we started his journey in the beginning, but for the love of God this character sucks
