The BMF title was phrase that Nate Diaz came up with during an interview. as I recall, he was asked about wanting the title and being champion or something like this and he basically responded by saying, screw the UFC, he already is a champion, and that he holds the “BMF” title. UFC took notice of the reaction he got from that statement so Nates take was that UFC snatched the idea, ran with it and never gave him credit, pretty much true, lol.

To start its such a WWE thing, Reminds me of the Million dollar man calling himself the million dollar champion, then makes his own belt. Then the fact the whole thing grew out of a soundbite from Nate and the thought of UFC execs getting together and putting the gimmick together without Nate is messed up and funny. Kind of like if a friend told you how he got screwed after buying something from a sketchy website. You laugh at him but at the same time you feel for him.
Love both kinds of videos, always watch these on my lunch break. Good comedic relief and always good facts I can hit my UFC league with on fight nights.

Regis didn't bait Norm into a wrong answer. Norm thought he knew the correct answer, and wanted to keep playing, but Regis convinced him to quit and not take the chance (since it was for charity). As soon as Norm agreed to quit, they showed that Norm had been right all along and would've picked the correct answer if Regis hadn't interfered.
@@Matt_G824 As I recall it Norm had stated the correct answer and wanted to give it as his final, and Regis asked him "are you sure?" like 6 times which made Norm second guess himself. Either way hope they're both on the other side having a laugh about it now

I’ve told Tommy this on Twitter but he holds one of my all time favorite MMAOP moments with “*sarcastically* Oh no Josh, don’t ‘motorboat his ass’, that’ll really rub in the defeat!” So suffice to say I love his goofy brand of delivery on these vids.
Crazy to think there's so many fighters struggling to stay on the roster or financially, sleeping in their cars or gyms and yet there's 2 billionaires fighting for fun. This is what we have come to.
Out of all the nonsense in MMA, this makes perfect sense. The billionaires are seeking a primal thrill to feel human again, while at the same time being hated by a significant portion of the population. It puts butts in the seats. Those who struggle to stay in the roster need to make a name and make fans want to see them, which is always a problem in combat sports.

I liked SnoopCast, so many fans and fighters act like commentary has to be analytical. Never hear complaints about basketball or football commentators joking around.
It's a bit different when he's literally taunting people for getting knocked out... while also not being a fighter at all himself. It's bitch shit to do.
But those commentators never joke about injuries, though. When a player is injured, they get serious. (At least all the ones I've ever seen.) It's a bit different when you're goofing on a person who is most likely concussed.

I don’t mind the gimmicks. As odd as it can be sometimes it’s kinda nice that the UFC is able to do different things with their events that don’t always have to fit the same formulaic broadcast
I've been a UFC fan since the tournament style / rent the shows on DVD because you can't find it on DVD days. For the most part Zuffa and Dana have brought positive changes to the sport. If they do add power slap to UFC cards (and man I hope they don't) hopefully its just for a short time and then they get rid of it. When that happens I can look back on power slap and shake my head with disbelief, just like I do when I'm watching a card with the "born to fight yeah born to fight" or "Face The Pain" song on haha
Jason Thacker (Strange Brew) of TUF Season 1. UFC decided to put a guy with no fighting experience from some remote Canadian town up against some of best fighters in the country. Not sure if they tried to make it more relatable to the common man but didn't end up well with Chris Leben pissing on his bed as a joke.
Story is even sadder since he got bullied by other people when he returned to Canada and men would pick fights with him so they could claim to have beat an UFC TUF guy.
Teddy Atlas will always be to me the most interesting man to talk to about the human mind and heart when it comes to combat sports he may have given his life to boxing but with he gained he has gained an overall perspective on combat sports

Why is it such an issue for fighters to get a little scrutiny and made fun of, especially from freaking Snoop Dogg of all people? How can you claim to be a martial artist and not have the discipline to let a harmless joke go?

@@luliu4572 I don't claim anyone has any right to do anything. I just sympathize with the feeling that the company is truly chewing you up to spit you back out. One thing is the boos from the crowd. Another is the company you work for hiring someone to clown on you. It's enough that the company profits from you getting hurt.
McGregor boxing Mayweather was the dumbest move long term for the UFC….because it just showed other fighters…Francis…Nate…etc…can just go into boxing and at least make decent cash for one single fight. 😂 I love it
Biggest gimmick in ufc history was calling conner a double champ. Dana literally changed the rules just for mcgregor, so he could pretend that he was the first fighter to hold two belts. Plenty of other fighters were double champs but dana realized mcgregor was a fraud and had to create a fake accolade for him. Now that i think about it, mcgregors entire career may have been the biggest gimmick in ufc history.
Can we get a top ten mispronounced names. Rampage saying Fabio Maldonaldo' name to Joe Rogan is by far my favourite moment in the whole of the ufc's history.
I like a good mixture. Tommy you and the team do excellent work no matter the subject matter to bring the right mood and vibe to the subject at hand. That said I do like my lists tongue firmly in cheek.
My favorite is the unis... Dana saying with the announcement of the ReRebok deal about how all the logos on fighters shorts was tacky and the uni will make it more legit. Now they're putting logos on the shorts themselves.
