The worst thing about AC1 was repetitivness and that complaint about Mirage makes no sense. How is it a flaw that the next entry in the series benefits from knowing the series? Every game in the franshise relies on you to know the overall story. I’d say that the combat system is the worst part of Mirage.

I love the forts in AC Odyssey. Also the mercenaries. It is an interesting alternative to the desync thing for killing too many "innocents". Do you go in a fort slow, and methodically wok your way through everyone and loot it afterwards, or do you charge in swords blazing and deal with the mercenaries? Do you fight the mercenaries, or do you quickly kill the mercenary contract or do you push for a battle to clear your contract?

0:20 Glitches that will haunt your nightmares for years to come. I didn't really like the gameplay of AC1. It felt boring. It's also annoying that running makes guards chase you. I don't want to walk to my destination. Liberations was not a good AC game. I usually wander around town as a slave to avoid combat since the Assassin Persona draws unwanted attention. You may not have access to your best weapons but if you're trying to avoid combat, you won't need them. The co-op missions in Unity are still broken. I am unable to swing my weapon and my foes do the same and we just stare at each other. It's really annoying when I can't fight my opponent. I also got stuck on a ladder. If you do all the quests in Origins, you shouldn't have to grind.

@SuperOttoify
@SuperOttoify 11 месяцев назад
@@kpopersword I agree. At first I didn't even want to play Origins, because I couldn't accept the fact that AC turned into an RPG. Then after a year it had dropped I played it. I adored every minute of the story, although at the time I couldn't make peace with the game mechanics chaning. So then I played Odyssey. That game to me was a big letdown. Not because it was a bad game, but it offered almost nothing in terms of story. At least the main game. The DLCs however??? How weren't those in the main game already? The DLCs added more to the story and lore of AC then the entire main game... So yeah, I didn't really like Odyssey that much. I loved Valhalla though. The fight system suits the Viking era better (but this is just a personal taste issue). My problem with Valhalla was as the video states. Some stories and regions were completely unnecessary. The story though? I've had the most fun with the story since the Ezio saga. The Isu and sci-fi parts were woven into the whole game. The artifacts, the legendary weapons and characters. It's a shame they have added too much important story elements into the DLCs, like in Odyssey. That, I will never understand. And honestly? People are freaked out by the amount of side activities in Valhalla, but most of them are unique and have interesting little stories. And more than often you don't even have to go too far from the main quests as the side activities are littered around the main missions. There are game FAR WORSE in this respect. (To mention a few I liked: the dude with the axe in his head; the one where you had to let the cats out of the house to hunt down rats in the wheat field; the part when you have to tell the little girl that his dad is not coming back; the part when you had to fistfight a guy who has the strongest fists in England; etc.)

I find "Revelations" hard to hate, but I think it's bullshit that you can't win a fight in den defense after the tutorial. The first AC has parkour, but its controls are ass. So is its combat system. I hated the combat system in "Rogue", too. I beg to differ on the worst thing in "Origins". The speeches from the Messenger about the Great Catastrophe were utterly pointless to me. While the star circles are nice, I found the War Elephant fights pushing on the side content. If anything sucks about "Syndicate", it's that you can't start a new game.

Odyssey and Valhalla are my two favorite picks without a doubt! Mirage is good too, but seems more of a mini game than an actual one, especially compared to HUGE games like Odyssey and Valhalla. What I dislike about Valhalla is no matter how long or little you wait, your health will not regenerate even a little bit. But I've since grown used to that. What I dislike about Odyssey is similar to the forts thing on this one. I like to leave NO AREAS UNCOMPLETED, but what I don't like is half the time I loot the said forts, I can't even use the gear I get because it's already usually 2-4 levels below my ranking in the game! And also the stealth system in both Odyssey and Valhalla are not that good either.
